McFarlane's next DC Multiverse releases have been revealed as Ice from Fire & Ice, and the Rocket Red Brigade from Justice League: Generation Lost Ice will include a variety of Icy FX parts. while the Rocket Red Brigade will come with three numbering options for Army Building and a pair of rocket booster effects. The figures are listed as January 2026 releases. She soon formed a close friendship with fellow heroine Fire. Ice was selected as the Scandinavian member for the UN-sponsored Justice League International team. On their first mission to Peru, she was caught in a thermal blast from a giant alien robot, forcing the team to retreat. The JLI subsequently confronted the robot’s master, the alien resource-plunderer Peraxxus, and drove him away. The Rocket Red Brigade was commissioned by Russia’s rulers as a military-controlled response to metahuman threats and proliferation. The technology is a combination of human ingenuity and alien bio-engineering, thanks to the contributions of Green Lantern Kilowog, who innocently offered his aid while on a fact-finding mission to Russia. Rocket Reds were part of the first Justice League International team. The first was exposed as an android Manhunter infiltrator, while the second—Dmitri Pushkin—died battling renegade O.M.A.C. units. Currently composed of older units and more modern upgrades, Rocket Reds now solely protect Russian interests, with reports of potential international incidents involving Supergirl, Peacemaker, and China’s New Super-Man. "I made a vow to have peace, no matter how many people I have to kill to get it." John Cena’s Peacemaker was one of the few DC characters to survive and transition from the DC movies universe started by Zak Snyder into the new slate of movies and TV projects headed up by James Gunn. In the McFarlane DC Multiverse series of 7-inch collector figures, Peacemaker has had three releases to date, all from 2021 and based on his first appearance in the James Gunn Suicide Squad movie. As the Peacemaker TV series marked its second season in 2025, McFarlane updated the Peacemaker figure to a Season 2 release under their newly established Deluxe Theatrical Edition stable. The McFarlane Deluxe Theatrical Edition of Peacemaker, as seen in Season 2, was a general release and started shipping in the UK in late November of 2025. It uses the established DC Multiverse box construction with a broad window box with a hanging tab, but uses a stark black colour scheme that contrasts against the yellow of the Peacemaker logo, with that same yellow also providing a border for the window and a nameplate for the figure, as well as a coloured inset for the McFarlane Toys logo.  The back of the box has no details of the character, the figure, or indeed any other McFarlane figures. Instead, it replicates the Peacemaker Season 2 ‘Peace Out M***** F******’ poster with the peace sign and the flaming Eagly symbols. Behind the figure tray inside the box is another callout to the show's promo material with a red backdrop with yellow and red trim and featuring the Peacemaker logo. Attached to this and not removable without causing any damage are the Collector Card and the Display Stand for the figure.  It is probably better to refer to this figure as Peacemaker 2.0 as rather than being an entirely new figure, McFarlane has simply taken the original 2021 Suicide Squad body and tweaked it for this Season 2 figure. The costume, which has remained consistent across Cena’s time in the role, includes a pair of light tan trousers with blue textured side patches, a tight red short-sleeved top with blue trim and central logo, and a pair of black combat boots. These are all identical to the first release, but what is new is the belt with a holster and a handful of other tools and components. The belt uses the same blue as the outfit trim, with a painted silver buckle and component sections. The arms are cast in a flesh tone, and these plug into the T-shirt line of the upper shoulders. The figure concludes with a pair of dark blue gloves.  The headsculpts included with the figure are new, and the one fitted on arrival is that of Peacemaker wearing his Season 2 helmet. The head is sculpted and cast independently of the helmet in the same flesh tone as the arm, and with a visible likeness to Cena and more accurate paint work. Although this is still not obviously photo-printed like Hasbro. The helmet is a silver finish and includes cut-out eye panels and is shaped around Peacemaker's nose and down over his cheeks. It features a central sculpted emblem, painted in gold and then with two metallic turquoise stripes leading away and back over the helmet.  The helmet is removable, leaving a partial head underneath that can then accommodate the other two helmets, which are packed as accessories. Each of these alternative helmets is shaped internally with a round socket that corresponds with the very unnatural circular plug on Peacemaker’s partly formed head. The second helmet is the older Suicide Squad helmet, also used in Peacemaker Season 1. This is silver in colour and shaped very similarly to the Season 2 helmet with the central emblem, but without any other colouration.  The third helmet option is the X-Ray helmet, with a slightly different side trim with a more visible texture and shaped so they don't extend all the way to the crest of the helmet. Like the main piece, this also uses a base silver colour with the gold central badge and the metallic turquoise trim. In the original 2021 versions, you had to buy two figures to get an unmasked version. In this Deluxe Theatrical Edition, we also get an unmasked John Cena head included, so you can vary the look even further from the three different helmets to an unhelmeted version. Like the base head, this is cast in a flesh tone with a good John Cena likeness and painted facial details. Here, the lack of photo-real decor is obvious, with a more traditional paint on the eyes and eyebrows. The hair, as sported by Cena through Season 2 (and his farewell tour for WWE) includes a side parting and combed back fringe. Like the facial features, this is flat in its paint decor without any depth through a wash or highlighting. With the unmasked head in place, any of the three helmets can now also be used as accessories and held in Cena’s hands or under his arm. The other accessory is Peacemaker’s Desert Eagle handgun, cast in grey and with a silver finish and a painted white handgrip and central shaft. This is designed to be held in either hand or stowed in the holster on the figure's belt. This holster is a tighter fit than I would like as the hole at the bottom to accommodate the long barrel is not quite big enough.  Each of Peacemaker’s hands includes a trigger finger, so he can wield the weapon in both hands with the articulation of the arms suitable to have the weapon raised into a firing position.  The packaging quotes 22 points of articulation. By our way of counting joints, this is 18 in total, with the elbow and knee double-jointed, hence why McFarlane counts these twice. These elbow and knee joints are also pinned, with the pins very visible on the arms in particular. The arms also feature a rudimentary shoulder and a bicep swivel, which, when used, puts the arm out of line with the upper sleeve of the T-shirt. I also found the double-jointed elbow doesn’t always engage as designed, with a very visible and quite ugly split when bent, as the middle section of the elbow configuration often sticks and doesn't move as intended. As well as gun-firing positions, the arms can also be posed to replicate many of Peacemaker’s gestures, and to a degree, some of the dance moves from the series.  The leg joints are also limited in some areas, particularly the hips behind the rubber groin section. There are no swivels on the legs, either in the thighs or in the bootcut. This keeps the legs oriented in one direction only, with the ability to bend the knees fully, but not to rotate them. The ankle rockers do keep the figure stable once positioned around the secure ratchets to have the feet planted to the surface. Just under these ankle joints are a pair of hinged toes, which also help with some balancing in walking or running poses.  The set is concluded with the first appearance in the McFarlane line of Peacemakers' sidekick, Eagly. This is a static sculpted Eagle with zero articulation. It is painted in basic browns with a white finish for the head and the tail feathers. The talons and feet are picked out in yellow, with black used for the eyes and talons. Colouring is all quite flat, relying on the sculpt for definition and not the application of any washes or drybrushing to enhance the details. Proportionally, it looks fine, but without articulation, you are left with Eagly in take-off/landing mode with the wings outstretched.  We might have expected a clip on the talons or a plug-in option to keep Eagly secured to Peacemaker. This has not been engineered, so instead any pose, including Eagly, has to rely on careful balancing of the two figures and either a very secure display position that won’t get knocked easily, or through the use of external materials like Museum Putty or similar.  The Peacemaker 2.0 figure is a substantial upgrade on the original release, not so much in the body sculpt or decor but certainly in the facial likeness and the included accessories. The release shows the strides McFarlane has made in the live-action figure space since 2021, and this recent switch to the Deluxe Theatrical Edition format is a welcome move. Even though the base price is higher, this is offset by the accessories and display options and is preferable to having to find and buy multiple variations of the same figure. That all being said, the figures are still dated in some areas against similar collector lines, with the Marvel Legends figures being an obvious comparison. While the McFarlane releases are a larger scale, they are pretty much outdone by Hasbro in all other areas, particularly articulation and realistic facial decor.  Within the McFarlane line, this Peacemaker 2.0 release is at the better end of the scale and while there are some wider improvements the line could make as a whole, this figures only real issue at this moment of time is around the Universe-Building aspect of collecting, with no other figures from either Season 1 or Season 2 of Peacemaker available or even in the works. The next Hiya Toys Exquisite Basic release in their 6-inch scale Godzilla range will be Tiamat from Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire. We have seen unpainted prototypes of the figure a number of times this year, but we now have the full promo gallery in full colour. Tiamat will measure 40cm in length (around 15.5 inches) and features a wired tail for posing. The rest of the figure is articulated as normal across the multi-segmented serpent-like body, the arms, and the mouth - including adjustable cranial fins. To support the figure on display, a display stand is also included. The wait for Tiamat is quote extensive, listed by Hiya as a Q1 (Jan-March) release for 2027, so over a years lead time from pre-order at Hiya stockists to delivery. NECA are repacking and re-releasing their 2022 SDCC exclusive from The Thing, replicating the original movie poster. The Poster Series release comes with a hooded action figure in 7-inch scale, including a light-up LED face. As we wait for the arrival of the first wave of Nacelle Toys Star Trek series, it has been announced that the first exclusive of the line is on its way. In collaboration with Star Trek: The Cruise, a special 60th Anniversary Exclusive will be available only to those on Voyage IX. The Voyage IX cruise runs from the 20th to the 27th of February 2026. While the image is blurred out, we would have to assume that the exclusive would be a variant of an already developed figure, considering the cruise is only three months away. While the image may not be of the figure, if it is, this looks very much like a variant of the Original Series Romulan Commander and very likely to be Kirk as a Romulan from The Enterprise Incident. The blurb on the Nacelle website indicates the figure will still be numbered, and is number 09 in the collection. Considering the very exclusive nature of this figure, this will leave a numbered gap for in-box collectors going 'all in' on the collection, and the announcement has not gone down well with online comments already showing disappointment in the decision. The new G.I. Joe Classified Series Arctic H.I.S.S. Tank has now opened for its pre-order window. While the first H.I.S.S. Tank was a HasLab, this redecor version is being sold via Hasbro Pulse as a timed pre-order. The item will then be produced based on the pre-order numbers and will ship in October 2026. "I made the Sentinels to protect normal people. 'Now I am become Death.'" Collectors of the Marvel Legends line from Hasbro had been granted access to some significantly sized characters over recent years through the HasLab program, including Giant Man, Galactus and a Sentinel. HasLab offerings were always something that needed to be paid for upfront, a year or more out from actually receiving the product. That scenario shifted in 2024 when the Marvel Legends team announced a range of Ultra Deluxe figures. While not at the same complexity or size as HasLab offerings, these were considerably larger articulated figures to complement the Legends line, and unlike HasLab, these figures could be pre-ordered, and payment was not taken until the item shipped, approximately a year or so after the pre-order window closed.  The first of these Ultra Deluxe releases was a Dragon Man from the Fantastic Four, and soon after the announcement was made that this line would then be tackling a Sentinel as seen in the X-Men 97 animated series.  The Marvel Legends X-Men ‘97 Sentinel was finally shipped out to collectors in late November 2025, arriving in an outer shipping box and a second inner protective box. The Sentinel itself sits in a full decor closed box with an imitation window that shows off the figure and contents as artwork. The Marvel Legends logo sits at the top left of the box, while the X-Men 97 logo is front and centre just under the faux-window and sitting above the name plate of ‘Marvel’s Sentinel’.  The right-hand side of the box carries another image of the Sentinel firing an energy beam. This image is headed with the X-Men 97 logo, with the Legends logo at the base. The opposite left side is a glorious montage of the X-Men 97 characters using artwork from the show. The back of the box shows the Sentinel figure posed in battle with several of the Marvel Legends X-Men 97 figures, including Rogue, Storm, Wolverine, and Cyclops. A full, and very retro style, checklist of the released characters to date sits at the base of the box reverse.  Inside our decorated box is a simple cardboard tray with an outer cover that can be lifted off and folded down. All of the Sentinel parts, and the figure itself, are in plastic bags and positioned in the tray. For our image here, we’ve removed the bags to show where everything fits (in truth, we were too eager to open it up). You can start to get a feel of the scale for the figure when you compare the box against a standard Marvel Legends release, such as Daredevil (our nearest box figure to hand) in the other image (above). The original HasLab Sentinel, announced in 2020 and released in 2021, stood 26 inches tall and featured electronic functionality. In contrast, this 2025 release of the X-Men 97 Sentinel is a touch over 22 inches in height and is devoid of lights. This makes it the fourth-tallest Legends release from Hasbro behind the original Sentinel, Giant Man and Galactus. One of the benefits of size is the ability to cast parts in the base colours, with much of the X-Men 97 Sentinel cast in either a Purple/Blue or in Pink/Red, replicating the look from the show, complete with exaggerated black lining around the neck and chest reactor. This reactor is a silver and grey circular piece that slots into the main torso. The head features the same Pink/Red armoured elements as a helmet with darker red painted rivets. The face is open to replicate the pink face of the Sentinel with black trim and markings around the mouth and eyes, with the eyes themselves picked out in red.  To mirror some of the battle scenes during Season 1 of X-Men 97, the Sentinel features three swap-out parts to give the figure a damaged look. The first of these is a damaged helmet top and a different damaged face plate. These are swapped by taking off the top of the helmet, then slotting out the face plate to reveal the blank Sentinel workings within. The damaged face plate slots in the slot, and the damaged helmet goes back on over the top. The face plate sees the sculpt expose the figure's left eye in a Terminator-esque finish and also adds damage to the mouth with visible cabling beneath. There is also damage added to the face and to the helmet, with the constructed materials visible underneath.  You can also change the central chest reactor, clicking off the working version to reveal the inner workings which are sculpted and painted and present an option of their own for display. The damaged version slots back in over the top and features scorching effects, and damage to the outer grill to expose the reactor within, and with two cables in red and yellow now snaking out.  The other accessories are blast effect pieces which are in three different parts and are designed to slot into sockets on the Sentinel’s palms. The blasts start with a lighter translucent yellow ‘splash’, into which a smaller orange ‘splash’ can be seated. The piece is completed with the ‘flame’ section in a translucent red. Using the three component parts means you can use all or some of the FX pieces to your own satisfaction, leaving out the outer or inner splashes and using the blast ‘flame’ only as the only piece that has the socket to slot into the hands.  The original HasLab Sentinel boasts 72 points of articulation. This Ultra Deluxe version has 50, which itself is impressive compared to a standard Marvel Legends figure. Much of the articulation is found in the hands with 3 joints per finger, so 15 on each hand and 30 in total. This allows the hands to close into fists, open to deploy the energy blasts, or be used to grip other figures. The remaining 20 points are across a more standardised level of articulation, with the legs featuring ankle rockers, jointed knees, a thigh swivel, and a hip joint. Similarly, the arms have a wrist joint, elbow joint, bicep swivel, and shoulder joint. The final articulation is found on the torso with a waist ball swivel, and a ball joint neck connecting to the head.  All the joints are robust and ratcheted to support such a massive figure in standing and across quite a wide range of poses, including dynamic battle stances, firing positions with the energy weapons, and even holding other Marvel Legends in the hands. It is in the hands that there is possibly a longer-term weakness, as the fingers are not ratcheted, and overuse may see these start to lose their grip. X-Men 97 figures not included You do have to accept that figure of this height and bulk is going to have restrictions in its movement, but it does what it intends to do and becomes a centrepiece for a Marvel Legends X-Men 97 display, posing beautifully with the X-Men swarming around it and fighting it as they do in the show. Yes, it is arguably a lot smaller than the ones we see on screen - but the size feels perfectly adequate, and any bigger would start to pose problems for display and storage in many people’s collections.  X-Men 97 figures not included (Bastion is a Custom Figure) The Marvel Legends Ultra Deluxe Sentinel was priced at £185.99 in the UK, but as mentioned earlier, this had to be pre-ordered back in October 2024, and payment was not taken until dispatch, giving collectors a year to save the money for this showpiece addition to their collection. The format is certainly a welcome interim position between the standard legends and their largest Deluxe and BAF releases, and the cost heavy invested HasLab’s with their usual bells and whistles. It will be interesting to see where this line heads next, with the subsequent release after the Sentinel and Dragon Man being a new Mephisto and Infernal Throne. Would this line support further 20-inch-sized figures, such as a Galactus or a Fin Fang Foom - and would the line ever be viable for an MCU release, again, such as Galactus or a properly sized giant Ant-Man? Mezco have announce a brand new One:12 Collective box set featuring all of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as seen in their 1990 movie. McFarlane have been running a number of new EQL Run Fair 'draws' for Platinum Series DC figures, giving collectors a chance to win an opportunity to purchase these hard-to-find chase figures. Hasbro had several new reveals to share with fans at the CCXP event in Brazil this week. There were two Star Wars Announcements, starting with the release of the Season 1 figure of The Mandalorian, as seen in the very first episode of Season 1 while picking up his bounty on the planet Pagodon. This figure will use the newer Mandalorian body with updated proportions and articulation. Included in the set are Mando's blaster, an alternative hand, and a knife. It is a standard box release and is number 45 in the Mandalorian Collection. It is a Target US Exclusive & Fan Channel here in the UK. It is an April 2026 release and is live for pre-ordering on the 5th of December.
