  • Images of two more Hasbro Black Series Rogue One figures

Overnight a lot of pre-orders and pre-listings have gone up across the world for Rogue One product that will hit stores from the 30th of September onwards. Within this were images of the 6" Black Series figures of Director Krennic and the Shore / Scariff Trooper. Almost more interesting is that these Black Series are being listed on Disney Store - the first time Disney Stores have carried the Black Series 6" figures directly alongside their own Elite Series figures.

  • SH Figuarts "like father, like son" : Kylo Ren and Han Solo 1/12 figure releases confirmed

It seems an absolute age since we saw the very first image of A New Hope Han Solo from SH Figuarts. Now after all this time the scoundrel is getting a release, with him down to hit the shelves in February 2017. Han will be packed with his trusty blaster and will retail at 5940 yen. This will be circa £44 in the UK and $57 in the US - there will be a few $/£ on top for import. Also revealed this week is an unmasked Kylo Ren figure from SH Figuarts. This unmasked version will be a Tamashii webstore exclusive with pre-orders opening on Force Friday (30th September) and the figure shipping in February 2017. Kylo will be packed with his own mask and the melted Darth Vader helmet. He will also come with his broad-sabre with an unlit and lit version The 6264 yen price equates to £46 / $60, however the exclusivity will make it more difficult for collectors out of Japan to get there hands on this one.

  • McFarlane Assassin's Creed III, Connor

Set against the backdrop of the American Revolution in the late 18th century, Assassin’s Creed III introduces a new hero, Ratonhnhaké:ton, of Native American and English heritage. Adopting the name Connor, he becomes the new voice for justice in the ancient war between the Assassins and Templars! This 7 inch figure was sculpted using 3D assets directly from Assassin’s Creed III to create exact likeness of Connor. He’s dressed in his iconic Assassin robe, as seen on the cover of Assassin’s Creed III and comes armed with a bow and arrow. Figure base is included.

  • SH Figuarts confirm a number of Rogue One 1/12 figures

SH Figuarts have confirmed they too will launch a number of 1/12 scale figures for Rogue One. The first releases will be in December and consist of K-2SO, The Death Trooper and a Rogue One Imperial Stormtrooper. In January 2016 your Imperial forces will then be bolstered by the arrival of the Shore Trooper and the Hover Tank Pilot. All five figures will retail at circa 5600 Yen - that's $54 or £41, but expect to add a bit to this for import and delivery. It will be interesting to see if this Rogue One range is extended to the Human Rebels at some stage. You would assume Jyn Erso is a must at some stage - although we are a year on from The Force Awakens and Figuarts are yet to release a Rey or Finn.

  • Bandai enter the Rogue One product release schedule with their 1/12 Death Trooper figure kit

Force Friday 2016 will certainly be a worldwide affair with product from numerous retailers being made available to fans. Putting the Hasbro and Disney Store news to one side, the next big news for 6" figure collectors will be this 1/12 Death Trooper figure kit from Bandai. Bandai have won lots of fans over the past 18 months with their Star Wars 1/12 kits. Although restricted by being unable to distribute outside of Japan makes getting hold of these difficult, there is no doubt that these highly flexible kits are a big hit with collectors and model builders. The Death Trooper won;t be immediately available come Force Friday, and will instead hit Japanese stores in November. Watch out for import options after this time. The Trooper will come packed with the usual display base, blaster pistol E-11D rifle, DLT-19D and the usual plethora of hand options. There will also be two chest options included in the kit allowing the builder to construct a standard Trooper or the Specialist (I am sure all will become clear when the film hits cinema's) The RRP is 2916 Yen, this works out to £21 or $28. If you are willing to wait past the initial release date when import prices are at a premium, then you should eventually be able to pick one of these up without a massive mark up on the RRP.

  • Full range of Rogue One Disney Elite figures is unveiled

It seems the Disney Elite 6" Diecast figure range for Rogue One is much larger than we initially thought. The combined press barrage across today (31st August) has confirmed the following figures will hit Disney stores come the 30th of September - the blurb on the press release does indicate that the 30th September may be a pre-order situation and not necessarily "in hand" immediately. Each figure will retail at $26.95. It is unsure if the weaker £ after Brexit will mean UK stores keep their £19.95 price tag or if a price wise is inevitable. Black Series fans will initially look on enviously to the wider roster of Rebels that the Elite series will offer - particularly Chirrut Imwe, Baze Malbus and Bodhi Rook. Other figures like Director Krennic or the Shoretrooper are resigned to the smaller 4" figurine pack releases. This figurine pack is the first look at a Darth Vader figure from Rogue One (I am sure there will be many more). Sergeant Jyn Erso Elite Series Die-Cast Action Figure Felicity Jones’s action-ready hero gets an action-ready figure. This is one of several Jyn-related toys and role-play items due out on Sept. 30, perhaps making up for complaints of low-inventory of Rey paraphernalia last year. Available for preorder Sept. 2. ($26.95) C2-B5 Imperial Astromech Elite Series Die Cast Action Figure $26.95 Captain Cassian Andor Elite Series Die Cast Action Figure The Rebel pilot played by Diego Luna. ($26.95) Chirrut Îmwe Elite Series Die Cast Action Figure The blind Force-sensitive character (played by Donnie Yen) boasts a sweet blaster that echoes Chewie’s classic bowcaster. ($26.95) Baze Malbus Elite Series Die Cast Action Figure Jiang Wen’s mercenary comes well armed with a weapon we’ve named the Baze-ooka. ($26.95) K-2S0 Elite Series Die Cast Action Figure In the film, Alan Tudyk gives voice to this reprogrammed Imperial security droid. K-2SO is shaping up to be on of the more popular characters, along with Jyn and the Death Trooper. ($26.95) Bodhi Rook Elite Series Die Cast Action Figure Riz Ahmed’s pilot character comes fully accessoriezed. ($26.95) Imperial Death Trooper Elite Series Die Cast Action Figure The sleek minion of Imperial Director Orson Krennic is one of the most intimidating toys around. ($26.95) Deluxe Figure Play Set (4" figurine) This 10-piece set of posed figures includes all the heroes and plenty of villains: Director Krennic, Death Trooper, Shoretrooper, and Darth Vader himself. ($24.95)

  • NECA Series 17 Predator wave - Ghost Predator Cardback Reveal

NECA's Kenner inspired Series 17 Predators are about a month away from hitting retail. As NECA countdown to this anticipated set of figures, they have released this teaser image of the card-back for the Ghost Predator. Like the figure itself the card-back echoes back to the Kenner Predator figures of the early 1990's with it's comic art and retro grid effect background.
