I have been an admirer of the Jazwares Fortnite 6 inch action figures from a far, and now the Jazwares team are about to launch a fantastic new line of 6 inch figures from the AEW (All Elite Wrestling) stable.
The new figures are actually a collaboration between Jazwares and one of their subsidiaries, Wicked Cool Toys - who are the team behind a new Halo line of figures. It will be called the Unrivaled collection and the figures are listed as having 25 points of articulation, with multiple waves planned.
"Jazwares, a global leader in play, and All Elite Wrestling (AEW), the new professional wrestling league that is taking America by storm, are tag-teaming on AEW's first line of action figures and role play collectibles. Featuring AEW World Champion Chris Jericho, Cody, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley and more, the new AEW UNRIVALED line will be on display at Jazwares' booth at Toy Fair New York on Feb. 22-26, and will hit retail later this year."
The line will launch with at least 6 figures. Up first is the Young Bucks Tag Team, which I assume will be a two pack release. They will be joined by Kenny Omega (including ring entry attire), Cody Rhodes, Brandi Rhodes and (because they need a bad guy to face off against) the AEW champion Chris Jericho. The press release also mentioned a John Moxley figure, but no images have been shared of him yet.
Accessories are included in some figures it seems with Cody having a sledgehammer and Jericho coming with a microphone and the AEW belt.
It seems we also have two ring sets to look forward to. They look similar, but one is certainly better scaled and comes with ring steps than the other.
We will find out more at Toy Fair 2020, but it was great to see these figures presented to each of the AEW wrestlers on AEW Dynamite.
