- Hasbro Avengers Endgame figures leak on eBay (SPOILERS)
As is often the case, figures for the new Avengers : Endgame movie have found their way onto eBay ahead of any street date. The figures in question are a little further down in the article, and while they don't contain any major spoilers we are giving you the chance to leave the article now.... . . . . . . These are the basic articulation 5.5 / 6 inch figure line we saw debut for Black Panther last year and that extended into Infinity War later in the Summer. The figures are essentially 5 POA as a base and are made to a set size rather than a scale. That means some fit with true 1/12 figures (as we saw with Shuri and Widow in 2018) others are too small. The first two figures leaked are a repack of one of the 2018 figures, War Machine, who we have seen suit up in the recent Super Bowl TV spot. The other figure is a brand new "Ronin" figure, the persona of Clint Barton in Endgame. Both figures come in white themed blister packs, and interestingly there is no direct reference to Endgame on the pack - only the Avengers logo. The back of each card gives some basic character details and the "also look for" figures, showing images of Captain America, Iron-Man and Captain Marvel. More images were then shared by thepoey on Instagram of the Captain America, Captain Marvel and Iron-Man figures. Apparently the so called "quantum suits" that Captain America and Iron-Man are wearing may or may not be relevant to the movie as Director Joe Russo recently said in an article in CBR.com "What’s interesting about toy leaks is that 99 percent of the time they’re not accurate. Because toys are, frankly, tailored to either old concepts or completely different concepts than what’s in the movie," Russo explained. "I laugh a lot when those toy leaks show up because I’m like, well, that’s great, because that’s a misdirect, because it has nothing to do with the film.” These figures have an apparent street date for March, still ahead of the movie launch. For me these are great kid friendly figures for £10 or less that satisfies a child for the hype of the movie and allows for value for money team building, without shelling out the £20 or so on a Legends figure.

- McFarlane to launch 6 inch line of Harry Potter figures
McFarlane have shared the following image on their Facebook page along with the text " A new brand is joining McFarlane Toys in 2019, and trust us – it’s a keeper. " Shortly after the image was posted, a full announcement was made via Comicbook.com McFarlane will be making Harry Potter figures from the first 8 movies starting with the first wave of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and "he who shall not be named" Voldemort. The figures sound like they will be in a 6 inch scale, the same as the Game of Thrones figures that McFarlane are about to launch. However, the interpretation of the articles quote on "6 inch to 12 inch" figures could indicate the respective sizes of the children who would be around 6 inches tall in a 7 inch scale line. Various "beasts" will also be included, starting with Buckbeak the Hippogriff from Prisoner of Azkaban. “The Wizarding World captures the emotions of its fans unlike any other,” the artist said in a recent statement. “Taking the iconic imagery from the Wizarding World and creating figures for everyone to take home is quite an honor for me.” The licence does extend to the Fantastic Beasts movie series and the McFarlane team are excited to jump into this line also. Releases will be planned so that a group of characters compliment each other. That essentially sounds like releases made by movie so the characters are all contemporary to each other. “You don't want the young Harry, and the older Ron, and stuff. It's on the shelf. So we're gonna try, and as much as possible give some continuity, at least for a couple of the figures. We may do a line where we do two or six figures, and maybe three from one movie, and three from another. And then we'll clearly mark those, so that people will know,” The line is also going to be price capped so all releases come in under a $25 price tag, which is great news. The first prototype figures will be on display at Toy Fair 2019 in New York.
- Are McFarlane bringing us Harry Potter action figures in 2019
EDIT : This news has been updated HERE McFarlane have shared the following image on their Facebook page along with the text " A new brand is joining McFarlane Toys in 2019, and trust us – it’s a keeper. " The image and the wording seems to indicate that McFarlane have struck a deal to bring us Harry Potter figures in 2019. The question is will these be 7 inch scale like the Star Trek & Stranger Things lines, or perhaps a smaller scale like the new Game of Thrones figures. The other question will be around the depth of the licence, is it the original movies or does it extend into the Fantastic Beasts movies. Potter fans will be hoping the line goes deep and replicates and goes beyond the original NECA line. However, McFarlane do not seem to be going too deep on any lines presently - calling their figure lines "curated" lines and therefore limited to key characters. We hope to see more at Toy Fair 2019. We could of course all be barking up the wrong Whomping Willow....
