A new Star Wars Black Series 6 inch exclusive figure has been leaked via online retailer Daming Toys. Joining the Force Ghost of Obi-Wan Kenobi, is this Force Ghost of Master Yoda. The figure will be packed in the standard packaging, but with ghostly blue colouring rather than the usual red. The figure will be exclusive to Walmart in the US and has been floating around their stock system for a while. The figure is down for a November release in the US. We would guess the formal announcement should have been on Triple Force Friday. Daming Toys have since removed the listing.

We don't often see or make a fuss about packaging reveals for the Far East figures from Figuarts or MAFEX. But this image of the Medicom MAFEX Venom figure (#088) is quite impressive as it arrives in stores.

Mezco have reached the third and final release in their Trilogy of Batman One:12 collective releases. Each releases has realised Batman in a particular era - we have had his early years, the height of his power and now we are getting the Supreme Knight, the older Bruce Wayne toward the end of his time as the Caped Crusader. The figure will include the usual wealth of One:12 contents including multiple hand options. There are two masked and one unmasked head. And for weapons you can choose between various Batarangs, Grapling Gun and Graplings and the Equalizer Cannon. The Supreme Knight Batman is down to ship between February and April 2020 and is priced in the US at $85. You can preorder now via Mezco, including international shipping (circa £115 delivered with custom charges), or await UK pre-orders to open. Mezco’s One:12 Batman trilogy concludes with Batman: Supreme Knight. This is Batman towards the final years of his campaign against the underworld of Gotham City. Supreme Knight depicts an older Bruce Wayne who has learned his way and honed his skills. Now at the twilight of his war on crime, he uses his skill and tech to maintain his edge. Supreme Knight’s Bat-Suit provides additional armored protection enhancements to compensate for the wear and tear that his years of crime fighting have taken on him. Hasbro has released the full details of their exclusive Power Rangers Lightning Collection Psycho Blue Ranger - a figure teases by a couple of online stores earlier in the summer. The figure will be exclusive to Gamestop in the US and will then be distributed by the Fan Channel around the rest of the world. The In Space Psycho Blue Ranger features the Blue Ranger with his axe as well as an alternative pair of hands with FX piece. There is also a blast effect pack in that clips to the axe. The US can pre-order this now via Gamestop and Worldwide pre-orders via independent stockists are now going up. The figure is due for an October 2019 release. It’s Morphin Time! Over the past few years some of the hardest Marvel Legends to get hold of, outside of the US in particular, have been those included as part of the Marvel Unlimited Annual Subscription. Previous figures have included Rescue, Suited Tony Stark, Venom Punisher, Rocket, Captain Marvel and Ultron. The 2020 exclusive figure has been announced as a repainted Deadpool figure. This pink and black Deadpool uses the existing sculpt and he comes with the same Katana accessories. To obtain the figure you have to sign up for and pay $99 for a annual subscription to Marvel Unlimited. The offer is only open to US collectors.

Joining Drogon and Viserion, McFarlane complete the Game of Thrones Dragon trio with the announcement of Rhaegal who will be released in November 2019. "Along with his brothers Viserion and Drogon, Rhaegal was raised since birth by Daenerys Targaryen, and was named after Daenerys’ eldest brother Rhaegar. Rhaegal is distinguished by his green colored scales, and red-greed wings. Rhaegal would develop a bond with Jon Snow shortly before the battle of winterfell allowing him to mount him during the battle. The Select John Wick was originally due for Spring 2019, but has been delayed. Latest info has it for an August 2019 release - September onwards is more likely. If you are ever in the Glasgow area of Scotland, then you should aim to checkout one of the three A1 toy stores in the area. I visited both of their out of town shopping centre stores recently, the first at Braehead and the second at Silverburn. Both of these open until 9pm each weeknight and then between 6pm and 7pm at the weekends. Sadly I only had an evening free and was outside the opening times to visit their city centre store which closes at 6pm. A1 is a brilliant mix of traditional toy store (think Smyths/Entertainer) with a big selection of collector based material. For collectors product can be split across the three stores, with the Parnie Street store in Glasgow City Centre holding the widest range as it also acts as their online base. Across the two stores at Silverburn I found the latest (Smart Hulk) Marvel Legends wave, with older Legends going back through Captain Marvel and Spider-Man Far from Home. There were also figures from the Kingpin wave and even some older Mantis BAF figures. I also found the more recent Wolverine & Hulk box set, Captain America and Motorbike and the Magneto, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch Pack Star Wars Black Series included the Battle Droid wave, with older figures on reduction. They also had stocks of both of the Archive waves to date. The stores also had loads of Hot Wheels ships - many of which I hadn't seen before in the UK. The fourth set was based on the 2013 Iron-Man 3 movie and gave us our first MCU Pepper Potts. The Hall of Amour was extended a little further with the Mk22 "Hot Rod" and the previously unreleased Mandarin / Trevor Slattery figure got an airing. The set was exclusive to Amazon, but as of the summer of 2019 started to also show up at discount retailers in the UK. Packaging 5/5 The packaging for the First Ten Years MCU sets moves away from the usual scooped side Marvel Legend packaging and goes with a standard box. The colour scheme remains black, but with scenes from the MCU built into the backdrop. The predominant header is the MCU First 10 Years logo, with the Marvel Legends logo reduced in size and positioned top right. The figures are displayed in a window, which is bordered in red and carries the character names bottom left. The bottom of this border is broken with a circular icon of an Iron-Man mask. Beneath this and to the right sits the movie logo. The right hand side piece carries part of a larger art piece that connects with the other 9 sets to make a full montage. Like the box, this backing section carries a lot of MCU scenes from the First Ten Years, all taken from various movies and assembled like a comic book layout. Paint & Sculpt 3/5 While this box set is a 2018 release, the Hot Rod Iron-Man figure is based on an original Iron-Man 3 release from 2013 and has been seen a number of times over the past 5 years as the base for the Age of Ultron War-Machine and the Disco Iron-Man released around the time of Civil War. This is not a bad thing as the sculpt is a good one and of course Hot Rod was based on the War Machine armour anyway. The sculpt is chunky with well defined panels and joints. It is a touch smaller than the more recent Iron-Man figures, but not noticeably so on display. The paint job is adequate with a dull grey base colour that is glossy, but not overly metallic. Over this is painted some silver highlights which are neat. The next layer of the Hot Rod red is applied to look to be fading as it works up from the arms and feet. And the final layer is the yellow flame effect around the feet - this looks more like a decal than hand painting. the criticism of the figure goes back to its original Iron-Patriot / War-Machine base - the figure still has the two holes on the reverse for the shoulder cannon. As Hot Rod doesn't have this I'd have preferred to see these plugged rather than left in situ. Accessories N/A There are no accessories included for Hot Rod Iron-Man. It would have been great to see Hot Rod come with an alternative set of repulsor firing hands and a pair of those oft used Iron-Man repulsor FX pieces. Articulation 3/5 The articulation on Hot Rod is starting to show its age - so while we have 18 points of articulation in total, the knees are single jointed and the ankle rockers quite restricted Head - ball joint with pivot Body - mid-torso ball joint Arms - ball joint shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, pivot wrist Legs - ball joint hips, thigh swivel, single joint knee, ankle rocker Like Iron-Patriot, and War-Machine, and Disco Iron-Man this all adds up to a restricted set of posing. The arms come out nicely in shooting poses - although of course the figure only has fist hands, with no palm out repulsor firing options. The legs will stretch to wider stances, and you will have no issue getting Hot Rod to stay standing. Flying poses are restricted also with the lack of movement at the ankle to point the foot down. Summary With a wider range of Iron-Man armour options to choose from, Hasbro have chosen a visually impressive armour with Hot Rod - but one that saves cost as it uses an existing sculpt. The issue with this re-use is that it cheapens the set which has an RRP via Amazon in excess of what you'd pay for three new single figures. And Hasbro have not thrown in anything to sweeten the release such as extra hands or FX pieces. With more recent armoured figures showing what Hasbro can do with the articulation for an Iron-Man, this one does feel restricted and a tad disappointing. Taking into account the slightly undersized figure, lack of accessories and the restricted articulation - I score the Iron-Man Mk22 "Hot Rod" a just above average 3 out of 5. Like the box, this backing section carries a lot of MCU scenes from the First Ten Years, all taken from various movies and assembled like a comic book layout. Paint & Sculpt 2/5 Starting with the head, and the figure is a good likeness to Gwyneth Paltrow and uses the face print technology to add shading to the face - including blusher on the cheeks and eye liner round the eyes. The hair, an individual piece, flows well around the face and is sculpted to be a little unkempt. The body is not so good and is essentially a female body sculpt in a sports bra and leggings. The top torso is cast in skin tone and then has the top painted over the top. This paint app is neat apart from a couple of bleed lines around the straps. The lower torso and legs are cast in black plastic with the skin tone painted. This leads to a terrible line around the top of the leggings with the skin colour bleeding over the top of the leggings. The feet are bare and enormous and because these are cast in skin tone plastic they are a variant colour to the paint exposed ankles above. Accessories 3/5 Pepper is the only figure in the set to come with an accessory, an alternative right arm and an FX blast piece. The arm swaps out at the shoulder, and the finish of this armoured Iron-Man arm is much more impressive than the rest of the Pepper Potts body. The colouring is good with a deep red glossy finish and gold highlights. Where the arm meets the flesh of Pepper's shoulder there are sculpted wires painted in silver. The FX piece is the well used blast piece that often comes with Iron-Man releases. It is cast in translucent yellow and slots into a hole in the palm of the armoured arm. Articulation 2/5 Pepper, as a female Marvel Legends release, gets the reduced 16 points of articulation, and this goes up to 17 points when the Iron-Man arm is used as this has an extra bicep swivel as the elbow is double jointed. Head - ball joint with pivot Body - mid-torso ball joint Arms - ball joint shoulders, single rotating elbows, pivot wrist Iron-Man Arm - ball joint shoulder, bicep swivel, double jointed elbow, pivot wrist Legs - ball joint hips, thigh swivel, single joint knee, ankle rocker Pepper is a frustrating figure to pose, starting with getting her to stand. The ankle rockers seem to ratchet to either side of a flat foot pose which makes getting Pepper stood straight a real pain and she ends up either falling backwards or with her rear end stuck out extensively. The legs themselves are mobile with double jointed knees allowing for kneeling poses. The arms are then restricted with the single elbow joints, and even the more expansive Iron-Man arm with its extra joints can't stretch to a full firing pose and you end up with a weird half bent pose with the FX piece looking like Pepper has caught something explosive rather than is firing her Repulsors. Summary I love that Hasbro has been brave enough to give us a Pepper Potts - her debut in the MCU collection - rather than another Iron-Man or Rhodey figure. The execution of the head is awesome, but it has been placed on a body that has paint issues, proportional issues with the feet and is tricky to pose and stand. Even the added extra of the Iron-Man arm and FX piece adds to the frustration as it cant be extended out flat in a natural firing pose. Pepper Potts is the weakest figure of the set and I score her a less than average 2 out of 5. While she is not a complete write-off and with a bit of posing can sit well in a collection, I'd love to see Hasbro revisit the figure and give us a CEO Pepper or even an unmasked Rescue from Endgame. "Under the guide of the Mandarin, Trevor Slattery works under Extremis-propagator Aldrich Killian, taking credit for systematic attacks on global soils and hoping to provide from feeding both sides of the War on Terror." Like the box, this backing section carries a lot of MCU scenes from the First Ten Years, all taken from various movies and assembled like a comic book layout. Paint & Sculpt 5/5 It is worth stating before we kick of with the figure that this entire figure was sculpted in 2013 for a planned 3rd wave or Iron Man figures that would have also included a War Machine Mk2 and a comic-book Rescue Pepper Potts. 5 years later Hasbro has resurrected the sculpt for the First Ten Years Iron-Man 3 set. The Mandarin was worth the wait with the 2013 sculpt being absolutely spot on, but the more recent face print technology has allowed the figure to be enhanced even further. The likeness to Ben Kingsley is excellent, with those expressive eyes and wrinkled brow. The beard and hair are good with dry-brush details, with the only issue on the head a small blemish on my figure under the left eye. The costume replicates the movie well with upper robes contrasted by combat trousers with a camouflage pattern. Over this is the large overcoat / robe with its gold highlights. There is a ton of detail on this robe with circular sculpted detail on the arms and ornate eastern style scroll-work on the cuffs. All of this is well painted and the colours bright and crisp. Even the hands are adorned with rings, each painted neatly in a gold/bronze colouring. Accessories N/A The Mandarin does not come with any accessories. This is a shame as the original 2013 release was pictured with a sword and a combat knife. An alternative head with sunglasses would have also been a nice inclusion to give The Mandarin two distinct looks. Articulation 3/5 Being an older figure the Mandarin has a reduced level of articulation vs more modern figures. The cloak makes any leg poses redundant as the Mandarin cannot sit or kneel. The arms are held back by the single elbow joints but with a bit of work there are some expressive poses you can achieve to make your Mandarin looking like he is delivering another lesson. Summary The Trevor Slattery Mandarin was not the best received character of the MCU, although the portrayal and twist on his role was very much of the era. The figure does capture the menace and intensity of the Mandarin we see in his videos in the first half of the film and it is a great addition to an MCU collection, and is arguably the strongest figure in this 3-pack. While there are no accessories and the articulation is limited the figure deserves a 4 out of 5 score.
