Gamestop in the US have just listed two brand new Star Wars Black Series figures in a new segment on their website called "Gaming Greats". First is the Redeemed Jedi Revan, a re-use of the Darth Revan sculpt with updated colour scheme and soft goods. Jedi Revan is drawn from the gameplay of Biowares Knights of the Old Republic, but the release is essentially drawn from EA's Galaxy of Heroes game where he is a playable character. I love the box design and colouring for this one - it looks brilliant. Hopefully the purple repeats on the right spine. After a month or so of waiting, the Exclusive Carbonized First Order Jet Trooper has landed at Smyths Toys where it is a UK exclusive. Pre-orders made just after Triple Force Friday are being fulfilled, and stock is available online and in the majority of stores now for purchase at the £24.99 price point. The Star Wars section in Smyths is still not particularly big and is found on the Action Toys aisle, usually after Transformers and Jurassic World - but not all Smyths are laid out the same. There was no sign in the Smyths we went to (Bolton, Lancs) of the other figures from the Triple Force Friday Black Series wave. Happy Hunting! McFarlane have released the product page for Alduin, the World Eater Dragon from The Elder Scrolls V. Alduin will have a 15 inch wing span and will be similarly scaled as the Game of Thrones dragons and like them will include a flight base. The figure is due for a Spring 2020 release. Alduin, the World Eater is a dragon and the primary antagonist of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim®‘s Main Quest. He is considered the “wellspring” of the Nordic pantheon, as well as the harbinger of the apocalypse. It seems fairly common practice now for McFarlane to tweak one of their new releases to create an exclusive variant for stores in the US. We have seen it most recently with Mortal Kombat at Gamestop, and now McFarlane have announced they will be doing it with their new Doomslayer figure from Doom! exclusive to Walgreen stores. The figure uses the basic Doom Slayer sculpt but it is repainted to a bronze colour scheme and includes a Supershotgun and an extended arm blade. The figure is due release in November 2019 into Walgreens. The Doom Slayer (also known by the UAC as DM1-5, DOOM Marine or The Slayer, the Demons of Hell as the Doom Slayer, the Unchained Predator, the Hell Walker or to the fandom DOOM Guy) has been the main protagonist for most the series and playable character in Doom franchise and in the upcom-ing Doom Eternal. His origin is intentionally vague, but he wears his iconic green Space Marine armor and slaughters through countless demons and monsters on a perpetual war against hell. Happy #SatTOYday After the excitement of Force Friday and then New York Comic Con, the last couple of weeks saw a number of high profile European Conventions, with Hasbro touring each of them to reveal new products in their Star Wars, Marvel and Power Rangers Lines. We wrap up all the announcements in Issue 106. We also look at the the Figure news from elsewhere, including more Black Series reveals via Gamestop in a new Gaming Greats line. There is new Marvel & DC Mezco One:12 reveals, while McFarlane continues to delight with their 7 inch Fortnite line. It looks like another Marvel Select MCU Disney Store Exclusive is incoming from Diamond. This Far from Home Spider-Man was found in Disney Store Liverpool by Joe A on the Marvel Select Facebook Group. The figure looks to be a new sculpt of the updated suit and comes (oddly) with a Union flag?

Character Options have released details of their Amazon Exclusive Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver 6 pack as well as a promotional video of the set. The pack, which retails at £69.99, contains electronic 1:1 role-play Sonic Screwdrivers for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th/8th, 10th and 11th Doctors. Soap Studios have released promotional images and full details of their 1/12 scale figures from the Potterverse, specifically Fantastic Beasts, Crimes of Grindelwald. We had seen Newt Scamander at a few conventions, but I was surprised that we are also getting a young Albus Dumbledore also. The Soap Studio figures are in a similar vein to the Mezco One:12 figures, with soft goods tailored clothing over a highly articualted sculped body and head. Newt comes with his wand and some effect pieces to go with it. We also get his suitcase as well as both Niffler and a Bowtruckle. A wealth of extra hands are included to hold the various accessories. Albus Dumbledore includes his Business Card and wand. There are four baby Nifflers also included. Dumbledore's hat is removable, as is his coat and blazer. Both figures come with a stand and a scene backing card for display. They are due for release in January 2020

Pre-orders have started going up for the new Star Wars Black Series figures for 2020 announced over the last couple of weeks. It has given some clarity on wave make-up and it is not quite what we might have thought. Wave 2 of Rise of Skywalker (wave 23) was already confirmed, but the case pack of 8 figures will be filled out with two Yavin Luke's and repacks of Rise of Skywalker Rey and the Sith Trooper. In 2020, the first wave will be wave 3 (wave 24) in March. So far we know this will include the next Rise of Skywalker figures of Zorii Bliss and The Knight of Ren. Surprisingly Dooku will also be included in this wave. There are more figures in this wave yet to be revealed! Yakface.com report that a very early Entertainment Earth listing included a Clone Commander Bly and a Sith Jet Trooper in the wave listing. Wave 4 (wave 25) will then follow in May. This is the Attack of the Clones wave and includes Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, The Geonosis Battle Droid, AOTC Obi-Wan and AOTC Anakin. The 8 figure case will include two figures of Plo Koon, Anakin and the Battle Droid - the latter thankfully being double packed considering the army build opportunity.

As we head to the last few days of the NECA / Lootcrate Spirit of Splinter figure, NECA have released new images and details for the release. Now under the same umbrella of companies, NECA are utilising Lootcrate to crowdfund projects that would not be initially viable as a general release. The first of these are a Spirit of Splinter figure for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle 7 inch line, as well as a new Gremlin figure with a selection of outfits. The Splinter set will come with a light up flickering camp fire, a marshmallow bag and marshmallow sticks. The set will also include a T-Shirt, but the design of this has not been unveiled. For UK collectors, backing Splinter will cost you the $49.99 backing price and a further $10 in postage/packing. That is about £49 converted. Lootcrate will also be subject to UK import taxes so expect to add around another £15 (estimated) on top for the import costs and admin fees.

NECA's next Godzilla figure will come from the 1964 Godzilla Movie, Mothra vs Godzilla. The figure measures 12 inch head to tail and is fully articulated including the tail. He will be packed in the new Window Box style packaging and should arrive around November 2019. It seems we may have more Godzilla announcements to come with other boxes on display at SDCC 2019 for the 1954 and 1985 Godzilla's. It is likely these will be repacks of figures in the new packaging rather than newly sculpted figures?
