Diamond Select also chose April the 9th as the date to run a video event for fans to showcase their upcoming 2021 product. The 40-minute video featured Zach Oat (Marketing Supervisor) from Diamond as well as Diamond President Chuck Terceira, Product Developer Dev Gilmore and Product Manager Robert Yee. While the original Karate Kid movies licensing (we assume) still sits with NECA and Icon Heroes, it seems that Diamond have picked dup the license for the Netflix Cobra Kai series and will be bringing us 7-inch Select figures from the show. Pictured during the event is the first series, planned for Winter 2021. They include Danny Larusso, Johnny Lawrence, and John Kreese with all three presented in their Karate gear. The Lord of the Rings Select 7-inch figures are continuing past Series 3 and the Sauron BAF with a 4th wave containing Gandalf and Gollum. Gandalf is as seen in The Fellowship of the Ring as Gandalf the Grey, consistent with the other figures released to date. He is pictured with his staff and with Glamdring at his waist - although it is unclear if this a weapon accessory or a sculpted part of the belt. Gollum is shown simply as a figure and there will need to be some further inclusions with Smeagol to ensure there is a perceived equal value of him vs the other figures in the line. This may be dealt with like the Orc with multiple head options. This 4th Series is also not (as yet) associated with a BAF. It is down for a Winter 2021 release, but may well fall into early 2022. The third part of the Hasbro Transformers War for Cybertron Trilogy, Kingdom, will arrive on Netflix in July 2021. A number of new Transformers were announced at Hasbro Pulse Fan Fest for the final part of the War for Cybertron Trilogy, with representation for the Autobots, Predacons, and Fozzilizers. The Hasbro Power Rangers panel at Fan Fest revealed a number of new figures in the Lightning Collection. Most of the releases were the Metallic rangers, following on from the release of the Metallic Pink Ranger. We will be getting the Yellow, Blue, Black and Red Rangers with the Metallic paint job. Each of the Metallic Rangers will feature masked and unmasked head options, alternative hands and character-appropriate weapons. The figures will ship on the 1st of October 2021. They can be preordered from Hasbro Pulse, and here in the UK they will also be available at Smyths. The HasLab Marvel Legends Sentinel featured heavily across both the main Hasbro Pulse Fan Fest event, and the 'Party' event the night before. The team were showing off the various features of Sentinel such as the articulation and the light-up effects. And we also got the first look at the boxed packaging for the set. The Marvel Legends release of Quasar was discussed back at a Fan Stream in February 2021 and was formally confirmed at Hasbro Pulse Fan Fest. The figure will join Dark Silver Surfer and Nova as Walgreens exclusives in the US, and will be sold by EB Games in Canada. There have been a number of leaks, rumours and speculation about a new Marvel Legends collection for 2021 called the Infinity Saga. This line has been confirmed at Hasbro Pulse Fan Fest, and the first figure revealed as Thor from the Final Battle in Endgame. Thor will come with both Stormbreaker and Mjolnir, both cast in a translucent blue 'powered' state. A Lightning effect piece is also included. Final Battle Thor is a Summer 2021 general release. The rest of the collection is likely to be revealed over the coming weeks and looks to include further single releases and multi-packs, with some being retailer exclusives. The packaging for the line has been unveiled along with the new Thor and follows a similar squared box design used on the MCU First Ten Years sets and the Marvel 80th Anniversary line.
