Mattel and Entertainment Earth have revealed a brand new WWE Elite figure of Mr-T, originally planned as an SDCC 2020 exclusive and now released via Entertainment Earth. The figure is based on Mr. T's Wrestlemania appearance as Hulk Hogan's Tag Partner and features sculpted wrestling attire and soft goods camouflage jacket with belt. Mr. T's iconic gold chains are included as an individual piece to sit round his neck. He comes in a special presentation box, but there will no longer be any mention of SDCC or the replacement Comic Con at Home on the packaging. Said packaging includes an outer sleeve with an image of Mr. T, the classic WWE logo and the Elite Series icon. Within this is a red box decorated with Mr. T's bling, and this opens to reveal the figure within. The Second Doctor and TARDIS set is part of the Summer 2020 Doctor Who Sets produced by Character Options and exclusive to B&M stores in the UK. The set is based on the 2nd Doctor's final adventure, The War Games, from 1969. My review copy was provided ahead of the official release by Character Options via their PR Company Packaging 4/5 Our 2020 Second Doctor set remains packaged in the blue and silver wrapped window box we have seen on the previous TARDIS sets from 2020 and as established in 2019. The Doctor and TARDIS can be viewed through the large window that wraps most of the left hand spine. The window is trimmed in a thin yellow band with the modern Who logo at the top in silver and the sets name across the bottom rail. There is a red insert just above this name place quoting the set as "Exclusive" as opposed to the silver stickers we've seen on other sets in the B&M line. The circular insert top right confirms this as that 5.5 inch scale. The right spine carries an image of the Doctor and TARDIS with a repeat of the Who logo, 5.5 inch circular info flash, the red exclusive flash and the sets full name. All of this is repeated again on the back alongside a very lengthy piece of background text which pretty much covers the full story of The War Games, rather than providing a taster or synopsis. THE SECOND DOCTOR & TARDIS FROM 'THE WAR GAMES' (1969) written by Terrance Dicks and Malcolm Hulke On an alien planet, the Doctor uncovers a diabolical plot to conquer the galaxy with soldiers abducted from different periods in Earth's history. They are forced to fight in simulated environments, reflecting the time periods from which they were taken. The aliens' aim is to produce a super army from the survivors; to this end, they have been aided by a renegade from the Doctor's own race of the Time Lords, calling himself the War Chief. Joining forces with rebel soldiers, the Doctor and his companions Jamie and Zoe foile the plan and end the fighting. The War Chief is defeated but the Doctor begrudgingly admits he needs the help of the Time Lords to return all the soldiers to their correct times. After sending a message to the Time Lords he and his companions attempt to evade capture, but are caught and the Time Lords place the War Chief on trial and dematerialise him. They erase Zoe and Jamie's memories of travelling with the Doctor, and return them to their respective point n time when each of them first entered the TARDIS. They then place the Doctor on trial for stealing the TARDIS and breaking the rule of non-interference. The Doctor presents a spirited defence, citing his many battles against the evils of the universe. Accepting this defence, the Time Lords announce that his punishment is exile to Earth and a forced regeneration into a new man. The top of the box see's more repeating of the character name and 5.5 inch scale, while the bottom of the box carries most of the generic warnings alongside the confirmation this is a non electronic TARDIS. There is also a short insert on how to open and close the TARDIS doors. The set is opened via top or bottom flap and the whole contents slide out initially as one piece. You will need to unscrew the TARDIS from the clip on the base. This was hard work this time round and I am still unsure why this is needed. The Doctor, in his inner tray, is released by un-taping the tab that sticks through the cardboard backing. The Doctor is held in by two elasticated ties which are best cut with scissors as they can rub the paint if stretched to snap. I am pleased to see that big strip disappear from the TARDIS doors. This is replaced by four pieces of tape. With the figures and trays removed, the backdrop is that of an interior scene from the War Games. It is less detailed than previous releases like the Shada library scene, but very bright and colourful.The coloured aspect of it makes it less recognisable as The War Games serial was of course in Black and White. While this backdrop works well in the box, once removed it has exposed brown cardboard around the top, side and back and is taped roughly together. To make any kind of diorama or backdrop piece would take some work. Paint & Sculpt 4/5 The 2nd Doctor figure is one of the strongest sculpts in the line with a great likeness to the late, great Patrick Troughton. The Troughton head is quite serious in its look, which is not fully reflective of his character, but fits in this scenario in terms of what happens during The War Games. The face is hand painted and the skin is a single tone with the eyes, eyebrows and mouth painted. The costume is cast in its base colours with paint details added. The shirt is white with the spotted blue bow-tie painted, and this does result in some blue staining of the collar behind. The handkerchief in the pocked is painted red and the whole jacket is weathered by means of some mud brown dry-brushing. The trousers are checked and the rip in his right knee, as seen in the story, is recreated albeit as a painted piece and not a physical adjustment to the sculpt. The rip to the jacket we also see in the story is not replicated. We got our first Second Doctor figure in 2009 and this is the exact same sculpt used for every 2nd Doctor since, including this one. The painting of the head does create a variant look with the 2020 release a little more tanned in the face and with more definition thanks to the painted mouth. The TARDIS is taken from the existing TARDIS mold, but with a brand new light piece created for the Second Doctor's era. The piece is cast in a very grey blue colouring and that is quite clever in that this TARDIS will work as a colour TARDIS with the 2nd Doctor it comes with - or equally as well as a Black & White TARDIS with the Black & White 2nd Doctor figure. The various notices are applied neatly as decals and are fully legible. The front top rail is not as bright as it is illustrated on the box, or in the original promo images - so looks to be a change in production. It is sill presented in a different base colour than the other three sides. The colouring variances to previously releases can be seen here against the original classic TARDIS colours from 2010 to the much brighter blue with weathering we've seen with the recent Third Doctor sets. Being a direct re-use, these B&M sets still have remnants of the old electronic TARDIS parts such as the speaker on the reverse and a now sealed up battery cover. While the packaging does state non-electronic - it only does so in small writing on the base and there will be people who buy this and seeing the speakers and interior parts would be wondering why it makes no sound? Accessories N/A There are no accessories included in the set, this is the usual format of the B&M sets. It would however have been nice to get the Second Doctors flute as an inclusion. Articulation 3/5 The Doctor has the same basic 14 points of articulation as most of the Doctor Who line. This has remained consistent over the last 14 years with little variation and in a way it is good that Character are not deviating from this to allow the line to remain uniform - a release in 2020 looks perfectly contemporary to a release from 2006. Head : neck post swivel Body : waist post swivel Arms : shoulder post swivel, bicep swivel, jointed elbow, peg wrist Legs : T-Joint hips, thigh swivel, jointed knee The Second Doctor does suffer from quite a stiff neck this time round, but otherwise all the joints work fine. The arms are the most mobile with bends at the elbow and rotation at the bicep to aid some gesturing. The legs are a little trickier being hemmed in by the tails of the coat but do work for some wider stances. The Second Doctor has always suffered a little from being unbalanced when fully stood straight - this is the same on this 2020 version and you will likely need to lean him forward a little when standing. The TARDIS articulation is purely in the doors. These use the same clip and release as we've seen on all TARDIS sets. The right door opens first and clips in place followed by the left. You close the left by pulling it shut then use the floor button to spring back the right hand side. Our copy was quite sensitive on the right hand side and has a tendency to flip back when I didn't want it too. As you can see there is no insert or backdrop when you open the doors. A neat cardboard piece with the Second Doctor era console room would have looked great? Summary The Second Doctor era is very under represented in the Character Options line, and this is the first time a Troughton era TARDIS has been released. The figure looks fine with some added paint weathering and damage to represent the Doctor's appearance at the end of The War Games. The TARDIS is notably different from any that we've had before, and cleverly works as either a colour or black and white TARDIS. At the time of writing this review the price of these sets had not been confirmed, and is assumed to be £19.99. That presents good value for money considering you get a figure and a full scale TARDIS included. I score the Second Doctor and TARDIS set from The War Games a well above average 4 out of 5. "What's in the box!" It is with great pleasure that I received the newly announced Marvel Legends Premium Interactive Deadpool Head from Hasbro UK in advance of its August release. Deadpool arrives in a head size box as you would expect, and the detail on the box is really fun when you start to explore. On opening my outer package I thought I had been forwarded the packaging and the sender had left on, and re-used, the old address label (very eBay). In actual fact this is part of the packaging with Wade's address overwritten in red with an address for Chuck - a nod to the character (Chuckles) who resided at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. The front of the box features a full image of the Deadpool head against the gloss black we'd expect from Marvel Legends packaging. This is designed to look like it has been torn out and stuck to the box, and it is actually stands out from the box as do the replica tape pieces holding it in place. The side of this image breaks down the features of the set including 600 lines of dialogue Expressive movement App-enhanced The box front is suitably decorated in Wade's doodling including Deadpool riding a Unicorn alongside various images of Deadpool's head in different locations. There is even a tiny Headpool hiding up top. Other details on the box front include the "Body not included" speech bubble - and quite a large 18+ warning with the subtitle "not for kids" The back of the box follows a similar theme with another panel that looks and feels like it has been torn from Marvel Legends black gloss packaging. This is a side on view of the head with some more doodling, notably a taco. To the side of this is a strip of photos of the head that have been printed like a photobooth strip and stapled into place (the staples are not real). One side of the box is dedicated to the App that supports the head with three screenshots of the app. Above this is some indication of the fun the app will bring "CONNECT FOR: JOKES, PRANKS, AND INSULTS!" The other side of the box has a load more photo booth photos of the head with fake staples and some more Wade-esque speech bubbles. Stripping back all the stickers and tape, the box base design is done to look like a box from a fictional business called "subby's fish tacos". The head can be accessed via the top ad bottom flaps of the box. In hindsight the bottom may be easier even though the top flap tells you to "open this end". The head sits sideways in the box with a cardboard sleeve shaped around it to hold it in place. Instructions and Safety documentation sits loose on the top. When you move out the top insert the full head is revealed, but it doesn't come out easily as yet. What you can't quite see is another tray at the bottom which is clipped to the head's base by means of three clips. My chubby fingers couldn't get a purchase on this lower tray so I ended up turning it upside down and letting gravity do its part. Opening from the bottom would allow you to release these clips first. Out of the box you are presented by a genuine 1:1 scale Deadpool head. It is also a full fabric mesh mask and cloth eyepieces - there is even the left over material at the back where it flaps over. You can see and feel the defined features under the cloth mask with the chin, nose, eyes and ears. The base section is plastic but is coloured and shaped as faux leather to recreate the collar of Deadpool's outfit. The whole piece is relative weighty. Deadpool without his body obviously needs a power source, and Deadpool takes 4 x C batteries. These are not included. You access the battery compartment at the base by removing two screws. With batteries inserted it is time to turn Deadpool on (pun intended). There is a slide switch next to a red button - and once slid to on, Deadpool will come to life. If this is the first time you activate Deadpool then he will give you some backstory about how he lost his body as well as asking your name. There is no speech recognition built in, so whatever you respond Deadpool will hear "Bob" and will call you (and everyone else) Bob. The voice is of course not Ryan Reynolds, but after a few lines of dialogue that is soon forgotton and the delivery of the lines is very "Deadpool". There is some background noise from the motors which can be a bit annoying - dampening the surface he sits on will help by means of some kind of fabric or a rubber mat of sorts. The motors are placed to give his neck full movement both side to side and up and down. Further movement is built in to the mouth under the hood, and the eyes which can open and close as well as move independently for winking - the eyebrows can also move up and down. The head works on three types of sensors - movement, light and sound. While Deadpool will talk for awhile, without any of these stimulus he will go on standby. Starting with light, Deadpool recognises dark and light and if you put him in the dark he will activate "night mode" and start to go to sleep, when the light comes back on he wakes up. Sound sensors can be as simple as you voice talking to him - although his responses are purely random, but often hilarious. Detecting movement seems to be across a number of sensors. He will recognise if you tap his head or move him in anyway on a surface. He also has a button that releases on the base when you pick him up - this will result in conversation around him being carried or lifted. There is then some form of gyroscope that understands which way up he is. This apparently can trigger a skit about kissing a superhero upside down in the rain, but I've not had that one yet. Here is some video footage of the head and some of the general phrases he can throw at you... The accompanying free App allows more control over the head. I could not find it on Google Play Store, but if you go to apps.hasbro.com you will find a link to the Google or iPhone versions. It connects via Bluetooth and requires you to press the red button on Deadpools base to connect. Once linked you now have control over the head with three menus to choose from. Make me say $***... is exactly that. It has a breakdown of items from Greetings, Goodbyes to Insults and Jokes. Pressing each one will activate a phrase from Deadpool's phrase bank in that category. It allows you to sit with your phone and throw out Jokes or Insults at anyone passing your Deadpool head. "The make me say" option also includes a record feature. This uses your phone camera, there is nothing built into Deadpool. You can then create a video by controlling what Deadpool says, and once done there are a usual suite of social media sharing options. May me do $***... is not as defined. It includes some prank options such as putting Deadpool in a Fridge or a Bathroom prank. Each prank uses a detection type and a reaction - so the Fridge Prank activates when you open the fridge, or the Bedroom Brank when the person sleeping wakes up and Deadpool detects movement. You can even setup a custom prank to make Deadpool do say a particular category when he detects either sound, movement or light. Other options in here include Party Mode which activates speech associated with a Party, or Night mode which starts things like Bedtime stories. The final option is More $***.... this has a "do not press" option, an alarm clock and Weapons X. The Weapons give you the choice of playing card, shurikens or a taco. You can then use your finger to throw these at Deadpool via the screen. The alarm clock is just that, but is apparently only accurate 1 times out of 5 so not one to rely on for work. The "do not press" takes you to a big red button and Deadpool reacts to this with some text around what the button does and reacts again as you press it. This longer video will go through each of the main features of the App and shows examples of dialogue and movement from each segment I will finish by saying that the 18+ rating Hasbro has put on this is possibly over cautious. While some of the lines allude to adult themes, I have not heard any profanity as yet - in fact there are lines of dialogue with the swearing bleeped out. With that in mind I let my son play with it for a bit, and he loved it - though he was initially treating it like an Alexa and asking it questions, perhaps that is the next evolution of items like this. For San Diego Comic Con 2019, Hasbro took their recently announced MCU Grandmaster Marvel Legends figure and combined him in a special 2-pack with a brand new figure of his cosmic counterpart, The Collector. The set was sold at SDCC 2019, but was also globally available through the fan channel and specialist retailers. Checkout the corresponding Grandmaster review here Packaging 4/5 As an SDCC exclusive, the packaging on this set is outside the usual formats for Marvel Legends - it is also big and bold in terms of its design and shape. The piece is designed as a circular box with each figure displayed in a curved window on either half. Above each window is the Legends logo and beneath it the movie logo for the figure - Guardians of the Galaxy for The Collector and Thor Ragnarok for The Grandmaster. Being of such a size, and with the shape, the box is prone to damage and there is also quite a lot of tape visible where it has been used to keep the top and bottom flaps secure. The set then opens up by means of Velcro fasteners. This allows the two window segments to be displayed side by side and we now have a reverse for the box. This back segment includes features we had seen on The First Ten Years sets, with a movie poster replicated and under this a short piece of text for each figure. The Collector text reads as follows. "Taneleer Tivan, the Collector, is obsessed with collecting objects from across the galaxy. He adds to his collection by any means necessary, not above resorting to immoral or illegal dealings. As part of his acquisitions, the Collector came into possession of everal Infinity Stones, making his collection a target for those who would seek their power." The box opens from the top or bottom flaps of each semicircular panel. The figures slide out in a full cardboard inner piece with the figure secured into a clear plastic section that sits in front of a scenery inspired card backing. Sadly the rest of this inner piece is plain brown cardboard and not easy to display well outside of the box. The Collector's backing piece is his collection room on Knowher. A 3D effect is created by having the case of Cosmo the dog as a separate cardboard cut out piece that sits further out than the rest of the backing card. Paint & Sculpt 3/5 The Collector comes with two head sculpts, both are stunning and an exceptional likeness to Benicio del Toro in his on screen makeup. The face print really sets off the fantastic sculpt with very intense eyes that are darkened around the sockets. As was the case with the Grandmaster, the hair piece looks to be separate and that does present a slightly visible line. The second head has the Collector wearing his goggles and these are also well executed and then painted in silver and weathered with a darker black wash. I suspect both heads are identical under the glasses. The top half of the Collectors outfit is impressive with a segmented black and red jacket with silver fasteners and zips. A detailed chain hangs across his midriff, well painted in gold and with red and blue jewels. The left arm is done in a grey animal print design and this is meant to be part of the cloak that hangs around his shoulders - with the decor matching the interior of the cloak. The cloak itself plugs into the back of the figure The top half of the Collectors outfit is impressive with a segmented black and red jacket with silver fasteners and zips. A detailed chain hangs across his midriff, well painted in gold and with red and blue jewels. The left arm is done in a grey animal print design and this is meant to be part of the cloak that hangs around his shoulders - with the decor matching the interior of the cloak. The cloak itself plugs into the back of the figure and sits well against the shoulders, it can be removed easily enough - but leaves the figure looking out of proportion and the left arm makes the whole look a little strange. The figure is a dramatic disappointment from the waist down. After such an impressive sculpted top half, you find the bottom half is a simple pair of trousers and shoes taken straight off the Captain Marvel 1990's Nick Fury from the same year. We do not see a lot of the lower half of The Collector but what we do see is a pair of black trousers - while some costume references have these including more red leather look panels. The shoes appear to be out of place and he from the screen grabs I can find they should be smooth, laceless boots of some kind. All in all these lower legs do make him look very tall and lanky using these legs and proportions feel off? Accessories 2/5 The Collector comes with a single accessory, and this is a re-use from 2014 from the original Guardians of the Galaxy wave - the Power Stone in its circular container. This piece does have some surface texture, but not as intricate as the actual prop - something that I assume is very difficult at this scale. it is coloured in silver with no other discernible decor. I had hoped we might get a specifically shaped hand to hold this, a bit like the hand that came with Loki for the Tesseract - sadly, we don't. The hands are very generic on the figure with the right including a trigger finger so likely repurposed. The right hand won't give enough to hold the Power Stone, the left however will after a bit of teasing. Articulation 3/5 The Collector has a total of 18 points of articulation, the same as The Grandmaster and with the same variation in arm joints - with the cloaked left arm getting a single rotating elbow and no bicep swivel vs the right arm that is fully mobile with double jointed elbow and the bicep movement. Head : ball joint neck with pivot Body : torso ball joint Left Arm : ball joint shoulder, single joint rotating elbow, wrist pivot Right Arm : ball joint shoulder, bicep swivel, double joint elbow, wrist pivot Legs : ball joint hips, thigh swivel, double joint knees, ankle rocker There is sufficient play in the right arm for having the Collector be quite expressive and even adjust his goggles or touch his head. The left arm is much more restricted, but can bend to a right angle to hold the Power Stone. The legs are fully mobile, and yet are a real pain to pose. The ratchet ankle joints never seem to line up with a flat footed position and the stances end up with legs off in one direction or one knee bent behind or worse bent to the side. I do find this irritating and I am constantly trying to tweak the stance for a better one. Summary From the waist upward, The Collector is an absolute stunner of a figure. Nailing the likeness across two head sculpts and doing a great job of the top half of the costume. The figures issues lie in the legs - which are a direct reuse from a Nick Fury figure - and these look off in the case of proportions and aesthetics. They are also a pain to pose in what you'd consider a natural stance. The other consideration with the set is the exclusivity of the set, particularly for a character like The Collector who cannot be obtained anywhere else. Thankfully the pack has been very easy to obtain for an SDCC exclusive - and there have even been some significant reductions here in the UK bringing it down well under the RRP. For San Diego Comic Con 2019, Hasbro took their recently announced MCU Grandmaster Marvel Legends figure and combined him in a special 2-pack with a brand new figure of his cosmic counterpart, The Collector. The set was sold at SDCC 2019, but was also globally available through the fan channel and specialist retailers. Checkout the corresponding The Collector review here Packaging 4/5 As an SDCC exclusive, the packaging on this set is outside the usual formats for Marvel Legends - it is also big and bold in terms of its design and shape. The piece is designed as a circular box with each figure displayed in a curved window on either half. Above each window is the Legends logo and beneath it the movie logo for the figure - Guardians of the Galaxy for The Collector and Thor Ragnarok for The Grandmaster. Being of such a size, and with the shape, the box is prone to damage and there is also quite a lot of tape visible where it has been used to keep the top and bottom flaps secure. The set then opens up by means of Velcro fasteners. This allows the two window segments to be displayed side by side and we now have a reverse for the box. This back segment includes features we had seen on The First Ten Years sets, with a movie poster replicated and under this a short piece of text for each figure. The Grandmaster text reads as follows. "The ruler of Sakaar and administrator of the Contest of Champions, the Grandmaster is an ancient and powerful being. If anyone dares to cross him, the Grandmaster takes swift and merciless justice, using his Melt Stick to reduce a victim to a puddle of organic matter." The box opens from the top or bottom flaps of each semicircular panel. The figures slide out in a full cardboard inner piece with the figure secured into a clear plastic section that sits in front of a scenery inspired card backing. Sadly the rest of this inner piece is plain brown cardboard and not easy to display well outside of the box. The Grandmasters backing piece is his chair, in his throne room on Sakaar. A 3D effect is created by having the chair as a separate cardboard cut out piece that sits further out than the rest of the backing card. Paint & Sculpt 4/5 The figure has a good likeness to Jeff Goldblum but I am not sure the smiling look is quite right as the smile only seems to be at the mouth with the cheeks and eyebrows not moving to match the expression. With some good positioning of the head the smile can begin to look quite sinister, which is much more impactful. The face print technology does a brilliant job of the eyes and face tones and also colours the open mouth smile with visible lips, teeth and gums. The outfit is reflective of the onscreen ensemble with a long gold cape that runs from the collar down to where it drapes on the floor. The left arm is sculpted to be part of the cloak, while the right is open and is in the blue of his inner robes. The robe is an individual piece and could be removed if you wish - it is held in with a plug at the front around the red tied sash, once un-popped it can be removed with the full body sculpted and painted underneath - it will leave the left arm looking odd.. The body is essentially cast in the base colours, with paint added for the red trim - this is applied neatly with no concerns. The sandals are also well painted and the nails of the feet, and hands are painted with a blue nail varnish. The right hand even has a tiny sculpted ring on the little finger, and above this the right wrist gets a golden bracer, this is also full of texture and well painted. This is pretty much the same Grandmaster released in the 2-Pack with Korg, the only difference being the head in its smiling look. Everything else is identical with no real paint variations. Looking at the two of them side by side, I personally prefer the stern general release over the smiling SDCC version. Accessories 4/5 The SDCC Grandmaster comes with his Melt Stick. This is cast in a gold plastic with some stress lines visible in the central piece. The top globe is painted a slightly darker bronze colour. It does arrive slightly warped, but is a soft enough plastic so it can be addressed with some hot/cold treatment if you wish. It fits in the Collectors right hand - a fit that is quite tight for a Legends figure and requires some teasing back of the fingers. There are also two handed poses available with the left hand used as support. There is no difference between this Melt Stick and the one in the General release. We do get an added accessory with the SDCC version, the blue puddle that used to be Cousin Carlo. This is a cast piece which is hollow underneath, it is cast in a metallic blue that does give it a liquid look when the light shines on it. Unfortunately it does not seem to want to sit flush to the floor and is raised up a little on one size. This may well settle over time or you could try some hot water treatment. Articulation 3/5 The Grandmaster has a slightly odd articulation count, of 17 points, due to two different sets of joints on each arm. The right arm gets full articulation with double joint elbows and a bicep swivel, while the left arm has a single joint rotating elbow. Head : ball joint neck with pivot Body : torso ball joint Left Arm : ball joint shoulder, single joint rotating elbow, wrist pivot Right Arm : ball joint shoulder, bicep swivel, double joint elbow, wrist pivot Legs : ball joint hips, thigh swivel, double joint knees, ankle rocker The arms are essentially all that can be moved effectively on The Collector with the robes putting pay to much movement for the legs or the torso. The head can rotate within the confines on the collar, and the pivot does allow some emotive head tilts. The figure stands perfectly, with the robes giving additional stability to the legs. Summary Like the general release, The Grandmaster is a stunning figure and a great conversion from the screen to figure format. I do prefer the stern version to this SDCC smiling option, but under certain angles the smile does become quite sinister which really works. The inclusion of the goo of Cousin Carlo is a nice addition, but there is an argument that should have been included in the General version. The box is big and as such Collectors may struggle to display it fully. Thankfully this is an SDCC release that has been both relatively easy and relatively cheap for collectors to get hold of. We are talking £20 a figure (or less depending on offers) which makes the set good value for money. I score The Grandmaster from the SDCC set a 4 out of 5. Diamond Select Toys have revealed, via their latest product solicitation, that they will be re-releasing two popular Diamond Select Marvel 7 inch scale figures this Autumn (2020). Both figures were Disney Store Exclusives originally, they will now be re-released under a General release and available to all stockists. First is Thanos, based on his comic book appearance and originally released to coincide with the release of Infinity War. The second figure is comic book Planet Hulk in Gladiator gear, again originally released as a loose tie in to the MCU when Thor : Ragnarok was in cinema's. IGN has revealed the next figure in Hasbro's GI Joe Classified line as Cobra Commander. The 6 inch Commander is a reimagining of the classic figure into a modern setting and the new 6 inch scale. He will include a gun, sword and two additional hand options. The Commander is down for a September 2020 release. There was an opportunity to get a limited number of the figures early by means of shopping app NTWRK. Fans were however not happy that NTWRK initially used an image of a lighter blue Cobra Commander with gold trim as their promo image. After all orders were placed they then advised they'd been sent the wrong images and everyone would be getting the standard version. This leaves the context of the variant as yet unknown. As a variant it would be a candidate for an SDCC 2020 exclusive - and with that show now cancelled, it may be looking for a new avenue? I was alerted today to this line of 6 inch figures from Space : 1999 being sold by UK company Sixteen 12. They were previously called Product Enterprise and have always worked with cult UK shows including Thunderbirds and most famously Doctor Who with their RC Daleks. The line of 6 inch figures launches in September 2020 with pre-orders, and an early bird discount, being offered. There are five figures including Commander John Koenig and CaptaiN Alan Carter in both standard uniform and their Alpha Spacesuits. The fifth figure is Dr Helena Russell in her uniform. Tamashii Nations have released details of their 3rd figure in their SH Figuarts Iron-Man series, following on from the two "Birth of Iron-Man" figures, this new figure is the "I am Iron-Man" edition of the Mk3 Armour. The Mk3 includes three sets of hands, alternative back repulsor flaps and 6 clip on repulsor FX piecest to recreate the suit firing or flying with its repulsors. The arc reactor is cast in a clear plastic to add depth. This is the same base figure as the 2016 release from SH Figuarts but it has had a full paint overhaul to make it more screen accurate - even adding paint chips across the armour. It also uses die-cast in the legs to give the figure weight. It will also come with a stand, emblazoned with the Stark Industries logo. Full pre-orders will open by Friday of this week (19th June 2020) with some early access being granted to members of Club Tamashii. It is likely this is an October 2020 release alongside the Mk1 Armour, Tony Stark and the re-released Hall of Armour piece. All of the sets are exclusive to the Tamashii Webstore in Japan - but have been more generally available elsewhere in the world for pre-order. Keep an eye on your usual stockist this coming Friday. Based on what we have now seen, it is clear that the 4th and final figure in the line - which we know is from Endgame - is most likely going to be "The Death of Iron-Man" and should be a version of the Mk85 armour.
