The fourth of the McFarlane DC Collector Edition 2-packs will feature The Batman Who Laughs in Knight Armour alongside The Merciless (Dark Multiverse). The pack will include a sword accessory for The Merciless and a large diorama base for both figures. This was a timed exclusive in the US shared between Walmart and GameStop and due to ship in early August 2025. It would then go on to be available through Amazon as of November 2025. In the UK, it will be available through the UK distributor. Tamashii Nations have revealed two new S.H. Monsterarts Godzilla releases coming in Spring 2026. These will be i the Movie Graphics Plus line and come complete with a movie poster and stand to display with your figure. They include the 2014 Godzilla from the first Legendary MonsterVerse movie. He will come with a movie poster display. The second figure is the 1954 Godzilla, again also including a movie poster. The two figures are open for pre-orders as of the 7th of November 2025 with the 1954 Godzilla due to ship in April 2026 and the 2014 Godzilla shipping in May. This variation of Godzilla from the 2014 film was produced (prototype, coloring, and modeling) by the leading Godzilla sculptor, Yuji Sakai. The coloring has been adjusted to match its appearance in the film. Godzilla also comes with a papercraft featuring the movie's poster art. Godzilla as it appears in the very first feature film released 1954, comes to the MOVIE GRAPHIC PLUS lineup. As seen at NYCC 2025, Tamashii Nations are set to release two new S.H. Figuarts figures from Wicked. They include Elphaba and Glinda who are both recreated in their movie outfits and come with alternative expressions, hands, and accessories. The pair are open for pre-ordering at Tamashii stockists as of the 7th of November 2025 and they will ship in April 2026. Elphaba from Wicked features her iconic green coloring and jet-black dress and cape. She comes with a variety of optional parts, including her hat, to recreate scenes from the film. Three intricately detailed expression parts, created with Tamashii's Digital Coloring technology are also included. Specially crafted articulation lets you recreate scenes from the film. Glinda's multi-layered pink bubble dress is recreated with delicate sculpting and a sheer color palette. Her glittering wand and tiara are also meticulously designed. "He slimed me" The Hasbro Ghostbusters Plasma Series of 6-inch collector figures launched in 2020 with a wave of figures from the original 1984 movie that included the original Ghostbusters team. Only one further wave would make it into production in 2021 from Ghostbusters: Afterlife, but the line did not completely disappear through limited sales, with Hasbro re-using the original four Ghostbusters to create a special wave of ‘Slimed’ Glow-in-the-Dark figures, released in the autumn of 2021. Variant figures in a Ghostbusters line are nothing new, with Diamond Select also releasing slimed versions and glow in the dark versions in their run.  The ‘Slimed’ wave utilised the same packaging dimensions and base design as the core figures, with a beige backdrop and name plate for the figure, both in line and paying homage to the Ghostbusters uniform. The figure is displayed in a large window that wraps the right-hand side and the upper flap, with the ‘No Ghost’ logo predominantly positioned in the bottom left corner. Over all of his is applied some ‘slimed’ decor effects and in the top left corner, a circular callout with a picture of Slimer confirms that the set includes a glow-in-the-dark feature.  The left hand panel continues to feature stylised head profiles of each of the four Ghostbusters, again now with a slimed and green overlay. The back of the box follows the same principles as the main release, but with the green hue applied. This means the No Ghost logo is green rather than red, and the Slimer ‘glow-in-the-dark’ feature panel is repeated. Each Ghostbuster is pictured on the reverse, with the character actually included slightly increased in size, and the text box is then turned over to a very quick overview of the character. Behind the figures, each held in an inner tray, is the backing card for the box, which is again a green hued version of the original cardback featuring blueprint style imagery of the Proton Packs and ECTO-1. Overall, the boxes are virtually identical for each figure, with the only changes being the front name plate and the rear bio segment.  Each figure shares the same base body, and it is the same figures released on 2021 as part of the 1984 Ghostbusters Wave. The main suit is cast in beige, with sculpted zip and pocket detail as well as the name plate on the left hand side of the chest. A softer plastic belt is added over the top in off-white with black clips, components, and a holster for a walkie-talkie, which is sadly sculpted and not removable and usable as an accessory. A yellow hose connects the belt to the top of the left thigh and is flexible enough to move with the figure as it's posed.  The gloves are longer sleeves painted in gloss black, and the boots across Winston, Egon, and Ray sitting just above ankle height with the suit pants tucked in, painted again in gloss black. The Peter figure is a slight variance with different lower legs to represent his on-screen look with his trousers not tucked in; therefore, the boots are only seen at the foot section coming out of the lower hem of the trousers. The nameplate itself is painted with the character's name, and the only other decor is the Ghostbusters logo on the right shoulder applied as a decal. The heads are all good representations of the four key characters with sculpted detail, then enhanced with facial print technology. This includes sculpted glasses for Egon that are part of the head sculpt and therefore do not look oversized and out of place, as we often get with glasses accessories. The trade-off is an odd look from the side profile, where the glasses' sides connect directly into the face rather than there being a gap. The ‘slimed’ effect is all paint application, with no added sculpting. This is varied on each figure but applied across the head, torso, arms, and legs in patches as though splashed around.  In terms of comparison with the 2020 wave from the 1984 movie and outside of the slimed effect itself, the suits on these newer releases are darker and arguably more accurate. I also think the facial printing on most figures is improved and gives a better look overall. Ray is significantly improved, with Egon also looking more like Harold Ramis than the earlier release. Peter and Winston remain broadly similar. Each figure is included a Proton Pack with attached Neurtrono Wand. This is made up of a black cast Proton Pack and a green cast frame with shoulder straps. The two are attached with plug-in fixings. The entire pack features decor around the core components, including silver, grey, red, and blue across the rear parts including the main data cable, the wiring, and the nuclear accelerator segment. Over this, we also have another layer of slime decor. The pack unclips at the left hand side to allow the right hand loop to go over the right arm and head, reconnecting to secure the pack and hold it in place. This positioning is supported by a large rear socket and a plug on the pack that centralises it on the figure.  The Neutrono Wand uses the same black plastic and is permanently connected to the pack by way of a partly flexible black cable. The only decor on the wand is a silver emitter and some silver components under the main body. You can display the Wand slung by way of a shaped lug that slots into a socket on the Proton Pack. This fit is not completely secure, and while it holds in place, it can slip and move as the figure is handed. The connecting cable between pack and wand can also pose an issue, as it lacks true flexibility and while it bends, it still holds some resistance, and that can pull the wand out of the Proton holster. Each figure can grip the wand in one or two hands, putting it into a firing position. You can simulate this firing with the included proton stream, a part only included with Winston in the original run. To tie in with the glow-in-the-dark theme, these are now recoloured, cast with a central translucent orange core and a surrounding array of pale yellow translucent energy effects. The piece connects to the Neutrono Wand by way of a tube at the start of the effect, wrapping over the emitter. The length of the effect can cause the beam to bend slightly, but overall, there is stability across the wand, effect, and from the figure that provides the base for the entire piece. While the streams should be uniform in their colour, it is worth noting that when we unpacked our four figures, the stream with Winston was lighter than the others. This may have been from a different batch. Articulation is pinned, and there are 21 points in total. The legs include double-joint knees to allow the figure to sit, crouch and kneel. The arms start off with butterfly shoulders and then include double-joint elbows, which all tie in with the ability to wield the proton stream while also allowing the figure a level of character through posed gestures. The bicep swivel and thigh swivel are a little ugly in terms of how they cut across the sculpt and sit out of line when moved, but otherwise, there is plenty of range in the figure whilst not sacrificing any of the overall looks.  So what about that key selling point of the glow-in-the-dark effect? Well, we can confirm it works, but it does require ‘charging’ under sunlight or a light source first - the stronger the charge, the clearer the glow. The front paintwork is the most visible in darkness, less so on the back of the figure, simply down to lesser paint application in this area. The proton streams also glow to a similar luminescence.  As a gimmick release, the ‘slimed’ figures are a relatively simple variant for Hasbro, even though they are technically not screen accurate outside of Pete,r who was ‘slimed’ in the first film. In fact, the more accurate variation may have been to release these as 'Marshmallowed' figures as seen in the 1984 finale, but to do that properly would have meant sculptural changes, not just paint additions to the existing figure. The promo images for the figures did not do the wave justice, with digital images circulated in the main and still in use today, where the figures remain on sale. In hand, they are very impressive and probably edge the original figures in terms of the accuracy of the uniform colour and the facial print tech. What they do lack is the additional accessories seen on the first wave like the PKE meter, Ghost Trap, and Ecto-Goggles, and while giving each of them a proton stream, changing the colour is marginally frustrating when we really needed the original colouring to fill the gaps left in the Wave 1 releases. It seems there are better figures incoming by way of the Rooftop set in early 2026, and for now, the earlier figures are reasonably easy to obtain on the secondary market - although for a cheaper set for display, these glow-in-the-dark variants do a pretty good job. “I have no name. But the Jedi like you might call me… Sith.” The Stranger was the key antagonist of the 2024 Star Wars series The Acolyte on Disney+ while acting as himself or as his alter-ego Qimir influencing Mae and supporting her on her journey. His identify and full appearance were kept secret for much of the show's promotional activity and his full role not unveiled completely until Episode Five. That made the development of him as a Black Series figure difficult until the show have aired and while the first Acolyte figures were released in the Autumn of 2024, we have had to wait a full year to add The Stranger to our collection. The Stranger is released as part of the main Galaxy Collection and is part of Wave 23 alongside the Revenge of the Sith figures of Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Lieuteant Galle, and the new Imperial Sandtrooper from A New Hope. He is the 10th figure from The Acolyte, and uses the deep red accent colour on the text and the side artwork that depicts the masked, and cloaked, Stranger looking back over his shoulder with lightsaber in hand. This art connects directly to the Deluxe Kelnacca who proceeded him in the series. The rear of the box covers the top line information for the character and his alter-ego. The cardback sat within the box and behind the figure is the same red as the artwork and text, and also incorporates an image of the jungles on Khofar where the Jedi first encounter him and do battle.  The figure of The Stranger includes, as you break it down, a variety of different looks that we see in the various episodes of The Acolyte. We start with a large, soft plastic robe that sits over the figure and encompasses much of the body leaving the arms visible and accessible at either side. These arms are a bare skin tone and covered in grime and dirt as seen on screen. The left forearm includes the sculpted Cortosis bracer, a rough textured piece with incorporated battle damage. It is cast in grey and painted with a mix of copper and bronze to add the metallic texture with two clasps also picked out in silver. While this is a sleeved piece, it cannot be removed even after the left hand is popped off.  The head sculpt for ‘Qimir’ is an excellent likeness to actor Manny Jacinto and incorporates his light moustache, deep set brow, and the mop of dark hair which hangs in strands around his face also adding a level of shadow to the right hand side.  To move past the larger robe you must pop off the head which will come off attached to the neck which is a key element of the figure as we will see shortly. Under the rubbery plastic robes are a second set of soft goods robes. These are not overly tailored and form a tabard of sorts with the head hole fitting over the head & neck to create some softer goods layers beneath the outer robe, on their own they are useable particularly to provide the figure a robed look while maximising articulation but they do hang flat and are relatively lifeless. Beyond these is the base sculpt with The Stranger wearing a Jedi-esque upper robe in black with cross pieces tucked into a belt which is a textured scaled affair. The legs, also cast in black are relatively plain trousers and a plain pair of boots, and these are then enclosed in a second soft goods pair of trousers, fixed at the waist, and covering all of the leg. These are accurate to The Stranger’s outfit on screen, and choosing soft goods over sculpting such a voluminous leg continues to support the figures articulation.  So we have had three different looks so far with the two robed variations and the base figure in his inner robes. You can then change these further by swapping out the head with that of the masked Cortosis mask. Despite executing some excellent wearable helmets in recent years, the decision here is to use an alternative head allowing both the head and neck to be changed to match the onscreen appearance. This is easily done and positions the Stranger mask securely into position in any of the robed configurations. The mask itself is a bronze base colour with a metallic finish. Scratches and repairs are evident in darker grey with the narrow eye slit given a black finish, and the ‘teeth’ across the extended jaw section painted in silver.  While the head & neck are intended to be swapped as a single piece, it is possible to remove the neck from the head with a bit of heat treatment and a gentle pull to disengage the ball joint. The benefit here is for the masked head, freeing it from the neck and while The Stranger cannot wear it, it then becomes an accessory of sorts to hold under his arm. The actual accessories are two lightsabers, packed into the box as two individual items. The first is the main bladed weapon, the second the Lightdagger he uses to kill Jecki Lon. While not specified on the packaging, I was so pleased to find that the hilt of the two blades combine into a larger hilt for the main blade, replicating the hidden dagger section we see deployed on screen. Both halves of the hilt are black with basic scupted panels and components, but no additional paint work. The saber can be held in either or both hands, but there is no holstering option. The two blades are translucent red and clip into their respective hilt sections securely, the larger blade clicking into place with a lighter connection on the smaller dagger hilt due to the duel nature of the socket to connect it to the blade and the larger hilt.  The Stranger boasts 21 points of articulation in total. The legs still feature a thigh swivel, which may be included because it is hidden behind the soft goods as it is not an obvious re-use from another figure. This combination of leg joints and soft goods still facilitate him kneeling, crouching and wider fighting stances, although they are diminished when the outer robe is added.  The arms have a relatively full range of motion with butterfly shoulders helping bring them into two handed lightsaber positions. The hands are on ball joints rather than pivot pegs which does give them a wider range of overall movement, but with that movement more restricted and the risk of them popping out if forced too far over. The neck, as we know, is duel jointed so this and the central torso joint add in some additional movement to lean him into poses and to move and tilt his head to add further mannerisms incorporated into the role by Jacinto. This is by nearly every definition of the Black Series an excellent figure with a good likeness to the unmasked head, a good replication of that original helmet design in both sculpted and colour, and with outfit choices to give you further options. I get the decision around the helmet as a swap out head rather than wearable considering The Stranger’s messy hair style, I do just wish the neck was a bit easier to disconnect as well so you can use the head more as an accessory to hold. That aside the accessory choices are excellent and to even engineer a working lightsaber dagger that detached from the main hilt is a nice touch.  In terms of the outfit, the mix of soft goods and sculpted continues to be blended well by the design team and who knew soft goods pants would work so well. That being said, the figure in its unrobed position is how we meet The Stranger on his unknown planetary base and while this is the most poseable configuration, in the series he doesn’t really do much in these scenes and in this outfit version. Where he does battle the Jedi initially on Khofar and then again on Brendok he is in full robed mode and doing this on the figure does lock down some of the articulation. The clever part is there is technically an alternative soft goods inner cape which will open up that articulation for those that want the Stranger in full robes and helmet and still in those dynamic lightsaber duel poses.  All of this does mean that I, like many others I’ve seen commenting online, I feel I need to buy this figure again to show him in at least a couple of varying outfits to match his defined looks during the run of the show. To that end I can see him selling pretty well in the mid-term. The Stranger feels like a conclusion to The Acolyte Galaxy Collection considering no further seasons are incoming, although I do dare Hasbro to add one more in the shape of the teased Darth Plagious to finish the set. Revealed today by Hasbro at their panel at the Lucca Comics & Games show in Italy was this new Star Wars Black Series Holiday release of the Valentine Ewok. This is the first Holiday Edition to mark Valentine's Day and includes the existing Black Series Ewok sculpt, now in pink, with red hood, and a recoloured bow & arrow (from Wicket) in white. The set also includes a pink BD droid and a Valentine's card. We are awaiting release details, but assume it will be shipped well in advance of February the 14th 2026. Revealed by the Hasbro team at Lucca Comics & Games in Italy is this new 'Spotlight' set featuring three versions of Optimus Prime showcasing the artistry and evolution behind the Transformers line. The three figures in the set represent the grey model prototype, the paint sample prototype, and the finished figure, complete with comic shading. The set will include accessories for all three versions of Prime, the Matrix of Leadership, Energon axe, and blaster.
