NECA have tweeted this behind the scenes image of their Quarter Scale Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So far we have only seen Donatello, but from this image it looks like we could be getting our first look at the full team at SDCC. Before anyone goes searching (like I did) NECA have said there is nothing else hidden in the image. UK / Rest of the World fans should be reminded that these Q-Scale Turtles are currently only licenced for sale in the US.

Another McFarlane Color Top reveal now as they unveil Kait Diaz from Gears of War. Kait is the 2nd Gears of War figure to be announced as part of the new 7" collectors series after JD Fenix. Funko have moved on somewhat from their initial 3.75" 5POA range (Re:Action) and have moved to a 9POA figure with their new Game of Thrones figures. It seems they have also struck a deal to produce similar figures based on Suicide Squad. Initially all we have seen are figures of Harley Quinn and The Joker and these were part of the DC Legion of Collectors monthly subscription box. Whether this signals a wider release plan remains to be seen, but it would seem odd for Funko to invest so much into 3.75" sculpts and then not to use them at mass market.

After a few weeks of speculation and some grainy internet images, Hasbro's Marvel 6 inch Legends exclusive for San Diego 2016 has been revealed via USA Today. The Raft box set is based on the Marvel Universe Super-Villain Prison of the same name and will come with figures of Enchantress, Dreadknight, Abomination, Sandman and Purple Man. And to keep them all in check a Spider-Man figure is also included. The set will cost $119.99 at the show with a limited number available soon after at Hasbro Toy Store for US collectors.

Nerdist have exclusively unveiled a number of new Hasbro Star Wars items that fans attending SDCC will be able to see in the flesh at the Hasbro booth. These are not exclusives to SDCC and the expectations are that these will be in stores in the Autumn as part of a new "Force Friday" type launch for Rogue One branded product. NECA have tweeted this image which shows the proposed packaging lay out for their Alien vs Predator 2-pack. Tamashii Nations, booth S803 at Star Wars Celebration, have confirmed the full details of their exclusive Movie Realization Teppou Ashigaru Sandtrooper. The figure will be badged as a "Summer Commemorative Event Item" and will be available at Star Wars Celebration, San Diego Comic Con and then in Japan via the Tamashii web shop. The figure will vary fromt he standard release via the black pauldron design. We still haven't had any detail on price or the packaging design. Over the course of the last week we have seen three brand new 6 inch exclusive sets revealed by Hasbro. Unmasked Kylo Ren will kick the ball rolling at Star Wars Celebration next week. He will then join A New Hope Obi Wan and an Astromech 3-pack at SDCC. Obi Wan will then of course cross the channel to the UK for the London Film and Comic Con. But is that everything? Well we suspect there may still be "something" up Hasbro's sleeve for SDCC. Let's remind ourselves of the comments made at New York Toy Fair in February 2016 at the Hasbro Panel "the Rogue One series will make its debut as an exclusive figure at San Diego Comic-Con this July" - Comics Alliance "During the Hasbro panel it was revealed that the company will exclusively release a Rogue One action figure during the San Diego Comic Con. No more details were given on that mysterious figure" - Star Wars News "Among the figures listed for 2016 is a SDCC Exclusive -Rogue One Secret Figure". - The Force.net Now of course things do change and Hasbro may have had this planned and then pulled the plans, or indeed had them pulled or amended by Disney. But then there is this Twitter conversation last night from Randy Falk at NECA, who we know to be a collector of the Star Wars Black Series and Marvel Legends. The tweets indicate that Randy is aware of a Marvel Legends 6" exclusive and "others". What that means ultimately is yet to be seen, but I wouldn't be surprised if a further Black Series exclusive pops up in the coming 2-weeks. If we follow the pattern laid down by The Force Awakens with the First Order Trooper at SDCC 2015 - then if we do get a Rogue One exclusive, I wouldn't be looking much past this guy in the Convention Black & White packaging - and then seeing him in the regular line come the mass release on Force Friday II

It has been a while since we have had any details of what the next Star Wars 6" Black Series wave will look like. After the Ahsoka wave we know a number of other figures are in the pipeline, but there have been no confirmation of when these will arrive or what the wave make up will be. Hasbro have however now released 4 promotional images that are now circulating online, it is logical perhaps that we can assume these four will be part of the next wave. It is worth mentioning that these don't seem to be new images, just edited versions of promo shots we saw after Toy Fair 2016. Princess Leia from a New hope will come with soft goods robe and her blaster. The Snowtrooper from Empire will be armed with his blaster rifle. The fans choice Darth Revan will also sport soft goods robe and dual light sabers. And finally the fans choice runner up, Sabine Wren, will be joining Ahsoka and Kanan in the realistic Rebels styling complete with blasters and removable helmet. At this stage there is no images of the AT-AT driver which was on display at Toy Fair with these other figures. There is also still no details on the Black Series C-3PO that we saw all those months ago when The Force Awakens hit cinema's. There are rumours afoot that this (or at least one) C-3PO may be an Amazon exclusive (unconfirmed) We are hoping more will become clearer in the coming fortnight. Hasbro are teasing items being on display at their shared booth with Forbidden Planet at Star Wars Celebration. There will the undoubtedly be a bigger reveal at SDCC - perhaps a first look at Rogue One figures and the almost inevitable move to a phase 4 packaging design.
