In a move mirroring the arrangement made for the Bill & Ted Rufus figure, NECA will be partnering with Shout Factory! / Scream Factory! for their upcoming Childs Play collectors edition Bluray release.
Collectors who buy the deluxe offer set directly from the Shout/Scream Factory! website will receive a limited edition "Good Guys" Chucky doll made by NECA. Chucky will stand 5.5 inches tall and come packed in a "Good Guys" window box. He will come with a hammer accessory.
The Bluray package are due for release on the 18th October 2016, and the Deluxe package will be $59.99 and available to US customers only.
There will be a standard retail release that will come in different packaging and with a different head option - most likely the standard Chucky head.
Chucky is a brand new sculpt for NECA, there is no re-use of older Chuck figures. The figure uses a pose-able body over which are real tailored clothes and punched rooted hair - bringing him more in line with the retro 8" range than the standard plastic figures. Within all the Chucky related discussion though NECA have confirmed again that an Ultimate fully sculpted Chucky is in the works for 2017.
Those who buy the set directly from the Shout Factory!/Scream Factory website will also receive a slipcover and poster while those who take advantage of the website’s “deluxe offer” will get two slipcovers, two posters, and a limited edition “Good Guys Chucky” doll from NECA. Both offers are available only while stocks last.
