Hee is the first image of the Ghostbusters Collectors line from Hasbro via Ghostbusters News on Twitter. The display shows 7 figures in total - the original four Ghostbusters, a Terror Dog, Dana and Gozer. The packaging looks fantastic, particularly the figure name plates recreating the ones from the Ghostbusters uniform. We even have a retro line of Real Ghostbusters to look forward to. Having picked up the licence in 2019, Hasbro have finally shown us some of their new Ghostbusters merchandise planned for 2020. Now these are a basic line of figures, with more accurate Collectors figures incoming, but it is great to see that Hasbro are bringing original 1984 characters to the line and not just focusing on the new 2020 movie. Each figure comes with a mini ghost, and considering there are images of Peter and Winston with different ghosts this could indicate the ghosts may be a blind bag feature? I would hope that the Hasbro team have Egon and Ray planned to round out the original team. The mini ghosts themselves include a Devil Dog and a Slimer, and all of them appear to have some hinged opening feature. The figures look to be sized around 5 or 6 inch, a similar scale to the current Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures line and most likely at a similar £10 price point. Mattel have released a huge set of images for brand new Dinosaurs that will be joining their Jurassic World line in 2020. The new releases include some product from Camp Cretaceous, the brand new Netflix show coming later this year. As usual the figures are split into types such as the smaller Attack Pack £10 dinos, the larger massive biters and savage strikes and the sound strike Dinosaurs with built in sound FX. There is even a new Super Colossal Indominus Rex to face off against last years Super Colossal T-Rex. The new 7 inch scale McFarlane Multiverse line of DC Action Figures will be moving into the DC movie universe with new figures of Wonder Woman from her upcoming 2020 movie Wonder Woman 1984. Up first is Wonder Woman in her Golden Armour. This figure includes detachable wings and the usual display stand. The figure is scheduled for a release at the end of May 2020. Within the various press packs circulating from Hasbro ahead of Toy Fair is this image of another deluxe packed Hulk Marvel Legends figure. This one is Red Hulk, and he will be heading to Target as a US Exclusive - with availability via the fan channel elsewhere in the world. Hasbro have shared images of a brand new Marvel Legends release, with pre-orders going up at most stockists soon after. Monster Venom will be heading into stores in March 2020. This is another former BAF repacked in the new Deluxe box set, similar to how the MCU Giantman was treated at the back end of 2019. The McFarlane team have shared with us a press release about their brand new Spawn action figure, part of their ongoing Mortal Kombat 7 inch action figure line. The new Spawn figure will feature 22 points of articulation and will come with his sword and a display base. The figure is based on Spawn's guest appearance in the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 game as part of a DLC pack. The figure will arrive in stores around the same time as the new game in March 2020. Toy Fair 2020 is nearly upon us.... To clarify what to expect from us and our news feed... We are not at the show, I am based in the UK and therefore my coverage would be a remote one collating the key announcements and sharing the news and press releases and providing commentary and images of the key releases. There will be lots of news landing at once, so news will go out as fast as I can but articles are likely to run well into the middle of next week. Once the initial news articles are finished I will summarise all the key announcements in a SatTOYday special roundup (maybe in more than one part). The Toy Fair weekend is one of my favourites as I love hearing what you think about the various announcements and which you are looking forward to. Ahead of the start of New York Toy Fair 2020 on Saturday, Hasbro's PR company have shared the details of a range of new Star Wars products with us - in particular merchandise for The Mandalorian and the upcoming final season of The Clone Wars. The new merchandise includes an electronic role play Darksaber as well as games based on The Mandalorian - Operation "Baby Yoda" and Trouble : The Mandalorian Edition. Action Figure reveals at this stage are for the 5 inch Galaxy of Adventures line with new figures of Ahsoka Tano and a 501st Clone Trooper from the upcoming Clone Wars final season. I have been an admirer of the Jazwares Fortnite 6 inch action figures from a far, and now the Jazwares team are about to launch a fantastic new line of 6 inch figures from the AEW (All Elite Wrestling) stable. The new figures are actually a collaboration between Jazwares and one of their subsidiaries, Wicked Cool Toys - who are the team behind a new Halo line of figures. It will be called the Unrivaled collection and the figures are listed as having 25 points of articulation, with multiple waves planned. "Jazwares, a global leader in play, and All Elite Wrestling (AEW), the new professional wrestling league that is taking America by storm, are tag-teaming on AEW's first line of action figures and role play collectibles. Featuring AEW World Champion Chris Jericho, Cody, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley and more, the new AEW UNRIVALED line will be on display at Jazwares' booth at Toy Fair New York on Feb. 22-26, and will hit retail later this year." The line will launch with at least 6 figures. Up first is the Young Bucks Tag Team, which I assume will be a two pack release. They will be joined by Kenny Omega (including ring entry attire), Cody Rhodes, Brandi Rhodes and (because they need a bad guy to face off against) the AEW champion Chris Jericho. The press release also mentioned a John Moxley figure, but no images have been shared of him yet. Accessories are included in some figures it seems with Cody having a sledgehammer and Jericho coming with a microphone and the AEW belt. It seems we also have two ring sets to look forward to. They look similar, but one is certainly better scaled and comes with ring steps than the other. We will find out more at Toy Fair 2020, but it was great to see these figures presented to each of the AEW wrestlers on AEW Dynamite. Mezco have shared another tease ahead of Toy Fair 2020, an image of a masked Predatror action figure in their One:12 Collective 6 inch line. Other recent teases have been fully announced a couple of days after the tease, so we may find out full details before the start of New York Toy Fair on Saturday. Watch this space

The Offworld Jawa was a relatively surprise inclusion in Wave 22 of the Star Wars Black Series, a wave that was released on Triple Force Friday to celebrate upcoming Star Wars properties - The Rise of Skywalker, The Mandalorian and Jedi : Fallen Order. The Jawa turned out to be the 2nd of the Mandalorian figures included as they would feature in the second episode "The Child". Packaging 4/5 The Offworld Jawa is number 96 in the 3rd phase of Black Series releases, and arrives in the usual black box with red side spine and figure backdrop. There is no reference to The Mandalorian on the package. The Gregory Titus artwork depicts a Jawa with their glowing eyes from beneath the hood. The back of the box carries a larger image of this illustration and a short piece of text which actually gives us some more details on how the Jawa's from The Mandalorian left Tatooine and made their way to Arvala-7. "Ships travelling to and from Tatooine have resulted in some Jawas leaving their desert home-world. Those that do arrive on new planets continue their old habits in their new surroundings, but their obsessive need for technology still drives them." Paint & Sculpt 3/5 The Offworld Jawa utilises the existing Jawa sculpt with soft goods robes now applied over the body. To do this the Hasbro team have retained the existing hood and sleeve sculpt and added the robe over the body - losing the skirt section from the original figure. The ammo straps remain in place as does the Shock Blaster and hose section. The addition of the soft goods in grey does make the Jawa look bulkier and also will help articulation of the lower legs. The paint applied is neat from the eyes - now red and not yellow - to the weathered leather brown of the ammo pouches. Like a lot of soft goods, they do lack a realism at 1/12 scale and can sit quite flat rather than fold and flow like real robes. Considering the team could have got away with repainting the existing Jawa in grey the soft goods are an interesting choice to differentiate the figure and I wonder if a soft goods original Tatooine Jawa is also in the works? Accessories 2/5 The Offworld Jawa is armed the same as the original Tatooine Jawa with the shock blaster attached to the figure and a second Ion blaster weapon also included. The shock blaster is cast in black with brown painted stock and weapon body. A flexible tube snakes from the gun to a pack on the Jawa's belt, meaning the weapon is permanently fixed to the figure. Holding the weapon is tough with the Jawa's small hands and the shape of the barrel but it can be done, just not in a firing position. This was an issue on the original Jawa and one Hasbro have not fixed for this new release. When not in use the Shock Blaster can be slotted into a holster on the belt. The Ion blaster is cast in dark plastic with a rusty brass paint job over most of it, leaving it looking worn and weathered. It too can't be held in the traditional manner and is left with the Jawa sort of holding it from above and out to the side rather than in a firing pose. While these accessories ar "ok" and consistent with what we see on screen, an opportunity has been missed here by not including something new and relevant to the episode such as The Egg? Articulation 3/5 Despite the small frame, the Jawa still includes 16 points of articulation in total. Head : ball joint neck Body : waist ball joint Arms : ball joint shoulders, single joint rotating elbow, wrist pivot Legs : ball joint hips, thigh swivel, single joint rotating knees, ankle rockers While on paper this is positive, the joints themselves are quite restricted. The head barely moves due to the shape of the hood, and the arms too are not very mobile with the width of the sculpted sleeve beneath the soft goods. We also know the hands are not big enough or mobile enough to hold a weapon. The legs should be more maneuverable thanks to the removal of the sculpted skirt and replacement with soft goods. Unfortunately the legs joints are not upgraded and with only a single joint knee that barely bends, there is no real advantage of the soft goods in posing. Summary The Offworld Jawa is an odd choice to fill in the 2nd slot for The Mandalorian in Wave 22, and there are many other choices that would have been preferable such as Kuill or even IG-11 (who went on to be an exclusive). The figure is a rehash of the existing Jawa with soft goods the only real update aside from the new paint job. This means issues with arm articulation and the ability to hold his weapons are still present, and with no upgrade to the leg articulation the soft goods add no real value in posing. He is however a very good looking figure with a bit of work, and will look better in groups if you want to go down the route of army building these. The Offworld Jawa scores a just above average 3 out of 5.
