After a number of teases and hints, we finally get a full look at the NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990 Movie pack of Hamator Yoshi and Oroku Saki. The 'Shadow Warriors' set will feature Hamato Yoshi, who can be displayed with his black shirt or without. He also comes with a selection of weaponry, alternative hands, a cage on a stand, and two versions of his pet rat Splinter. Oroku Saki also features swap-out shirt and arms and a mirror of the weaponry included for Yoshi's use. He also features two head options. Like all TMNT Movie figures, the set is exclusive to Walmart in the US and will be released in July/August 2021. While a wider global release is likely, it may arrive a bit later in the year - we await confirmation of a UK release. The 3rd and final day of McFarlane Toys Summer Showcase focused on their new Spawn figures, and like the previous 2-days started with a video from the Todd Father giving us a rundown of the new Spawn releases. There was nothing new revealed as such, but we got a look at the figures of Gunslinger Spawn, Raven Spawn, The Redeemer, The Clown, and The Violator. And we got a look at some of the packaging. Following the video we got a number of Spawn comic book covers recreated using the new figures which is a pretty cool way of showing them off. The $1200 limited edition polystone statue will stand 26-inches high and weighs over 29lbs. It features three head options that can be interchanged onto the body. Super7 have been granted a license from Hasbro to produce Power Ranger product, as announced in January 2021. THe oroginal pres release confirmed a line of Ultimates 7-inch Rangers with the plan to start with the Green Ranger, Yellow Ranger, Putty Pattroler, Tyrannosaurus Dinozord and Goldar. We now have our first look at one of these figues, Goldar, who was unveiled during The Official Power Morphicon Convention 2021. He will be appropriately scaled, standing 8-inch or so high alongside the Rangers which will be around the 7-inch mark. He has two head options, alternative hands and a selection of weaponry. Day 2 of McFarlane's Summer Showcase focused on the new DC Retro line of 6-inch figures from the 1966 Batman TV series. The showcase of the new Batman figures was headed up with another video courtesy of Todd McFarlane The line will kick off with a wave of Batman (Adam West), Robin (Burt Ward), and The Joker (Cesar Romero). Each figure will be blister-carded and includes some of the iconic 'cartoon' word balloons associated with the fight scenes in the show. Both Batman and Robin will have soft goods cape. A variant of Batman unmasked was confirmed to be an NYCC exclusive. It was not confirmed where the other variants of Robin (unmasked) and Joker (masked) seen at Wonderfest 2021 will fit into the line. There is also a Batmobile release, which can seat two figures. This will have a US RRP of $30 so it should come in around £30 here in the UK. The same price applies to the 24-inch wide Batcave playset. The playset is a fold-out piece with a circular Batmobile car parking spot and individual bat computers and accessories. The line has been confirmed as a Target US exclusive, while outside the US there should be a more general distribution. ToyNewsi are reporting the 2nd wave of figures has also shown up in the Target (US) system with a new Riddler figure and swimsuit versions of Batman and Joker. McFarlane are not the only ones releasing new figures from Avatar: The Last Airbender. The Loyal Subjects have confirmed that Aang, Katara, and Zuko are incoming in their 5 inch BST AXN line. We have images of Aang so far, who will come with his staff, three head options and a selection of hands. The figures are exclusive to Walmart in the US.

McFarlane's Summer Showcase begins with a closer look at the new Avatar: The Last Airbender figures with Todd McFarlane. The video gives us a look at the 5-inch line as well as a first glimpse of the 7-inch line. The smaller 5-inch scale has also been listed today on the Walmart website in the US, giving us a full look at the figures arriving at launch. We have figures incoming of Aang, Sokka, Katara, and Prince Zuko. Each figure has 10 points of articulation and an accessory or effect piece included. These are blister carded rather than being boxed. There is then a deluxe Appa figure which will come in an open-fronted box. All of the figures have an August release date. There is also a second version of Aang, packed in a window box with his glider. This Aang features an alternative facial expression and he can be attached to the glider. Aang is the hero and spirit of the show. This adventurous 12- year-old is the last Airbender and only known survivor of the Air Nomads, the arrow on his head a constant reminder of his lineage. His destiny is to learn the art of the Avatar and defeat the Fire Lord of the Fire Nation. But rather than save the world, Aang searches for adventure. He wants a life full of fun experiences, not heavy responsibilities. Aang believes people are either in harmony with the Spirit of the Planet, or corrupt and misled. Because Aang is the Avatar, he has a connection with nature as well as animals. Enter Sandman! with this surprise release from Hasbro of a new Marvel Legends Spider-Man Retro Collection Sand-Man figure. Teased on the last Fan Event for Power Rangers, the Power Rangers Lightning Collection Zeo Cogs 2-pack has now been confirmed and opened up for pre-orders. The set features two of the Cogs Foot Soldiers, as seen in Power Rangers Zeo. They are armed with speak weapons and also come with extra heads and hands and some blast FX pieces. "It's Morphin Time! Pterodactyl!" We are very honoured to have been sent an advance copy of the Hasbro Power Rangers Lightning Collection Pink Ranger Role Play Helmet to review ahead of its Autumn 2021 launch. The item has been provided by Hasbro UK free of charge for the purpose of reviewing, but the review itself is impartial and my own. The helmet arrives in a closed box with a white base colour and a stylised illustration of the Pink Ranger to the right-hand side that wraps onto the second side of the box. An image of the actual helmet is then used on the box front, headed up with the Lightning Collection logo. These images and the logo are repeated around the box. The back of the box has an image of the helmet on its display stand with some call outs around the picture highlighting the 'Premium Role Play' and 'Adjustable Fit'. To the side is a Christmas Tree design cut in coloured in deep pink and this carries a very brief piece of text relating to the Pink Ranger - repeated in different languages. "In the series Kimberley Hart and Katherine Hillard both morph into action as the Pink Power Ranger" The helmet and stand are wrapped in tissue paper and these are then held in place inside the box with a cardboard inner insert. The helmet is cast in its base colours with a high gloss finish on the pink and the white, with added detail around the two green inserts above the visor, and the silver mouth section. The visor itself looks to be tinted and comes across as black, although you can see through this quite clearly when the helmet is worn. There are two clips visible at the base of each side of the helmet, although these have no function, and are replicating the original costume. To help the wearer of the helmet get it over the head, a seam running around the helmet opens up with a hinge at the top. This is controlled by magnets which hold the piece in place when re-sealed over a human head or for display. Inside the helmet are a series of adjustable straps for varying head sizes allowing you to adjust the fit in a number of ways to best suit your head shape and comfort. I personally found the helmet small when I wore it and I was unable to close the hinge fully due to the size of my head. My son did model for me in our YouTube video for this product and while it did fit him, it was still quite snug and he is only 11. The beauty of the piece is the display option, and to support this you receive a four-piece display stand to assemble. While there are no instructions, the pieces only fit together one way to create the piece which is a glossy black plastic in its finish and adorned on the front with a foil classic 1993 Power Rangers logo sticker. Instead of this sticker, which won't be everyone's cup of tea, it might have been nice for an option to curate the piece with a nameplate instead as we might see on very high-end prop replicas. For anyone thinking of removing the sticker, the shape is part of the base so while the sticker could be removed the MMPR logo shape will remain. The top section of the stand is shaped to slot into the straps internal to the helmet, and this ensures the helmet is kept straight and secure on the stand - sitting just above the base piece and that foil sticker The display option is where the real beauty of this piece is revealed - it looks fantastic and captures the light and reflections around it. For Power Rangers collectors, it will form a focal point for display and will look great in a wider display with the already released Red & White Ranger helmets. The Pink Power Ranger helmet is due for an October/November release here in the UK.
