The full details of the new Spider-Man Retro Carded wave of Marvel Legends figures have been released along with pre-orders ahead of their release in early 2022. McFarlane's Warhammer 40k line is breaking new ground at the moment with new aliens being introduced including the Orks, and now the Genestealers. There will be two versions starting with the Tyranid Genestealer as a fully painted standard release. The second version is an unpainted proof of the Ymgarl Genestealer, presented with a different head to recreate the variant of the species found on Ymgarl. We would hope this gets a fully painted release in a future wave. The Space Marines will also be bolstered with the Ultramarine Reiver figure who will also come as both a painted release and an unpainted artist's proof. While both figures are identical, a variant weapon - the grapnel launcher - is included with the unpainted version. The figures go up for pre-order come the 14th of September. The McFarlane Warhammer 40k to date has focused on the Space Marines, Sisters of Battle, and the Necrons - but things are about to change as the Waaagh is coming. The first Orks in the Warhammer line have been confirmed with four Megafigs now up for pre-order for a November release date. Hasbro's latest Marvel Legends Fan First live stream on the 13th of September recapped a number of releases from the last panel including a better look at the Excalibur 3-Pack of Meggan, Captain Britain, and Shadowcat. The set is up for pre-order at Hasbro Pulse and Disney Store from the 14th of September. There were also new clearer images of the Army Builders of the Skrull and SHIELD Agents, both also up for pre-order from the 14th of September. The main reveal of the panel was a new wave of Retro carded Spider-Man figures that will include the Symbiote Spider-Man revealed last week. The wave will also include repacked/tweaks of the Hobgoblin and his Glider, Shocker, Hammerhead and Ben Reilly Spider-Man. There is then a new Armoured Spider-Man figure. The team also teased three further Retro carded releases of a classic Falcon, Loki and Lady Loki. Today's shopping trip was to B&M to check if the new Character Options Doctor Who sets for 2021 had landed. The good news was they had, well half of them, with the Sensorites and Keys of Marinus sets on the shelf at £19.99 each. I've already reviewed The Sensorites, so keep an eye out for our Keys of Marinus review later this week. The Dalek Sets are also landing based on the Twitter feeds, so wont be long before these are plentiful across the UK. It was interesting to also see some Marvel Legends on the B&M toy section shelf. Thes do not appear to be full waves with the store I was in having multiple figures of X-Man from the Sugar Man BAF Wave, and Rage from the Abomination BAF wave. They were not priced at this stage... Calling into Asda afterwards I was pleased to see they have turned their seasonal aisle over to their Christmas Toy Promo. While there were not a lot of figures, they did have the brand new wave of Jazwares Fortnite figures - including Atlantean Fishsticks, Oro, Scratch and Blackheart - at £15 each. The latest Hasbro Star Wars Fan First Panel was held on Wednesday the 8th of September with reveals across both the Vintage Collection and the Black Series The Black Series reveals were prominently based on The Mandalorian and include another wave of the Credit Collection. This time round we have repaints of Beskar Armour Mandalorian, The Armourer, Greef Karga, Kuiil, and Moff Gideon. Each figure is the same base as the standard release, but the paint job is recreating the end credit scenes we see at the close of each episode. As well as the standard accessories, each figure also comes with a credit chip. The card backs are Vintage inspired and also utilise the end credit scene imagery. Each figure is a specific retailer exclusive with Mando and Kuiil exclusive to Amazon, Moff Gideon to Bestbuy in the US, and The Armourer as a Gamestop (US) / EB Games (Canada) exclusive. Another of the November 2021 releases from the McFarlane DC multiverse is the 'Versus' two pack featuring Batman and Azrael from Curse of the White Knight. Batman is the same sculpt as the previous White Knight figures, but without his cape. Instead he has a dual sheath for the two rapiers included, and a Batarang & Rope accessory. Azrael in the Bat Armour is also a re-use and essentially is the same figure as that released singularly in 2020. He comes with his Sword. The McFarlane DC Multiverse Reverse Flash figure has gone up for pre-order at various retailers for a November 2022 release. The figure is based on the DC Rebirth story and features a number of clip on speed force effect pieces as well as the usual base and collectible art card. Obsessed with uncovering the secret of super-speed, a scientist from the 25th century named Professor Eobard Thawne traveled back in time to meet his idol, The Flash. However, when he learned that he was destined to become a villain and die at the hands of the Scarlet Speedster, Thawne went insane and became the Reverse-Flash. The Reverse-Flash harnesses the power of the Negative Speed Force, which grants him many of the same superpowers as The Flash, but also allows him to travel through time. He often uses this ability to travel through time to continuously wreak havoc on the timestream and torment The Flash. After a number of teases, NECA have officially confirmed and revealed their 8-inch retro style Matt Hooper figure from Jaws. The collectors figure features two Richard Dreyfuss head sculpts as well as a tailored outfit, two hats and a duffel bag. You even get the styrene cup for him to crush.
