As a childhood favourite, we have been following the development of the 4" Bucky O'Hare series of figures from Boss Fight Studio's over the past few months. We have now got a full reveal of the first two figures - Bucky O'Hare and Jenny Bucky will be shipped with two interchangeable facial expressions, a pair of blasters and two pairs of gloved hand options. Jenny comes with three face options, one of which is winking. She will also get two pair of hands and a further pair with firing effect. There are two other FX pieces that look to clip to her wrists. A number of reductions that may be of interest at Smyths Toy Superstores Star Wars Black Series 6" are down to £10. This is Rogue One Wave 1 and remnants of the Force Awakens Figures. That means if you are lucky uncovering a Death Trooper or K-2SO is a possibility. DC Collectible Batman Animated Series figures are now down to £799, the same as B&M but with a wider selection. Mattel Multiverse 6" figures are reduced to £9.99, this is the Batman vs Superman wave. The store I was in was wall to wall Batman. I guess others may have Superman, Armoured Batman or Wonderwoman. The larger 12" Multiverse figures were a staggering £8.50 each....

TK Maxx stores appear to be receiving a selection of DC Collectible 6.75" figures and have them priced at £12.99 each The figures seem to be from two series - Gods & Monsters and Throne of Atlantis. The TK Maxx model means these will be split down at distribution and sent in as a handful to each store. That may mean trawling round a few stores to found all the ones you want. They will also be a one hit only, no restocks. If they dont sell they may reduce further after 4-weeks.

The SH Figuarts Hall of Armor is expanding to include the Mark 5 "Suitcase" suit later this year. The Mark 5 was seen in Iron-Man 2 when Tony was attacked on the Monaco Race Track by Whiplash. He will be packed with the suitcase accessory. The suit will be a Bandai Collectors Shop Exclusive, but I suspect Bluefin may pick this up for a US release in one way or another - and if it goes on sale in US then a UK option or import is then also a possibility. In Japan it looks to be shipping in October 2017, but expect pre-orders to go up soon.

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Predator, Alamo Theatres in the US screened the original 1987 movie for fans. At the Yonkers, New York Alamo Theatre NECA were on hand for a special reveal on the night. Randy Falk exclusively revealed the Hornhead Predator, part of the Dark Horse comic series - appearing first in the Predator : Life & Death series. Hornhead will feature a removable mask and by the looks of things a pair of wrist blades and a Katana weapon of some kind. Hornhead will be part of Series 18 from NECA. We now know that Series 18 will contain Hornhead, and the previously teased Broken Tusk (below).

After a hiatus away from Twitter, Randy Falk is back and has been tweeting about the upcoming Alien Day (26th April) as well as giving hints about new reveals. For Alien day the indication is that it will be something to compliment last years Kenner inspired Ripley Space Marine. There is also the indication there will be some Covenant reveals. On the tease front, this image has been teased. The common theory is that this is the head sculpt for either a Kenner inspired Panther or Crab Alien (as below) and will be part of another Kenner inspired series.

Mini-Meph is now 7 and like many of his generation is a fan of YouTube. He has now re-branded himself as Isaac Gamer TV and has just finished his first YouTube un-boxing and review figure of the Bandai 6" PVC 1964 Godzilla. Apart from helping him with the camera and editing, it is all his own work. As he can't have his own Facebook or YouTube page at this point we will be hosting his videos for him. Medicom will be releaseing a new version of their Selina Kyle MAFEX figure in December 2017, with revised head sculpt of Anne Hathaway from her appearance as Cat-Woman in The Dark Knight Rises. Badged as Seline Kyle Ver2.0, the figure will be released in December 2017. Included in the pack are what appears to be both masked and unmasked head options. There is then a set of interchangeable visors, a handgun and a Batman mask.

Images have been circulated showing the 7 figures in the Marvel Legends 2nd wave of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 figures. The wave will contain Rocket (including alternative head) and Baby Groot, Gamora, Nebula and a long coat Starlord. The comic book inclusions are Adam Warlock, Ex Nihlo and Death Heads 2. The build a figure will be a movie version of Mantis.

These were originating in China, but unlike a lot of bootlegs these were pretty nicely sculpted and articulated. The majority were also in scale (or near enough) to the 7" Marvel Select figures from Diamond. While I do not condone fake copies of existing figures, these bootlegs are not a direct copy of a released figure. They also represent characters not available in the 7" scale. The issue with the figures in the main is poor head sculpts. The human heads also tend to be too small vs the body and are painted in gloss paint. Thanks to the brilliant Kent32 a Jeremy Renner sculpt in 7" scale was available so with one of these shipped over from Kent32 it was a case of giving the Civil War Hawkeye a repaint. These bootlegs are easily disassembled for painting with a little hot water or hair drying. Once Hawkeye was in parts he was painted in an Anthracite Grey coat and then onto this areas were picked out in black and a dark blue colour. It was then a case of picking out the silver buckles and giving the bow and quiver a dry-brush of silver. The bow itself comes with a quite thick plastic string, so I cut this off. The only issue with the quiver is that it is not stocked with any arrows - I am still looking for this. My face painting skills are very basic. and Hawkeye was given a flesh tone. Then lips with a touch of red in the flesh tone. The eyes were painted white with brown iris. Hair and eyebrows were added with a dark brown base and then a gradual dry-brush of lighter tones over the top. Hawkeye is a touch smaller than his original Select Avengers release, but he doesn't look massively out of place alongside other figures. If you want to make him a touch taller then you can hyper extend the hips with a bit of downward force.
