  • NYCC 2024: HasLab Ghostbusters Plasma Series Ectomobile Anniversary Edition

As was presumed , the Hasbro Ghostbusters HasLab project announced at NYCC 2024 was a 6-inch scale ECTO-1 for the Plasma Series figures. The crowfunding project features two options that celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Ghostbusters movie and the 35th Anniversary of the sequel, Ghostbusters II. The standard package includes ECTO-1 from the first movie complete with lights and sounds. Included in the set are new Plasma Series figures of Slimer and the Library Ghost both featuring clear display stands. Further accessories include the gurney for the Proton Packs (not included) and some library books and accessories for the Library Ghost. The markings for ECTO-1 are included as a decal sheet for application. Or you can go for the deluxe release that features everything mentioned above plus a conversion kit to display the HasLab project as ECTO-1A from Ghostbusters 2, this includes a decal sheet for that iteration of the car as well as alternative hub caps, rear bumper, and number plates. The deluxe release also ups the figure count with all four of the Ghostbusters in their darker GB2 uniform. You get four Proton Packs with proton streams as well as two Slime Blowers. Other accessories that are a nod to the film include a promotional GB2mug, balloon (for the kids), and a Toaster. The basic set including the car and two figures is £324.99 in the UK ($324.99) The deluxe set including the car and six figures is £399.99 in the UK ($399.99) A total of 12,000 units is required across both versions of the car for the project to go into production and you have until the 2nd of December 2024 to pledge your support. And if the project is fully backed within the first 14 days there is an early-bird bonus figure of Lewis Tulley in his Ghostbusters gear from GB2, complete with ear muffs. Shortly after the backing window closes - and assuming the project funds in full - you will be charged the full amount. The project will ship out to you no later than December 2025. You can read more and back the project at Hasbro Pulse where available in your territory. We've added the project and its associated figures to our Hasbro Collector Database 2024 is an important year for the Ghostbusters franchise, seeing the release of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and celebrating not one but two milestone anniversaries: the 40th Anniversary of Ghostbusters and the 35th Anniversary of Ghostbusters II! We’d already saved the collecting world with the first-ever Ghostbusters HasLab, the Plasma Series Spengler’s Proton Pack (no longer available), and came back strong with an ambitious sequel known as the second-ever Ghostbusters HasLab, the Two in the Box Ghost Trap & P.K.E. Meter (no longer available). But we were at a cross-rip—er, a crossroads—regarding the third-ever Ghostbusters HasLab. How would we trap the perfect paranormal follow-up? Unfortunately, nobody could agree on any one idea. There was a lot of bickering, even more name calling, and believe it or not, no less than three atomic-weight-of-cobalt wedgies. At the end of the day, we just couldn’t believe that things had gotten so bad in the HasLab Lab that there was no way back. Because there were a few sparks of sweet humanity left in that burned-out workshop. We just had to figure out a way to mobilise it! We needed something no one had ever done before, something that would blow the doors off the competition, and something that would really get the fandom’s collective engine revving. We’re beyond proud to announce the first-ever 15-cm-scale Ectomobile ever. EVER! And with both a base and deluxe model available, you get to choose your ride!
