Jada Toys 6-inch scale Universal Monsters

Jada Toys, well established for making diecast vehicles from popular franchises like The Fast and Furious, are back in the Action Figure arena. As we shared a week or so ago, they have a new line of 6-inch Universal Monsters figures in the works and these have now gone up for pre-order.

"Are you a fan of the iconic movie monsters of the past? You know, favorites such as Frankenstein, Dracula and his bride, The Wolf Man, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Mummy, and The Invisible Man? Thanks to Universal Classic Monsters, the 1920s - 1950s horror-fantasy-thriller-sci-fi films from Universal Pictures, these distinctive characters portrayed by actors Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney, and Lon Chaney Jr. live on in our memories and nightmares and in the toys and collectibles you find below. Take home an action figure or mini-figure to play with, add a mask or two to your Halloween or role-play costume, or choose something else exciting from this scary selection… and let the frightening fun begin!"

The Creature from the Black Lagoon will be packed with two head options, alternative hands, a spear gun, and a soft goods net. Dracula features two heads as well as a bat accessory and a candlestick. Dracula's cape is soft goods.

Frankenstein's Monster also features two head options, alternative hands, and two lots of shackles. The Bride of Frankenstein will feature the securing posts with real chains, as well as an alternative head and hands. The Bride will be presented in a soft goods tailored dress.

About Me : As a child of the 70's and 80's I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force) and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licences - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
