In a move mirroring the arrangement made for the Bill & Ted Rufus figure, NECA will be partnering with Shout Factory! / Scream Factory! for their upcoming Childs Play collectors edition Bluray release. Collectors who buy the deluxe offer set directly from the Shout/Scream Factory! website will receive a limited edition "Good Guys" Chucky doll made by NECA. Chucky will stand 5.5 inches tall and come packed in a "Good Guys" window box. He will come with a hammer accessory. The Bluray package are due for release on the 18th October 2016, and the Deluxe package will be $59.99 and available to US customers only. There will be a standard retail release that will come in different packaging and with a different head option - most likely the standard Chucky head. Chucky is a brand new sculpt for NECA, there is no re-use of older Chuck figures. The figure uses a pose-able body over which are real tailored clothes and punched rooted hair - bringing him more in line with the retro 8" range than the standard plastic figures. Within all the Chucky related discussion though NECA have confirmed again that an Ultimate fully sculpted Chucky is in the works for 2017. Those who buy the set directly from the Shout Factory!/Scream Factory website will also receive a slipcover and poster while those who take advantage of the website’s “deluxe offer” will get two slipcovers, two posters, and a limited edition “Good Guys Chucky” doll from NECA. Both offers are available only while stocks last.

It was announced a few weeks back that Diamond Select would be selling an exclusive Marshmallow Peter Venkman at their SDCC booth, #2607 It seems Marshmallow Peter is not the only Ghostbuster at the show. Toys R Us have just announced that they will be selling the Marshmallow covered Ray Stanz via the Entertainment Earth booth #2343 and also online via the Toys R Us website in the US. Ray is the standard Series 1 select figure with added Marshmallow decor, but is presented in a single green blister card with no rooftop diorama pieces. The packaging will bear the SDCC logo on the yellow name plate. This card design is replicating the current Ghostbusters range in stores at Toys R Us in the US where the diamond figures are sold singular on cards without the diorama pieces that are exclusive to the Select range.

Hasbro have revealed, exclusively via IGN, that their Marvel 3.75" exclusive for SDCC 2016 will indeed be the previously leaked Cosmic themed box set - containing figures of The Collector, Cosmo, Lockjaw and Moon-Boy. Also included in the pack are the Zodiac Key, Casket of Ancient Winters and the Wand of Wataoomb. The set is presented in pretty impressive box which is badged under the now all encompassing Marvel Legends banner. It will be titled The Collector's Vault. The set will cost $69.99 (£54 on direct conversion) and will be a limited run available via booth 3329 at SDCC with a limited number then being available at Hasbro Toy Store following the event. Fans at the Fan Expo Canada will also be able to purchase the set. It is unlikely that this set will follow suit with the Obi Wan Kenobi figure and make its way to the London Film and Comic Con - Marvel was not mentioned on any promotional material for this event.

I am still trying to track this image back to it's source, but it seems to be a Disney teaser image of three exclusives they will bring to Star Wars Celebration Europe. The most exciting for Elite collectors is what looks like a Finn in Trooper armour Elite figure. The Phasma appears to be a static statue of some form with a nice display base. The helmet is one of their 2.5 inch Legion range Storm Trooper helmets. The wording "continue the celebration" seems to indicate that these will initially be on sale in London and then be in Disney stores from Monday 18th. This theory seems borne out where fans have contacted Disney store direct and had this confirmed. Whether this is UK and US remains to be seen.

So it looks like Star Wars Black Series collectors will have another 6" set to pick up at SDCC 2016. As we suspected, when the images showed up a month or so ago, the 3 pack of Astromech's are indeed going to be an SDCC, but through Toys R Us. "You'll only find these items online and at the Entertainment Earth Booth #2343 at the summer's largest Comic Convention in San Diego, CA!" - Toys R Us The online statement in the above quote from Toys R Us does give hope to collectors not attending SDCC, and in certain cases TRU do ship internationally. In fact Biggs droid was R2-Q2, and R2-F2 was only added to the Star Wars Universe via the X-Wing Miniatures game. Costing £50 and strictly one per customer the figure has deluxe metal armour and a fabric cape. Phasma will also be available at SDCC 2016. Distributor Underground Toys, stand S203 , are bringing a number of exclusives to Star Wars Celebration. The first of these are four exclusive Funko Pop! figures A New Hope Medal Ceromony Luke Skywalker A New Hope Medal Ceremony Han Solo Empire Strikes Back Zuckuss Empire Strikes Back Luke Skywalker with severed hand Each figure comes in the standard Funko numbered boxed packaging, but with a convention sticker to the bottom right of the window. The two Luke's and Han looks to read "Galactic Convention Exclusive" where as Zuckuss carries the Star Wars Celebration Logo. The other exclusive is a Talking Plush First Order Storm Trooper with an embroidered base to commemorate the event.

Super 7 have brought us some nostalgic, and frankly cool. Aliens exclusives over the past couple of years. This year looks to be no exception as they bring their 18" Aliens Xenomorph Warrior figure to SDCC (Booth #4945). Previous Super7 releases have used prototype or un-released figures from the late 1970's, early 1980's and obviously were the very first Re:Action figures where they worked in partnership with Funko. This one however is completely of their own imagination, a "what if" of sorts where they have imagined what a follow up to the 18" Big Chap would have looked like at prototype stage. The figure is cast in an off white plastic, is fully articulated and comes in "mock up" packaging, complete with handwritten annotation and a huge Prototype stamp. The price at the show will be $195.

The release date for the T1 Police Station Assault Ultimate Terminator is getting closer, with NECA quoting late July early August for stocks to start hitting. The Ultimate T1 will come with three head options, alternative hands and weaponry.
