Hasbro has announced a new partnership with Nintendo and the release of new action figures and toys from the long-running The Legend of Zelda series. Within the offerings for Zelda will be 6-inch collector action figures, the first three of which will be revealed at San Diego Comic Con 2027. Read the full press release below PAWTUCKET, R.I.; 16. Hiya Toys has revealed its next Mega Man figure with the Exquisite basic release of Mega Man X series X Ultimate Armor. The figure includes a selection of extra hands, face plates, and armour for Mega Man, as well as an effects piece and flight stand. The figure will release in the 3rd quarter (July-September) of 2027. Since its debut in 1993, Mega Man X has become an unforgettable classic in the hearts of countless players. Revealed as a DC Multiverse Red Platinum release is this new figure of Sentinel as seen in the Green Lantern comics. Sentinel comes with a pair of lantern effects, as well as the usual collector card and display base. In the US, this is exclusive to GameStop, and in Canada, it's sold via EB Games. Stocks will also be available in Target and Walmart later on this summer. In the UK it is being listed through McFarlane stockists. It should ship in August 2026. The new wave of DC Multiverse figures will include DC Classic releases of Sinestro in his Classic Uniform, Kid Flash, and Brainiac. There will also be a Modern Age release of Black Adam. Sinestro will come with a trio of Lantern-powered effects, while Kid Flash will feature four Speed Force effects and an extra pair of hands. Black Adam will come with an extra set of hands, while Brainiac has no included accessories. All four figures include a collector card and display base. These are general releases arriving in August 2026. “Cassian, I’ve cleared a path” Season 2 of Andor featured the story of how Cassian Andor came to be working with his repurposed Imperial K2 security droid. Despite the figure already having two specific Rogue One releases, and a number of similar KX releases under the Gaming Greats line for Jedi: Survivor, Hasbro deemed him a must for the Andor Season 1 figures so that anyone new to the line could purchase K2 to sit alongside the figures of Cassian, Dedra Meero, and Director Krennic who himself was a repack from Rogue One, albeit with updated face print decor. As an Andor release, K-2SO arrives in the Galaxy Collection packaging with a deep red highlight colour on the character text and the side artwork. This artwork shows K-2SO in a close-in shot against a cloudy skyline. This same image is used on the back of the box, where the background text talks about K2 being a reprogrammed Imperial droid and how he is now used as an effective insertion agent. There is no direct mention of his relationship with Andor or how the two came to work together. K-2SO is packed in an inner tray which is set against the usual colour-coordinated backing card. This deep red gives a good contrast to the dark metallic black of the droid, and like the side art, it also features an embedded image of a cloudy sky. There are very limited factory paintwork updates on this figure vs the 2016 and 2021 releases, which were both based on his Rogue One appearances. K-2SO is cast in a matt black finish with gunmetal joints. The droid's body is then trimmed with orange at the shoulders and hips, with component parts around the chest added in white and blue with a touch more gunmetal silver. Comparing the two side-by-side shows a slightly darker orange to the markings around the shoulders and hips. The newer version also features slightly less applied 'damage' decor. vs the 2021 K-2SO Droid from Rogue One (right) The head also features a matt black base with white painted eyes and silver and red component parts. ‘Damaged’ paintwork is added on the head, and down the body using silver scratched applications, and the figure is finalised with two silver Imperial decals - one on each shoulder. K2 has no accessories; essentially, this is accurate for most of his Andor appearances. But he did wield an ISB Agent blaster rifle in parts of the rescue scene on Coruscant, and that would have made a simple enough addition considering the sculpt already exists. It seems that, like his onscreen dilemma, K-2SO is destined to never be given the blaster he wants. Articulation is designed around the Droid body using very visible rotating pivots at the ankles, knees, and elbows. K2 has 16 points of articulation in total, although none of it is particularly secure, being devoid of any obvious ratcheting. This and the droid's proportions with long spindly legs and a large upper body make him a pain to stand without some form of aftermarket stand. The articulation does allow him a relatively wide range of movement, and he is quite emotive in his arms in particular - although the head lacks some of the additional movement we might like to support K2’s mannerism, having been jointed at the base of the neck and not at the top - or at both points. If you own either of the Rogue One releases of K-2SO, then this Andor release brings nothing new to the party. What it does do is ensure a gateway for new collectors to build up their team of Cassian and K-2SO from the get-go without entering the secondary market to chase down the older figures, as it is 5 years now since the last Kay release. “May the 4th be with you… Roger, Roger” Hasbro are no stranger to special releases within the wider Star Wars collector series, whether they be special metallic decor finishes or themed figures for Christmas or Halloween. The latest of these in the Star Wars Black Series 6-inch line is the Spring 2026 wave of ‘May the 4th be with you’ figures, celebrating Star Wars Day with tweaks to existing figures. The US distribution on these figures had them arriving on shelves for May the 4th 2026, which would add to the celebratory nature. Here in the UK, they arrived later in June 2026, which is essentially like shipping the Christmas figures in January. These May the 4th figures use the same base packaging as the rest of the series, but with the matt black base colour contrasted by a bright yellow colour bar under the window and with yellow borders around the upper Black Series logo and the character name, which in this case is listed as B1 Battle Droid. The border around the main window includes a shaped segment across the bottom right corner, and the application of the global ‘May the 4th be with you’ Star Wars Day logo. This same logo features on both side spines, with the usual art panel dropped for this series of releases. On the back of the box, where the artwork would usually sit, is a picture of the figure and accessories next to the background text, which talks about “the lighter side of the force” with these limited edition releases. The bottom third yellow border continues across the back, and features the 05.04 US format date and the text to confirm this date as Star Wars Day and another reference to May the 4th be with you. The standard black series line includes a cardback that sits behind the figure tray and is aligned in both the colour code for the release and embedded with character-appropriate imagery. For the May the 4th releases, this cardback section is left plain yellow in line with the box colouring, and is then covered by the inserted cardboard target featuring a silhouette of Anakin Skywalker. More on this target piece later, but it is worth noting that using this target as the card back does diminish the visuals in my eyes, and the set is much more impressive as a boxed display using the yellow backdrop as seen in the image. The key to these May the 4th releases is the inclusion of a 6-inch scale tailored T-Shirt, which all feature the May the 4th logo on the back, and a character-relevant logo for a fake Star Wars company on the front. For our B1 Droid, this it the Roger Roger Robotics company. This yellow tailored T-shirt is soft goods and sized specifically for the skeletal B1 droid. To display along with your May the 4th themed droid, you get the standard E-5 blaster rifle in a gunmetal finish. This is designed to slip into the B1’s clawed hands and can be held in a single- or double-hand pose. The target, another feature in all three of these 2026 releases, is a simple cardboard piece with a glossy front in white and with the silhouetted image of Anakin Skywalker with his lightsaber raised and blaster marks down the blade of the lightsaber. At the very top is some Aurebesh text. We might have expected a slip-in base or similar to have this on display, but Hasbro has chosen not to include anything else, leaving you with a piece of cardboard to display with your droid and a need to find a homemade solution to keep it upright other than leaning it against the back of a shelf. To this point, the set has very much been a gimmick, which is fine, but Hasbro has included a variation in this set which is a nod to collectors and those who have been waiting for B1 Battle Droid variants from The Phantom Menace. If you remove the T-shirt, which is a little challenging due to the tailoring around the arms and neck (it is easiest to remove the head of the droid), underneath we not only have a B1 Battle Droid, but one painted in the red markings of an OOM Series Security Droid. The base figure is identical to nearly all B1 Battle Droids, using the same base beige plastic as seen on the first Trade Federation B1 release from 2019. The red Security markings are positioned over this base plastic, but unlike the original release, there is no applied weathering or battle damage. You also do not get the backpack or rear communications aerial, although as this is the same base body you can utilise your spares if needed. This lack of any back components is accurate to the Security Droids we see during The Phantom Menace. With 2019 B1 Battle Droid (right) and wearing the backpack from the 2019 release Without the T-Shirt you can see the full extent of the articulation, and while the articulation format remains the same 18 points as the original release, these have been improved with the more recent releases, feeling much more stable out of the box compared to the earlier models and allowing much improved stability when posed. The joints are all worked in as part of the sculpt and mimic the joints on the Battle Droid props with large circular gears around the main jointed areas, such as the knees, hips, elbows and shoulders. The torso joint is the least mobile, offering a partial ab-crunch designed around a central hinge and the two supporting pieces. The head is ball-jointed at the top of the neck and can be turned and pivoted, with a second joint on the rear section of the head moving outward so it doesn’t clash with the neck. The entire neck piece also extends up and out of the chest, allowing the neck and head to be folded downward into the deactivated folded position. With the E-5 Blaster in place, and with the T-shirt discarded, this is a neat new addition to a Phantom Menace display, expanding the Trade Federation forces and adding a touch of colour to the B1 Battle Droid ranks which have been particularly vanilla to date, despite Hasbro revisiting the colourful ranks of the Clone Trooper battalions multiple times on the same base figure. For those leaning into the May the 4th Celebration, this is arguably a better release than other Holiday figures in terms of Star Wars fandom. The T-Shirt sits well enough on the skinny Battle Droid without impeding any movement, while the box also looks good for boxed collectors although if you are happy to unseal the box, it does, for me, look better with the yellow cardback, swapping the cardback around with the inserted target. This target, while a bit of fun, does miss the mark without a way to have it stood up on display, and it is perhaps a little larger than it needs to be? The B1 Battle Droid ‘May the 4th’ figure is an exclusive, sold via Target in the US and via the Fan Channel retailers here in the UK. The other two figures in the wave for 2026 are the Imperial Stormtrooper and the Imperial Scout Trooper. "General, we’re outgunned!" "When you ask for trouble, you should not be surprised when it finds you." Clones of the Republic is an exclusive sub-line of the Star Wars Black Series, sold via Hasbro Pulse with limited and time-delayed stock, then heading to Disney stores and parks. The premise of the line is a series of two-packs featuring a Jedi and a Clone Trooper as seen in the prequel era, notably the Clone Wars animation, but in a realistic style, as is the treatment for all animated characters released in the Black Series. To date, we’ve had four releases which have ranged from impressive updates such as a General Mace Windu with an 187th Legion Clone, to Yoda complete with Jedi Council Chair and a variant of Commander Gree. Other releases have been closer to repacks, with a welcome re-release of Clone General Obi-Wan with Cody, to a Clone Wars Anakin and Rex, with Anakin the same figure as released just a few months earlier and Rex not updated to the newer body. It was therefore interesting to see where the 5th set in the series went, with an updated release of Plo Koon and his Clone Commander, Wolffe. This is the first Clones of the Republic set for 2026, arriving in the Spring from Hasbro Pulse, with the Shop Disney stocks due later in the year, but there is no defined timeframe as yet. Despite the rest of the Black Series using the updated square boxes for Phase 4, the Clones of the Republic set are still using the slanted sides of the original Phase 1 figures. This does mean all five sets are consistent in their packaging, but look out of line with the other figures releasing at the same time. The base box is matt block, with the series given a light blue accent colour, which is used on the text. With two slanted sides, there is blue-hued artwork on either side, Plo Koon on the left and Wolffe on the right. These art panels are used again on the back of the box with text underneath that focuses predominantly on Plo Koon and his leadership of the Wolf Pack and his Clone Commander, Wolffe. The figures and accessories sit into an inner tray, but as this is the older format packaging, they do not get a colour-coordinated backing card, and instead this remains plain grey. We start with Jedi Master Plo Koon, who was first released in 2020 during Phase 3 of the Black Series. This time around Plo Koon has received a similar treatment to the COTR Mace Windu, repurposing the original figure but with tweaks. This includes replacing the forearms with Clone armour, gloss white and decorated with red Jedi sunburst designs. Apart from this armour, Plo Koon is wearing standard Jedi robes with a brown cast tunic with a different shaded brown belt and silver buckle. The upper half of these robes are a rubberised plastic jacket over a base torso, while the lower section is a similarly executed softer plastic skirt. The arms are a similar, but not an exact match, brown, extending into the Clone bracers and then with Plo Koon’s claw-like hands in black and orange. The legs, sitting predominantly under the skirt, are a tan finish and are then tucked into the knee-high red/brown boots. The head is a replication of the Kel Dor we see on screen during the prequels, a realistic style despite the origins of the set sitting in the animated Clone Wars series. Plo Koon’s orange ski and head tails are washed in a darker finish to add depth, while the eye visors and breathing mask are a jet black gloss finish. vs 2020 Plo Koon release (right) Compared to the original figure from 2020, we have lost the soft goods robes, and while the forearms are different, the rest remains identical other than the colour, with changes made to make both the robes and the facial mask and goggles much darker. As an older figure, the articulation on Plo Koon is slightly dated. There are still 19 points in total, but if you look at the legs, he does feature visibly pinned knees, although these are double-jointed as a trade-off. Above the knee we still get a thigh swivel, and the issue where the upper thigh is a different colour to the lower section persists. In Plo Koon’s case, this is not an issue as this is all covered by the skirt. The skirt does limit leg movement, but there are splits at the side to allow wider stances for battling with his lightsaber The upper joint set is more recognisable and includes butterfly shoulders to expand the arm range and the ability for two-handed saber posing. The waist is ball-jointed to add ab-crunch, the ability to lean back, and the usual rotation. The neck is dual-jointed, but the bottom end is more or less fixed, allowing movement via the top segment only. The sole accessory is Plo Koon’s lightsaber, a simple piece in silver with a gold central band, black pommel, and black emitter. Unlike most other Jedi, there is no holstering option for Plo Koon. The saber has no loop or peg, and the belt has no option to secure it. It will fit in either clawed hand for left or right hand positions and can be displayed as lit by inserting the usual translucent blade, blue in Plo Koon’s case. Clone Commander Wolffe was originally released before his Jedi General Plo Koon, arriving in 2018 and also part of the Phase 3 collection. This 2026 release completely replaces that figure in its entirety, moving Wolffe onto the newest Clone Trooper body (something that they didn’t do for the Rex release last year). This new Clone body uses cast white gloss armoured parts that connect at the joints, which are cast in black ribbed pieces. This means there is very limited paint decor and the paint lines between armour and undersuit are crisp and clean. The markings of the Wolfpack from the 104th Battalion are painted over the white plastic, with the bulk of this on the shoulders, forearms and boots. The two shoulder pauldrons feature decal applied symbols with a wolf on the right shoulder and the same Sunburst design as his General on the left. As a Commander, Wolffe features a twin-holstered belt in plain white and a kama skirt in black with grey trim. This is a soft goods piece. The helmet is Wolffe’s chosen BARC Trooper format with a narrow mouth and visor. This, like the armour, is cast in white. The visor is painted black as are the vent pieces over the nose and mouth areas. The Wolfpack markings are added in grey with some further red and orange symbols on the main ridge above the visor. A hinged rangefinder in silver sits to the right-hand side. vs 2018 Commander Wolffe release (right) When you compare Wolffe from this 2026 Clones of the Republic Set to the original 2018 release, we can see the variation in proportions. However, the older version still holds its own with the weathering and battle damage with the 2026 version very much a shiny with no dings or scratches. Wolffe was one of the first Clones in the Black Series to feature a removable helmet, and the new version, as is now more or less standard for Clones, includes the same. The unmasked head is a sculpted likeness to Temura Morrison with facial printing and aligned to a live-action look rather than animated. Wolffe’s scarring is visible from the right forehead and down over the eye, but the eye itself is not quite executed as the milky white damaged eye we expect. vs 2018 Commander Wolffe release (right) Again, comparing this new release to the old one, there are arguments that the older figure did a better job of capturing Wolffe in a realistic style, while also retaining his injuries and wild nature that we see during the Clone Wars appearances. Wolffe has twin DC-17 blaster pistols for weaponry; these are the same as released across previous Clone Commanders and ARC Troopers. They are simple in their design and casting and come in black plastic. The new Clone bodies do now feature trigger finger hands on both left and right, allowing Wolffe to wield and fire the blasters in either or both hands, another improvement on the original release. When not in use, they sit in the belt holsters. The new Clone body for Wolffe gives him 19 points of articulation in total and a much broader range of motion than perhaps the earlier pinned joints could provide. He can kneel, sit and brace himself into firing positions with arms that can also extend out to fire, be sat hovering over his holstered weapon, or even adjusting his helmet or the range finder, which is also hinged to swing down over the visor. This most recent configuration of the Clone Trooper body also features the floating knee armour, allowing the central piece to be positioned appropriately to the knee rather than jutting out at an unnatural angle when the knee was bent. These Clones of the Republic sets have a UK retail price of £44.99 via Hasbro Pulse, and that does make them cheaper than the standard price of two single releases. The Plo Koon and Wolffe set enhances both figures from their original releases, giving Plo Koon a specific Clone General look with armoured bracers, while Wolffe moves to the newer Clone body for improved articulation. Despite this, Plo Koon’s colour scheme has moved to a darker finish which does contradict with his live action appearances, and Wolffe does lack the weathering and battle damage of the original while also not quite nailing his facial injuries in the head likeness. This COTR collection continues to confound collectors with its variation in direction, and while it has remained true to bringing us Clone Wars era Jedi and their Clones, it has deviated several times from improving and enhancing figures with newer Clone bodies to full on repacks with no improvements. The line also continues to persist with the older Phase 4 slanted packaging, and for box collectors this will be frustrating while also not giving the sets the visual impact of the newer artwork and colour-coordinated card backs. Plo Koon and Wolffe are very much a pair that you could skip if you are happy with the originals; otherwise they provide a neat Clone Wars display update to sit alongside the corresponding Mace Windu, Obi-Wan, Anakin and Yoda (and their Clones) to battle the Separatist threat. "There is no strength in the hunger he possesses... and the will behind his power is a primal thing." The Star Wars Black Series first explored the Old Republic with the 2016 release of Darth Revan, following a fan's choice vote that chose him as a future release. Using the visuals from the various Old Republic video games in particular, we have since seen releases of the likes of Darth Malgus, Bastila Shan, and Darth Malek. One of the most anticipated releases from this era was the 2020 Darth Nihilus release, but it fell short (literally), arriving disappointingly on the Darth Maul body and not as tall and imposing as Nihilus as seen in Knights of the Old Republic II. Some 6-years later, Hasbro has revisited this Darth Nihilus release, fixing the original mistakes and packing him in a two-pack alongside his master and the other main protagonist of TOTOR2, Darth Traya. Traya and Nihilus arrive under the Gaming Greats banner with the matt black box accented with the turquoise colouring across the front band and the character name text. The usual Gaming Greats hexagon sticker sits on the bottom right of the main window and again on the left-hand spine. The right-hand side carries the box art, hued in the same turquoise, and depicting Darth Nihilus at the top, with Darth Traya underneath. These two packs are not numbered, and while the image is in keeping with all of the other Gaming releases, it has no connectivity into the wider collective montage. The back of the box uses expanded versions of both images with Traya on the left and Nihilus on the right, the latter image also featuring the Knights of the Old Republic II logo. In between them is the background text which details the relationship between Traya and Nihilus, expanding more into Traya's history and her having once been Jedi Master Kreia. The contents are accessed through either side panel, and we have a main inner tray with a smaller piece behind that carries parts of Traya’s accessories. This is all set into a cardboard backing tray featuring a colour-coordinated image. In usual releases, this is a faded, less-visual image towards the top of the main colour backdrop. For this one, there is a defined, clear centralised image of Malachor V offset on the backing card. Starting with Darth Traya, she is designed as seen in KOTOR2, fully robed in black. The figure is built using a new black cast robed torso and the arms and legs, also now cast in black, from the existing Shaak-Ti release. Over this base outfit is a black soft goods skirt, covered at the waist with a black softer plastic belt with a silver buckle. Traya also wears an outer set of robes with flared sleeves and a hood that sits over her head. The material of both skirt and robes is the same type as used on Jedi figures and on Palpatine and Vader figures. It is tailored to match Traya’s frame and sits naturally in a number of poses. With the hood down, Traya’s head is fully revealed and includes a pale face with subtle vein markings, darker lips, and dark black eyes - all applied via face print technology. The face is framed in a dark black hood which is trimmed in red and extends back and then opens up to allow her hair to flow back over her neck and down to the sides in two tied twintails. Traya’s hair is gray, and the twintails are tied with red and black ties down the length. Traya’s articulation is very much driven by Shaak Ti, who in turn featured the main leg articulation from Admiral Holdo. This means the lower articulation is pinned at the knee, but double-jointed, which allows Traya a good level of lower leg movement, including the ability to kneel (not that she would) or sit (not that she had a throne). The new boots, added onto the Holdo legs for the Shaak Ti release, provide an additional swivel alongside the thigh swivel further up and provide a relatively stable base. Be mindful of the robes, which are longer than the figure and can interfere with the feet The torso includes a ball-joint waist, and the neck is jointed top and bottom, with the head movement supported by flexibility in those twintails of hair that do come down over the shoulders. The arms include ball-jointed and butterfly shoulders, an elbow joint, and a wrist pivot. That means Traya weighs in with her combination of older and newer joints, with 21 points of articulation in total. Traya comes with three lightsabers, all of which are identical and include a grey and black hilt. They are not new and appear to be one of the ‘trophy’ sabers that came with the General Grievous release and also came with Shaak-Ti. These are now recoloured but still retain their sculpted features, including the peg that connected the hilt to Shaak-Ti’s belt. This feature is redundant for Traya. Each saber blade is translucent purple and clips in and out of the hilt. One of Traya’s key fighting techniques in KOTOR2 is to use her Force powers to levitate her sabers, and to replicate this, there are three new Force Effect stands, each slightly higher than the last and ending in a clip into which you attach the lightsaber hilt. These stands are swirled in nature, like moving air, and while translucent, have a slightly yellow effect to them which feels a bit odd. Of course, Traya can, and does, wield her own lightsabers in the game, and the sabers will fit in one or both hands, utilising the extensive arm movement to wield them in the more traditional style. We move now to Darth Nihilus, who is also modelled after the game design but does re-use parts where it can, with parts taken from the newer Revenge of the Sith Anakin Skywalker figure. The torso is cast in black with robe designs that crossover at the chest and that are then overlaid with a soft goods outer robe that then tucks into the belt piece. The arms, also cast in black, feature robed arms and long-sleeved black gloss gloves. The belt and ragged black skirt are an additional soft plastic piece that bridge the torso to the hips and legs while also securing the soft goods, which continue down over the legs as a skirt piece. Under these robes are the Anakin legs, also cast in black and left without any further decor, which is fine considering they cannot be seen beneath the shirt. Nihilus’ outfit is complete by his cape that secures around his back and flows down his back. Like Traya, all of the soft goods are tailored to the Nihilus body and use the same material as other Jedi/Sith figures. The iconic Nihilus mask provides a stark contrast to the black of the robes with its white face plate, central silver ridge, and the red above the eyes. Eyes, nose, and mouth are cut out from the mask and left black, but you can make out the sculpted shape of the face beneath. Around the head is a hood piece that frames the head and sits over the shape of the shoulders. Head and hood are connected so they move as one as the head turns. Doing the hood in a plastic material rather than the soft goods allows the very particular shape to be defined and held with the raised sides that almost look like horns. This head with mask is carried forward from the original figure, while the hood is reported as being new. When you compare the new and old figures side by side, the core difference is the fixing of the height issue with the 2026 Nihilus now physically imposing alongside other Old Republic characters. vs the 2020 Darth Nihilus (right) One of the original ‘mods’ for the 2020 Nihilus was to swap the head onto a Kylo Ren figure, which provided the height and an approximate look. This new figure makes this mod obsolete, and it is great to finally put an accurate Nihilus in both outfit and height on display. vs the 2020 Darth Nihilus (right, image 1) and the 'modded' version using Kylo Ren (right, image 2) Nihilus comes with his saber, also carried forward from the original: a silver piece with a spiral design grip, pointed pommel, and a flared emitter. There is no holster option, and Nihilus can hold the weapon in either hand. The red translucent blade connects in the usual clip-in way, and allows for Nihilus to be displayed with lightsaber drawn and ready for battle. There are 19 points of articulation in total, pinless thanks to the new parts and the donor parts from the relatively new Anakin figure. The arms include ball joints and butterfly shoulders along with an elbow that bends back on itself and the usual wrist pivots. These provide the ability for most lightsaber poses, including two-handed grips. The neck, while double-jointed, is restricted through the hood but can rotate and look up and down. The ball joint waist provides more movement, leaning Nihilus forward, or leaning him back while also allowing a full rotation. The Anakin legs include a hip joint, rotating knee, bootcut swivel, and ankle rocker. Nihilus is solid once posed, with plenty of ratchet security in the ankles. The shorter torn shirt does have some impact on the hips, but the rest of the soft goods move with the legs, and Nihilus has plenty of range, including kneeling positions. The Gaming Greats 2-pack featuring Darth Traya and Darth Nihilus is an Amazon global exclusive, so only available via the Amazon country-specific sites. It also commands a higher than usual RRP. While most Gaming Greats 2-packs retail from Amazon at £44.99, this one will set you back at least £60.99 here in the UK, with Amazon’s dynamic pricing now also kicking in following its release. So we are paying £30 a figure here rather than the usual £25, and for that we get two iconic characters executed very well, with Traya in particular coming with a volume of accessories that may have warranted a Deluxe release were she to arrive on her own. Nihilus is a significant improvement on the original, and while this is what we should have got originally in 2020, the new version finally gives us the Lord of Hunger we deserve for our Old Republic era displays. McFarlane's first set of Gaming Edition figures from the Fallout video game series will include two general releases and a Red Platinum Exclusive. Making up the general wave are Paladin Danse in Power Armour from Fallout 4 complete with extra hands, removable helmet and base. The second figure is Joshua Graham from Fallout: New Vegas, and he comes with extra hands, a gun, and a base. We then have a Red Platinum Edition Deluxe figure of the T-45 Military Armour as seen in Fallout 76. Here we also get extra hands, gun and display base. This one is an exclusive shared between Gamestop and Target in the US. Outside of the US it will be a general release through local distributors. These are all window boxed and also feature the usual McFarlane collector card. They are due to ship in August 2026. "I am my Master's weapon. I lay waste to all that stands in his way." The first Star Wars Black Series release of Starkiller from The Force Unleashed was in 2023, when Galen Marek arrived in his generic costume, first as a Hasbro Pulse Con exclusive in a deluxe set with two Stormtroopers and a selection of effect parts to reflect Starkiller’s many Force powers. The second release, of the same figure but slimmed down to just a single lightsaber accessory, followed the same year as part of Wave 15 of the Galaxy Collection Gaming Greats series. With Starkiller's debut into the Black Series, the clamour for this iconic Lord Starkiller Sith Stalker armoured look began to grow. That figure was finally announced in the Spring of 2026 as a Deluxe Gaming Greats release, shipping out to collectors in late June and early July. Lord Starkiller arrives in a wider deluxe box with the usual matt black base colour, Star Wars Black Series central logo across the top rail, and an assigned accent colour to break up the black base just under and to the right of the window. As a Gaming Greats release, this colouring is a turquoise finish, used on the text to confirm the character name and the source material as The Force Unleashed video game. Just above this and stuck onto the window of the box is the Gaming Greats hexagon foil logo. The turquoise colour is used on the side art, depicting the masked Lord Starkiller reaching out with his clawed hands against a backdrop of what looks like the scenery of an Imperial secret facility with doors or a view screen visible at the very back. Lord Starkiller is number 30 in the Gaming Greats Galaxy Collection and follows on from the last single release of Kyle Katarn from earlier in 2026. The back of the box has a zoomed-in image of Lord Starkiller, the same as the side art but focused only on his helmet, torso and outstretched clawed hand. Unlike the other Galaxy Releases that do not usually feature any source material logo, the logo for The Force Unleashed is imposed over the base of this inserted image. The text to the side talks about Galen Marek and his role as Lord Vader’s apprentice and the principle of multiple paths in the game, one of which leads him to become the Sith Stalker Starkiller Inside the box, the figure and accessories sit in the usual inner tray; this then sits in the colour-coordinated turquoise backing card which features the same embedded image of a corridor and doorway as seen behind Starkiller in the main artwork. Lord Starkiller is, as per the game and the novelisation, an alternative version of Galen Marek and one that has succumbed to the Dark Side and become a Sith Stalker Assassin for The Emperor. The visuals for the character are part of the Ultimate Sith Edition expansion packs, allowing you to play as Lord Starkiller in two missions against the Rebellion on Hoth and on Tatooine. The figure replicates this onscreen design, built entirely from scratch with no obvious re-use of parts. The main suit of the figure, cast in black, replicates the ridged design of Darth Vader’s suit, showing how this Sith Stalker Starkiller has followed the same path as his Master, damaged in battle and rebuilt with cybernetic enhancements and a breathing mask and helmet. Over this is a shaped torso armoured section, also in black, and across the shoulders dull silver armour that is shaped around the neck and extended across into two shoulder pauldrons. The hands are black and form long-sleeved gloves with sculpted strapping around the wrists. The right forearm also features three sections of silver pipework extending from the wrist bracer section and connecting to the wrist just above the hand. Both hands feature sharp blade claws, also in silver, that sit above the gloved fingers. Around the back of Starkiller is more intricate detailing, particularly a silver-painted spine to the suit and some form of life support tooling that is embedded into the shoulder armour and features red icons and indicators. The costume is finished with a belt that includes several hooks and a large front buckle with red indicator lights, again paying homage to the Vader suit design. From this belt come three shaped skirt pieces in black fabric. They are also wired, the second figure to feature this after the recent Darth Vader from the Empire Strikes Back Deluxe Set. This supercharges the soft goods, allowing them to be posed dynamically with the figure. It takes a bit of time to shape them, but once positioned, they can be shown flowing out from a static Starkiller or blowing to the side in the wind. The effect is truly spectacular. Yet while we are celebrating how amazing the wired soft goods are, we are faced with the discovery that, for some reason, Hasbro has had to include a fabric care label on the inside of one skirt piece. This is a white fabric tab, pretty much the same size as you may get in one of your own T-shirts, and featuring some copywriting information as well as washing instructions to surface clean only. This has never appeared before on soft goods Black Series figures to my knowledge; it may be a more recent requirement under legislation. It is, however, particularly ugly, and one most fans may choose to carefully snip out of their Starkiller skirt. The iconic Sith Stalker helmet is cast in silver to match the armoured panels on the shoulder beneath. While much of the shaping is smooth and even, there are small dings in the helmet frontage to indicate battle wear. The main helmet is framed around the mouthpiece with the sweeping side sections that wrap round the back of the figure. The T-visor is picked out in black, while the rest of the helmet relies on the light falling on its complex cut-out panels to pick out the wider detail. From the back of the helmet projects a softer plastic braid of hair that extends down Starkiller’s back; this is a basic brown colour with sculpted ties down the length of the braid in black. Lord Starkiller’s deluxe status is driven both by the wired soft goods but also the sheer volume of accessories, with our Sith Starlker coming with six different lightsaber hilts, all individual and all having its own a red translucent blade. To hold these, you also get a second pair of clawed hands, swapping out with the outstretched versions to create a gripping option in both hands if you wish. The saber hilts predominantly represent Starkiller’s trophies and include a version of Vader’s saber hilt in silver and black, taken after he defeated his Master. There is also Rahm Kota’s saber hilt in brown with a silver emitter and pommel. A third blade is part of Darth Maul’s twin saber; this is cast in grey/silver with red buttons. Saber four is Starkiller’s original saber, a similar design to Vader’s with a silver body and black inserts. And then we have a fully black hilt, which is the end of Kazden Paratus’s pike. The final saber is Lord Starkiller’s own saber, a huge gunmetal silver hilt with black grip and a trio of extending spikes around the emitter. Each saber hilt has a loop at the end, and that allows them all to be hung on the six corresponding hooks on Starkiller’s belt, wearing the trophies as we see in the game. Every saber can accommodate one of the included six red blades, and this gives Starkiller multiple options for display. While the game only showed these as trophies and not sabers Starkiller could wield, the figure and the gripping hands can choose and fight with any combination of sabers, either single or dual-handed. The grip in the hands also supports the Shien reverse grip as played in the game as well as more traditional wielding positions. Articulation is pinless, and there are 19 points in total across the body. The legs include ankle rockers, a bootcup swivel, a rotating knee joint, and ball joint hips. There are no obstructions from the skirt, and a broad range of motion in all the joints that allows Starkiller extremes of positions from kneeling to wide stance attack poses. I did find the ankle rockers a little trickier to sit flat as they do not appear to be ratcheted. Secure stances also require you to consider and pose the skirt or the wired elements can push the figure forward or to the side if not repositioned. The torso has a ball joint waist, giving Starkiller the ability to lean back and hunch forward as well as rotating the upper body. The neck is dual-jointed, and this allows a degree of manerisms to be included despite the helmeted head, which can then be cocked inquisitively, or looking down ominously on a victim. The arms feature both ball joint and butterfly shoulders, elbow joints, and a ball joint where the hand connects to the wrist - a change from the usual plug-in pivot. The arms have a full range of movement, and the silver shoulder pauldrons are hinged to move with the arms rather than impede them Combining this level of movement with the poseable soft goods allows for some of the best poses so far in the Star Wars Black Series, and even in these images I have not scratched the surface of how Starkiller can pose and stand. with 2023 Galen Marek Starkiller figure (right) While Lord Starkiller is not unmasked in the game, I can confirm that the Galen Marek head from the original release does work with the Sith Stalker version. There are differences in the neck peg, so you will need to swap the head or simply have the unmasked head sit on the neck without articulation. Galen Marek Starkiller head not included There is much noise already from collectors on how Lord Starkiller may be the best ever Star Wars Black Series figure. I wouldn’t want to claim that, but it is certainly a step on in terms of features than your standard releases through the game-changing wired soft goods. And the depth and accuracy of the lightsaber trophy accessories is equally impressive. There are, however, some issues, notably that fabric care label that is quite intrusive even if its inclusion was likely out of Hasbro’s control. It is also noted that despite the character's other Force Powers in the game, the lack of any Force Lightning or Force Push effects may also be disappointing to some, considering they already exist in the line. Considering that only two lightsabers can be used at any one time, the inclusion of six blades feels excessive, particularly when they are all the same colour, and I might have traded four of these out for some other effect pieces, which might have also included the ‘Swoosh’ blades Hasbro has been very keen on including recently. That all being said, for the RRP of £33.99 here in the UK, you are getting one hell of a figure and one that expands the Gaming Greats line and the Force Unleashed series out further, as well as giving a statement display for fans of that genre.
