Two new NECA Alien figures have gone up for pre-order, both part of the Kenner Tribute line. The Panther alien had been revealed some time back, and it is joined by the Night Cougar Alien that utilises much - if not all - of the Panther sculpt but in a darker black and red paint job. Both Aliens are fully articulated, including the bendable tail on its metal armature as normal. Both also feature a detachable drone that attaches to the Xenomorph's back magnetically. Two new SH Figuarts releases for Star Wars have been revealed, both taken from the 2nd Season of The Mandalorian. As well as a new Mando figure, complete with Grogu, we are also seeing the first figure of Boba Fett in his recovered armour and Tatooine robes. The Mandalorian will come with soft goods cloak and a swap-out head so you can display him with a helmet, or unmasked with the Din Djarin head. He will come with his blaster, rifle, and saddlebag. The accompanying Grogu figure can be stowed in the bag. Mando also comes with his jet pack that can be clipped to the body in place of the slung rifle. Boba Fett features both a helmeted head with an articulated range finder, and an unmasked Temura Morrison sculpt. The armour parts are fitted over both sculpted and soft goods robes and Boba is armed with his rifle and blaster. He too also comes with his jetpack and a neat clip-on piece for his left arm that recreates the holo-display of his family chain code. The figures are listed as January 2022 releases. We have more incoming from Iron Studios in their Mandalorian line, this time it's in the 1/4 Legacy Replica scale and a gorgeous diorama scene statue featuring Luke Skywalker, Grogu, and R2-D2 as seen at the end of Season 2. The piece also features lights & sounds functions for R2-D2. At nearly 21 inches high and weighing 13lbs, this is a substantial release and will be available in the 2nd quarter of 2022 - with pre-orders now open. Alongside his old droid, his partner in many adventures and battles, the imposing figure dressed all in black carries in his right arm a small child named Grogu, who looks like his old master Yoda and has a strong connection with The Force. Derived from one of the most memorable and iconic scenes from the final episode of the second season of the series The Mandalorian, Iron Studios presents the statue "Luke Skywalker, R2-D2 and Grogu - Legacy Replica 1/4 - The Mandalorian", with three of the most important and beloved characters from the Star Wars saga united. Luke Skywalker battled and defeated an entire platoon of Dark Trooper droids, thus becoming the child's new protector, who was given to him by the child's former guardian, Din Djarin (Mando). Alongside its owner, the small astromechanical robot droid R2-D2 appears in the seven films of the Star Wars saga, being one of the main characters in the franchise, having partnered with Anakin Skywalker in the past. He was responsible for transmitting the Death Star's plans to the rebels, and with this information, they managed to destroy this imperial weapon. In the 1980s, the robot starred in its own animated TV series called Droids, made cameos in The Clone Wars and Rebels, and now in The Mandalorian. It is the first R2-D2 statue produced by Iron Studios and includes light-up and sound features. The statue stands on a base similar to the floor of Gideon's light space cruiser spacecraft, where the three iconic characters meet each other. This statue is added as another must-have in The Mandalorian's Legacy Replica 1/4 Iron Studios line. Revealed today by Dan Who? Reviews is a brand new Marvel Legends Captain Britain figure, complete with Excalibur. Check out the reveal video... The set features a new version of Astronema, although parts look to be carried over from her first 2-pack release with the In Space Red Ranger. Jazwares have shared an image and link to a new 6.5 inch Halo figure listed on Target's website in the US. This is a new version of Master Chief, based on the original Wave 1 release but with updated deco including battle damage. Master Chief also now comes with the forearm mounted grappleshot, complete with a soft goods string. With no other figures listed, we are assuming this is not part of a wave and is a stand-alone release. It is not clear either if this is a Target US exclusive. It is apparently available now in Target stores. McFarlane's previously revealed DC Multiverse figures of Lobo and Superboy-Prime have gone up for preorder with an October release date. Lobo comes with his chain weapon, while Superboy features a flight stand. The Entertainment Earth listing indicates that Lobo may have a Platinum chase variant - we await more details on this. The last survivor of the planet Czarnia, Lobo is an intergalactic bounty hunter that plays by his own rules to get the job done. Though he's fought on the side of the good guys, his crude tactics often put him in direct opposition with the Super Heroes of the Justice League and the DC universe. Lobo has super-strength, speed, and heightened senses, which help him track his prey across the galaxy. He's also a brutal fighter with regenerative abilities that make him virtually indestructible. McFarlane are returning to the DC Animated Series with their next two releases, specifically Superman: The Animated series. There will be a new variant of the original Animated Series Superman, now in his black suit with silver trim and cape. He will be packed alongside a bent girder as well as the stand and art card. The new Animated Flash will come with alternative hands and a speed force effect piece. Both figures will be November 2021 releases. Announced via Warhammer Community, the next Warhammer 40k Space Marine release from Bandai will be the Ultramarines Primaris Captain in Gravis Armour. The 8-inch figure has a removable backpack and cloak, power sword, and interchangeable right-hand options. It is fully articulated and includes both plastic and metal parts. Like the previous releases, the Ultramarines Captain will open for a pre-order window from Saturday the 21st of August. Once the limited time window closes, the figure goes into production based on the preorder numbers and will ship around March 2022.

McFarlane has released the full gallery and details for their Blight figure, the fourth and final figure in the staggered Target US wave that includes the parts for the Jokerbot BAF. The figure releases in late November 2021. After Bruce Wayne’s health began to decline, Derek Powers, the corrupt CEO of Powers Technology, merged his company with Wayne’s. With access to new assets, Powers used his vast resources to develop dangerous weapons for the government. After being exposed to one of his deadly chemical agents, Powers attempted to save his own life by experimenting on himself with large amounts of radiation. After years of NECA dominating the Alien action figure market, we can now look forward to a new 6-inch option courtesy of Mezco. The Mezco One:12 Collective Xenomorph is based on the "Big Chap" Alien from the original 1979 movie. It will feature full articulation on a brand new seamless body. The jaw is also articulated and there are interchangeable inner mouths for differing looks. There is also a swap-out chest, one normal and one damaged as pierced by the grappling gun at the end of the movie. Accessories in the set feature a coiled Facegugger, designed to fit over the head of most other standard Mezco One:12 figures. We will also get an open Facehugger, Chestbuster, and two Alien Eggs - one open, and one closed. The Alien (1979) is an early 2022 release, shipping between January and March. It can be preordered now through Mezco (with International Options) or via your Mezco stockist. It is interesting to see Kane in the promo images. It could simply be a prop for the photos as no further figures are confirmed as yet. On the flipside, Mezco often teases new releases in their promo gallery and we may have more Alien figures to look forward to? “In space, no one can hear you scream.” The perfect organism, Alien joins the One:12 Collective! The One:12 Collective Alien features an all-new seamless body designed with an internal skeleton armature that is durable yet highly posable. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licences - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who and the Aliens.
