"We can't get to you! I suggest you get to a ship as soon as you can!" Summer 2026 saw us welcoming two more Clone Commanders to the Star Wars Black Series collection. Clone Commander Thorn and Clone Commander Doom were both Fan Channel Exclusive releases based on their Clone Wars appearances. Not a wave as such, the figures were announced together but released separately (at least here in the UK), with Clone Commander Doom arriving first in early August, followed by Clone Commander Thorn in very early September. Clone Commander Thorn is number 24 in The Clone Wars Galaxy Collection and arrives in the matt black packaging, with the Clone Wars yellow accent colour across the character name, the source material, and on the side artwork. This imagery shows Thorn holding his mini-gun and looking towards the camera with a backdrop featuring the landing pad and buildings from Scipio. This artwork connects in the wider montage to Commander Doom and will connect onward to Gar Saxon when he arrives in Autumn 2026. The same illustration of Thorn is used again on the back of the box alongside the usual supporting text that talks about his key storyline as he escorts Senator Amidala to Scipio, and how he faced off against a Separatist droid assault. Thorn and his accessories are set in the usual inner tray, with a colour-coordinated cardboard backdrop using the same yellow as the box highlights, but also incorporating the same Scipio landing pad and entryway as the main artwork. Thorn is built onto the newest Clone Trooper body where the armoured panels are cast in white and are then connected at the joints, which are black plastic and ribbed to represent the Clone’s undersuit. Painting across the black and white sections is then virtually zero, and each armoured panel is therefore crisp and defined with no overpainting or paint bleed from one area to another. The red paintwork of the Coruscant Guards is applied over the white of the armour. This includes fully red shoulder pauldrons, the left of which features a grey flexi aerial. The upper chest is painted red around a silver rank badge with red, blue and black painted squares. Elbow armour is red, just under two rings painted around the biceps and done so as though hand-painted by Thorn himself, with rough edges and wear and tear. The legs include fully red knee armour, shins, and feet - the latter then returning to the white at the soles, and you can see here how the white is the colour added over the red, as it holds a pink hue. Thorn is wearing a kama shirt which is connected by a belt cast in red and left red around the entire circumference and across the pouches, with the exception of the rear circular canister, which is painted white. The belt also features slung holsters in grey which hang down from the belt and lie flat against the kama shirt. The skirt has a glossy, almost plastic finish, but is in fact soft goods with a red trim incorporated around each of the exposed edges. The way Thorn is packed can lead to some kinking and creasing of the skirt; you can see it on the figure we had delivered, where one side has been pinched together. The helmet for Thorn is a relatively standard Commander helmet with incorporated visor and comms equipment. This is new to the line, shared with Commander Doom, and an upgrade on the similar Commander Cody lid. It is white in base colouring, with a red faceplate and black visor. The patterning around the face, visor, and over the top of the helmet is impressive and likely printed. These pattern lines sit under the visor around the mouthpiece, across the top of the visor, and back over each side of the main dome of the helmet. There is no unmasked version of Thorn; the helmet is just that, and there is no head underneath, painted or otherwise. Thorn’s articulation is, like all modern Clones, built around the armour components, and there are 19 points in total, all of which are pinless. The range of the figure is impressive, with the legs able to kneel or sit, the Kama skirt in soft goods moving with the legs as they are posed. The knee armour is left floating on the knee joint, and when the knees are bent, the armour can be posed in the right place. The arms with butterfly shoulders can extend out and up; the shoulder pauldrons are hinged to move with them. The elbows bend to 90 degrees, and the wrists are hinged to move vertically, not horizontally, so they can aim the blasters much more naturally. The torso includes a ball joint for leaning in or backward movement, while the neck is dual-jointed and the head is able to rotate and pivot on any axis. Thorn comes with two DC-17 blaster pistols, the standard weaponry for most Clone Commanders, and like all the predecessor releases, they are cast in black with no paint decor. The weapons can be holstered when not in use, or held in either hand, with both hands including a flexible trigger finger. For most collectors, the DC-17s will likely live in Thorn’s holster, and he will be displayed with the other included weapon: the Z-6 rotary blaster cannon (nicknamed "The Hammer"), which is the rapid-fire blaster cannon he wields fighting off the Separatists on Scipio until he is overwhelmed. This is brand new to the line, but is already getting a re-use with the upcoming Hardcase figure in the 2-pack with Dogma. It is a silver/grey finish in the main, with the central vented section in black. Behind this is a brown/gold power core and ahead of it a similarly coloured central barrel set within the rails of the outer casing. The weapon is held by a rear grip, with a hinged handle also fitted just ahead of the rear power cell, which is gripped by the other hand to swing the weapon up and into firing position. Thorn’s articulation allows the weapon to be posed out as though firing, slung low as though in a ready position, or raised upwards. There is even sufficient arm articulation for slinging it back over his shoulder as he moves position or surveys the damage he has just wrought. As a Fan Channel pairing, Doom and Thorn are essentially the same figure but delivered in wildly variant looks that are accurate to their Clone Wars episodes and with a level of decor complexity we don’t usually see in standard releases. While Doom has better weathering, Thorn boasts crisper and more intricate detailing, particularly on the helmet. Thorn also boasts the enormous Z-6 rotary blaster, which adds some much-needed weapon variation to a Clone Wars-era display that has been dominated by the three types of DC blaster weapons for some time. Like Doom, there is no real flaws to Thorn as a figure. Proportionally, he is great, designed to be a live-action version of Thorn rather than taken from the animation style for The Clone Wars. Decor, as mentioned, is impressive, and the articulation and accessories give him plenty of display variation. The figure is available at the time of our review, but certainly feels like a figure that will sell through quickly, and that will go on to be highly sought after on the secondary market. One to consider grabbing while you can. Hiya Toys have announced the arrival of Megaguirus to their Godzilla line of figures. From the movie Godzilla vs. Megaguirus (2000), this new Hiya Megaguirus measures 24.5cm across and is fully articulated, including the wings. The figure also comes with a display stand for the flight poses. It is a general release and is expected to ship in Q4 (October to December) of 2027. Hasbro's September Marvel Legends Fan Stream took place on the 10th of September 2026. The Fan Stream kicked off with some clarification of the arrangements for the Avengers: Doomsday Fantastic Four figures. These will go live for purchase at Walmart stores in the US and online as of the 1st of October 2026. There was a full wave reveal in the Mini-comics series. The wave includes Hawkeye, Elsa Bloodstone, Earth X Captain America, Elektra, Spider-Man (Doom Suit), and Acroyear from Micronauts. Some of these were shown at SDCC in July, but we now have the full lineup. The wave is carded rather than being boxed and each figure comes with a mini-comic accessory. The wave opens for pre-order on the 6th of October as a general release wave, and it should ship soon after in the Autumn. Up next and thinking about Christmas, we have a new Festive Spider-Man figure featuring Spidey in a Santa jacket with a removable Santa hat. There is also extra hands and a selection of presents. And finally, we had a full retro-carded Spider-Man wave unveiled, including Mary Jane Watson, Aunt May, Smythe, and Carnage who comes on his own special card. "I'd like you to meet Commander Colt of the Rancor Battalion." Rancor Battalion, and in particular its ARC Troopers Colt, Havoc, and Blitz, were first introduced during Season 3 of The Clone Wars, were part of two of the Season 3 episodes, and would go on to make a return in Season 4. While we’ve had plenty of ARC Troopers in the Star Wars Black Series, we’ve not had a multi-pack or any of the Rancor Battalion troopers until it was announced in June 2026 that Hasbro were releasing a Fan Channel Battle Pack containing Colt, Havoc and Blitz in the Black Series. While initially expected in August, it was early September when the set started shipping via Fan Channel retailers in the UK. The Rancor Battalion Battle Pack is the first-ever 3-pack from The Clone Wars, and it comes in a triple-figure extra-wide black matt box with yellow highlight colour, as attributed to the Clone Wars Galaxy Series Collection. This yellow colouring is used on the front text, including a new ‘call out’ that sits on top of, and springs out of, the yellow trim to title this as an ARC Trooper Battle Pack. There is no direct reference on the front of the box to Rancor Battalion. The side art panel uses the same yellow tone and is split into three individual images of each of our ARC Troopers included in the set. The issue here is one of colour, and when you illustrate the Rancor ARC Troopers using just grey tone and yellow highlights, it is not overly easy to work out which of the characters is which. The back of the box sorts this out, displaying each illustrated image in a horizontal strip rather than vertically, and labelling each of them under the photo. Beneath this is a large section of text which does reference Rancor Battalion as “joining their clone brothers in defending their home planet of Kamino, from a Separatist attack“. This then repeats in multiple languages. The three figures sit in a large inner tray that slides out from either side panel. This tray sits in the cardboard backing sleeve, and this also uses the yellow hue theme with a more detailed embedded image than we are used to seeing, showing the Battle of Kamino, complete with Battle Droids advancing on a line of Clone Troopers against the backdrop of the domes and spires of Kamino. While the set includes three named Clone ARC Troopers, these are all essentially the same figure built onto the ARC Trooper figure base first released in 2021 with Echo. This body has been well used since, including on other ARC Trooper releases like Fives and Jesse, but also on more specialist troops like the Umbara Trooper and the Battlefront II Gaming Greats Infiltrator. This ARC Trooper body is designed and engineered in the same vein as the standard Clone Troopers, with armoured parts cast in white, and these are then connected by black cast joints in a ribbed finish to reflect the Clone’s undersuit. The ARC format includes enhanced wrist armour vs the general ‘shiny’ and a similar enhancement with the shin armour. On top of the base armour, the ARC Trooper also gets an added soft plastic Kama skirt with belt and holsters incorporated, and the twin chest and shoulder armour with ammo pouches. Each ARC Trooper uses a Phase II helmet with an integrated range finder. While there is a sculpted head underneath, this is not painted, and the helmets are all glued in place. The individuality of each of the three Troopers is in the colouring on top of this base body. We start with Colt, who features red and grey livery, starting with the Phase II helmet with range finder that is decorated with grey to the sides and back of the main face plate and around the breathing components. The range finder has a silver shaft, but then features a red top section. Red also features on the right side of the shoulder pauldrons, the remainder of which remain in their base grey but with a darker blue trim on the ammo pouch slung just under the right hand pauldron. The updated ARC Trooper wrist armour is painted grey, with a red panel, and this red extends down onto the armoured plate on the back of the hands. The control panel on the left bracer includes painted green and white buttons, the white ones sadly being quite poorly executed in terms of accuracy and coverage. The kama skirt is the most intricate of Colt’s design, with a red and grey chevron effect throughout. This skirt is trimmed with a white belt, and blue straps, pouches and holsters. His armour concludes with lighter grey shin and knee armour with cream inserts. And around the back we have the ARC Trooper integrated backpack - fixed in place and cast in a dark blue with grey panels and greebles. From Colt we move to the blue armoured Havoc, who is very similar in colouring to the other 501st ARC Troopers. Havoc’s helmet includes a light grey faceplate, with blue markings at the side and around the base of the upper fin. His range finder is also grey/silver in terms of the main shaft, but painted blue at the top. The Pauldron piece here is painted blue on each of the side panels, with the base grey underneath, creating a border. There are also four blue squares painted on the front of the grey chest piece, just to the side of the dark blue ammo pouch. From here, the blue markings are less prominent than the red on Colt. There is a touch of blue on the gauntlets, with three trimmed lines in different locations on each side and a blue painted panel above the controls on the left. These controls are similarly painted to Colt with green and red, then two final buttons left plain white. Havoc’s skirt is grey with a blue band in the bottom third at each side with rounded corners. Straps and pouches are dark blue, as are the holsters, with the belt piece in white. Havoc has the same grey shin armour with cream inserts, but with the knee pads above fully painted blue. The same dark blue and grey backpack sits at the back of the figure. And so we come to Blitz and the deep yellow tones. Blitz’s helmet is almost the same as Havoc’s with a grey faceplate, but over this is a stripe of deep yellow that runs from the breathing vents, over the visor and up over the dome of the helmet. Blitz’s range finder is also colour coded in yellow. Only the right Pauldron is coloured across the three panels in yellow, with two yellow stripes angling down the chest plate then out to the sides. Blitz’s right gauntlet is grey, with yellow on the hand armour plate. The left gauntlet is white, then trimmed in yellow, and then paint detail added to the controls and launcher. This time, those four buttons are crisp and tidy, running from green to red, then two white. Blitz has a white Kama skirt and white belt, with the cross straps, pouches, and holsters in dark blue. Over the white of the skirt is a black diamond pattern which is arguably the most striking and distinctive of the three. The shins are again grey, but this time without the cream inserts. Over the top of these and down the centre, and extending up over the white knee panels, is a line of deep yellow, and as this gets towards the feet it branches off into a chevron design. The set comes with six blasters, all identical and allowing each of our Rancor Battalion ARC Troopers to be armed with a pair of DC-17 blaster pistols. These pistols are from the existing line and have been used multiple times across both ARC Trooper releases and several Clone Commanders. Their size does not permit any real detail other than the top line shape and having been cast in black plastic, they are left unpainted. These can be fitted into any of our Troopers’ holsters, sitting relatively snugly and securely. They then fit perfectly well into the right hands of our ARCs, where a trigger finger slips into place and the weapon sits in a firitng position. Despite having a corresponding left hand in the line - as seen most recently on Commander Doom - Hasbro has not included this with the Rancor Battalion and retained the existing ARC Trooper left hand that does not feature a trigger finger. That means your twin blaster pistol-wielding Troopers can only hold one blaster accurately, and the other, while sitting in the hand, is angled up and away because the trigger pushes against the four sculpted fingers rather than being able to lock into place using a separate trigger finger. Articulation is 19 points in total, all of which are pinless, 20 in total if you count the rangefinder, which can pivot down over the visor. The legs include stable ankle rockers, knee joints, thigh swivels, and an upper hip. The knees feature knee armour that is fixed to the upper thigh. This means the knees look particularly strange if bent and is another minor disappointment, considering the newer Black Series Clones have solved this issue with a floating version that could most likely have been swapped in here. That being said, the skirt piece, although a flexible plastic, does restrict most leg positions. The torso ball joint gives a good amount of upper body movement, leaning in and out of poses as well as rotating. The twin joint on the neck provides good head movement too, although the helmet does clash with the pauldrons as it turns, forcing it to point more upward. The arms contain sufficient range in butterfly shoulders and elbows for weapons posing, with mismatched pivots in the wrist, with one pivoting horizontally to the position of the hand, and the other vertically. At a retail price of £86.99 on Hasbro Pulse, this set works out at a quite considerable £28.99 per figure (it is cheaper if you do shop around). And despite the £30 price, all of the base figures are identical apart from the paint, and built on a buck that is now some 5 years old and carries with it at least two substantial flaws in terms of the left-hand trigger and the knee armour that have been fixed elsewhere, but not included in this set despite the high ticket price. I do accept the paintwork is detailed, more so than a lot of Clone characters, but still on par with some other 501st ARC Troopers that still sat at the base RRP for a single release, albeit often exclusive to a retailer. If you are a Clone Wars fan and/or love Clone variations, this is a set made for you. It is bright and visual, and the decor on all three Troops is crisp and accurate to the episodes - albeit realised in a live-action style to align with the rest of the Black Series releases. The accessories are as we see them on screen during the Battle of Kamino, and there is suitable pinless articulation with which to wield them. The final question of the release is if we will ever be able to complete Rancor Battalion’s ARC Trooper complement, as we are still missing Hammer. He is of course, very similar in style to Colt, so I can see why decisions were made to go with what we got in terms of Red, Blue, and Yellow; but I do wonder if there is a single release to come that finishes off the foursome as we see them on Kamino. McFarlane's next two DC Multiverse releases are confirmed as the previously previewed Sinestro from Green Lantern Corps 1 and Plastic Man from The Terrifics. Plastic Man includes an alternative pair of elongated arms, and an elongated neck and head. Sinestro will come with his lantern. Both figures include the usual display base and a collector card. The Hasbro G.I. Joe Classified Series Dreadnok Thunder Machine has finally opened its pre-order window. This is a made-to-order vehicle rather than a HasLab and will go into production based on the numbers ordered between the 9th of September and the 23rd of October. Blade has arrived in Mezco's One:12 Collective. The 6-inch collector release features the Marvel Comics Midnight Suns iteration of The Daywalker, complete with a tailored outfit, removable coat, three different head sculpts, sunglasses, and alternative hands. Weaponry includes a pair of submachine guns, three stakes, two throwing glaves, a katana sword and sheath, a belt with twin holsters for the guns, a sheath for the stakes, and a customised machine gun. Blade is a general release available from Mezco or Mezco stockists. It is due to ship between March and May 2027. The all-new One:12 Collective Blade brings Marvel’s legendary vampire hunter back to the hunt, armed to the teeth and ready for action. Three updated interchangeable head portraits capture Blade’s cold, relentless intensity, while multiple interchangeable hands let him wield his weapons, hurl his glaives, and strike a lethal range of combat-ready poses. "I don't have to listen to you, Carth! You ain't my father – though you're sure old enough to be! So keep your lectures inside your withered old head, 'cause I don't need 'em!" The Star Wars video game Knights of the Old Republic Series, first released in 2003 with a sequel in 2004, has been an area into which the Star Wars Black Series has strayed in previous years, mainly under the Gaming Greats banner. To date, figures from this source material have included more well-known EU-origin characters like Darth Malak, Bastila Shan and Darth Malgus. In Spring 2026, it was confirmed that two more KOTR figures were incoming thanks to an Amazon Exclusive Gaming Greats 2-Pack featuring the playable character Carth Onasi and companion from the game, Mission Vao. The set arrived in August 2026, shipping directly from Amazon in an outer brown shipper to protect the inner packaging. This packaging uses the same principles as all Black Series releases, with the matt black box and added accent colour appropriate to the collection; in this instance, an electric blue as used on all the Gaming Greats figures in the Galaxy Collection. This blue colouring is used on the front text confirming the character names and the source material; alongside these on the box front is the hexagon Gaming Greats foil sticker applied to the bottom right of the window. The side art, also using the blue as a themed colour, features a top panel of Mission Vao with Carth Onasi underneath. As a two-pack, the release is not numbered, and this artwork does not connect with any other releases. The rear of the box splits the images into two individual panels, and in between them is a very brief overview of both characters, talking about Mission Vao as a “former street urchin” with “quick reflexes and agile thinking”, while Carth Onasi’s text talks about his history as a “career soldier and skilled pilot”. The same blue theme is also used on the backing card inside the box, which features an image from the game, specifically from Taris Lower City, where the game introduces both characters. Starting with Mission Vao, and as with many Gaming Greats releases, there is some reuse of existing parts, with Vao featuring the torso and upper legs from Jaina Solo/Doctor Aphra and the arms from Aurra Sing. These are all in keeping with the in-game costume, which starts with that simple black sleeveless vest, over which sits a softer plastic jacket in grey with a brown belt. The arms are cast in the blue skin tone of Mission Vao, with the arm wrap on the left arm and the wristband painted black; these wristbands then join up with the black cast hands to create a gloved look. Proportionally, it is noticeable that these Aurra Sing arms are a little long. The lower body starts with the hips and thighs of Jaina/Aphra in grey. To replicate the split coloured leggings of Vao, everything below the thigh swivel is new and cast in black, and while the lower legs include sculpted boots, there is no transition in colour or finish to differentiate the boots from the leggings. To bridge the gap between torso and hips, Mission Vao is given a softer plastic black belt with a large silver buckle. The Twi’lek head sculpt is new, intended to represent a live-action Mission Vao, and based on the Knights of the Old Republic visuals from the game. While there is no actor on which to base the likeness, the head looks and feels representative of the character and includes the realism provided by facial printing to add the eye details and the mouth, and this all looks much more striking than the previous blue-skinned Twi’lek release of Aayla Secura, whose likeness always felt too simplistic. Mission Vao is wearing a grey headdress with an ornate metallic front plate, and that then extends and wraps her headtails. These headtails are softer plastic in design and extend out and then back over her shoulders to drape over her front. Vao features a single weapon and an odd choice of a Rebellion-era DH-17, which has seen previous releases with the likes of the Rebel Fleet Trooper and Admiral Ackbar. The blaster is not complementary to the Old Republic era or as seen as equipable in the KOTOR game, and it is disappointing that Hasbro could not develop an accurate blaster for her or include her specific Vibro-Blade weapon. The include DH-17blaster is the one that Mission Vao has in Galaxy of Heroes, which has obviously provided the reasoning to repack a blaster rather than making a new one. The blaster fits loosely into the right hand, but the fit is not brilliant. The hands do have a trigger finger, but not designed or sized for this weapon. There are no holstering options on the figure. Articulation is pinless, with 17 points of articulation: a configuration certainly a few years old thanks to the base figure and parts being used. The head sits on a ball joint and will move quite considerably, with the headtails flexible enough to move back over the shoulders as the head moves. The torso uses an upper ball joint, which includes rotation, sitting just above the ab-crunch joint that works with the ball joint to allow Mission Vao to lean forward or backward. The arms have no butterfly joint and are quite deep-set into the torso - remember, the torso and arms are from two different figures. That means while they are mobile at the shoulder, they do sit out from the body, and the left arm in particular sticks out a bit too much. The elbows are jointed to 90 degrees, and there is a wrist pivot, and these all combine into a few options for display, including firing her blaster. The legs include standard ball-joint hips, a thigh swivel, a rotating single-joint knee, and ankle rockers, and these all allow a variety of stable positions, including kneeling positions, the ability to sit, and wider and more dynamic stances. We move now to Carth Onasi, and like Vao, he features some key re-use with the legs and hips taken from the Kanan Jarus figure from Rebels, recoloured to match Carth Onasi’s costume in the game with black boots, grey trousers, and bronze knee pads. The belt and thigh holster strap built into the trousers remain, with the buckle updated to a larger Han Solo-style buckle, front and back painted silver. The belt itself and the attached holster are in brown, with the socket that used to hold part of Kanan’s lightsaber hilt painted out in silver and made a feature, despite it having no function. The upper body is new and includes a multilayered outfit that starts with a lighter red torso into which are sculpted some shoulder panels picked out in brown and yellow. Over this is Carth’s waistcoat as a rubber-sleeved jacket cast in orange and with painted grey fastenings. The arms continue in the same red as the inner torso, with ribbed panels coming down off the shoulders to represent a continuation of the yellow shoulder panel. Each arm ends in a plain metallic bronze bracer. Proportionally, there is a mismatch thanks to the re-used parts. The height of Kanan as a character and as a figure does mean his legs are longer than most, and Carth does look a little disproportionate at times with a shorter torso. Carth Onasi's head sculpt is based on the game visuals and, like Vao, is converted to what would be considered a live-action representation so that Carth can be posed alongside live-action characters like Luke or Han and still have the same realistic proportionality and looks. Facial print tech brings out Carth’s eyes as well as his tight-cropped goatee and unshaven jawline. The hair is plugged into the head as an individual piece; this allows for some strands of hair to sit loose over the forehead while the hairline is a crisp and clear defined line, as there is no need to overpaint one side or the other. Onasis also has a single blaster, and this one is aligned to the Old Republic era and one of the ones we see in-game. The weapon is not as detailed as the one in the game, but has the same outline with upper sights, a solid black body, and a silver-shaped barrel. This fits in Carth’s right hand or in his holster, while the left hand also has a trigger finger; this finger is extended as though pointing, so the left hand is more used for gesturing, but can just about also hold the blaster to represent Onasi’s dual-wielding skills. Articulation has 19 points of articulation but features an even older format than Vao on the legs, with pinned double-jointed knees sitting between the ankle rocker and the upper thigh swivel and hip joints. The thigh swivel provides the swivel that the knees cannot, but having it does bring with it the issue of mismatched colouring between upper and lower thighs. The knees allow the legs to be bent almost back on themselves while the ankle rockers are tight and stable when Onasi is posed. The upper articulation is the very newest format, with a ball joint mid-torso and a double-joint neck. The arms start with butterfly shoulders, which are very visible due to the way the costume has been designed, and this can look odd in some positions. Ideally, that shoulder panel/armour should have extended a little more to mask the butterfly joints. The elbows are a single rotating joint and bend past 90 degrees. The wrists move to the newer ball joints, which allows for full rotation and a broader range, but with a significant reduction in the pivot itself. If you try to bend the wrist too much, it will pop off the ball joint. The two figures pose really well together as seen in the game, while also expanding the KOTOR and wider Old Republic era display out, opening up groups alongside other protagonists like Zaalbar, Revan, and Bastila Shan. The re-use is smart enough to choose parts that represent both characters' costumes, but the reliance on that accuracy does cause some proportionality problems. This is most notable on Mission Vao’s long arms, while Carth Onasi's legs are taken from a tall character in Kanan, yet his torso doesn’t quite match. The other issues are with the accessories: Carth’s blaster is OK and at least representative of the game, while Mission Vao really needed a KOTR-era blaster and her vibro blade. There are, however, more positives than negatives, and both figures feature a crisp level of decor and colouring, decent facial likenesses in keeping with the game visuals, and good articulation overall. This Old Republic collection is growing nicely, and I am pleased to see Hasbro is continuing to explore this niche side of Star Wars fandom. I can’t wait to add Satele Shan and the Old Republic Trooper to this display in the near future, and then to see what Hasbro has planned for us next. NECA's new line for The Muppets was seen for the first time in full at SDCC 2026, and now the second of these is up for pre-order with the Ultimate 3-Pack of Mahna Mahna and the Snowths. The set will include three figures, with Mahna Mahna coming with two heads, extra hands, a telephone, and a bell with a stand. The set is a general release and is listed as shipping in the final quarter (October to December) of 2026. McFarlane's next two DC Multiverse releases are confirmed as the previously previewed Sinestro from Green Lantern Corps 1 and Plastic Man from The Terrifics. "I like this kid." The 2026 movie, The Mandalorian and Grogu, arrived to mixed reviews but included several fan favourites in its lineup, including the return of Garazeb Orrelios, the Lasat first introduced in Star Wars Rebels and then teased in live action in Season 3 of The Mandalorian. With Zeb’s big-screen debut came his second Star Wars Black Series release, adding to the existing Rebels figure from 2020, with Zeb as a New Republic Pilot. Like the first Zeb release, the 2026 version is a Deluxe release due to Zeb’s height and bulk. It was part of the second batch of The Mandalorian and Grogu figures, arriving in late Summer 2026. Like the first wave, this second set of releases came in both standard ‘black’ packaging and in special ‘white’ First Edition packaging. In the US these were shared as exclusives between Walmart and Target. Here in the UK, the white First Edition packaging could be found at Forbidden Planet stores. The special edition releases change the matt black box to a glossier white finish with a cut-in silver foil circular badge to the top right of the window that confirms this as a First Edition release. The accent colour is used on the text and the artwork, and is meant to be the same as the standard release, although I found Zeb’s colouring on the side art to be more blue and less purple than the rest of the releases I’d unpacked to date. Zeb, in either packaging, is number 07 in the line, with the artwork connecting to the exclusive Imperial Remnant Stormtrooper on one side, and onward to the Imperial Remnant Snowtrooper on the other. This image of Zeb in his New Republic flightsuit has him side on and smirking towards the camera, with his bo-rifle to the side and leaning against his shoulder. The back of the box repeats the image next to the text, which remains non-character-specific and gives only a rudimentary overview of the movie’s plot. Inside the packaging, the card back behind the main tray is colour-coded to the blue on the box and incorporates a starscape with a planet hanging at the back. Zeb arrives in his blue New Republic pilot uniform, the most predominant outfit seen in the movie and used when he is flying Mando around in his U-Wing, or in the Razor Crest. The figure is new throughout and proportionally lives up to the Deluxe billing, standing a good head taller than a standard human-size release. The flight suit itself is cast in dark blue plastic and in compound parts which terminate at the arm sleeves and just below the knees with silver-painted ribbed sealing bands. Above the left knee is an ammo pouch in a white finish with silver ammo, and above this are the flight belt and harness straps, also in an off-white plastic with silver buckles. The flak vest is an individual piece over the top of Zeb’s chest, and features details like the New Republic insignia to the top left as a decal. Under this is Aurubesh text that apparently translates as “Pull to Inflate”. On top of the flak vest is the chest box. This is grey in colour with black trim and a central panel above which are clean, crisp blue, white and silver buttons. The black tubing that comes from the base of this is a softer plastic, and it flows down and connects to a socket on Zeb’s knee. The Lasat arms and legs are a purple fur-textured plastic, translating to a pinkish finish on the palms of Zeb’s hands and on the soles of his feet. The head is similarly coloured, but with the only fur being the trimmed beard and sideburns picked out in grey against the purple skin. Zeb’s eyes are coloured, likely photo-real printed, in green, while the inner ears, like the hands & feet, transition from the purple to a pink tone. A second head is included, allowing Zeb two different expressions. The first is the jovial, smirking Zeb, while the second head inverts the mouth to a scowl and gives Zeb a more intense and angry expression. Both are good likenesses to the CGI on screen and provide the variety that very expressive characters like Zeb need, allowing the smiling Zeb to gesture to Mando or Grogu, while an angry Zeb can then be posed wielding his weapon in battle. That weapon is Zeb’s bo-rifle, and this is included in the set as two different configurations of the same weapon. The shorter of the two is the rifle configuration, cast in a gunmetal silver with gold trim and two hinged handles in a brown colour. These handles pivot out from the rifle up to 90 degrees and allow Zeb to hold and aim the rifle in one or both hands. The second option for the weapon is the extended bo-staff, which fully extends the piece, while using the same gunmetal colour, gold trim, and hinged central handles. The extended staff stands as tall as Zeb, and again fits into either or both hands for melee fighting stances. Articulation is built around the unique Lasat physiology, with 20 points of articulation in total. Starting with the legs, the Lasat inverted ankle is replicated with a rocker above the splayed four-toed feet, and a second ankle joint a bit further up, halfway to the knee. The knee itself is a standard joint with rotation, with the leg then concluding with a hip joint. While the inverted ankle requires some work to get everything in the right place for stable posing, Zeb is hugely stable once positioned and can move from neutral stances to broader battle positions. The torso is jointed at the waist with a ball joint, with the same joint between waist and torso and hidden behind the vest. These are quite springy, but allow rotation of the upper body and some degree of ab-crunch or backward lean. The arms start with butterfly shoulders, and then down to 90-degree pivot elbows and ball-joint wrists, which are a little less mobile in terms of bend to the body, but that bend can be achieved at any position. The articulation concludes with a double-joint neck that gives the broad head some level of movement, although much of it is blocked as the head buts up against the flak vest. The New Republic Pilot Zeb is an exceptional release, ticking every box that collectors would want to see in terms of sculpt, proportions, likeness, decor, accessories, and articulation. The alternative head sculpts create different looks through subtle changes to the mouth and eyes, while the two configurations of his weapon allow Zeb to be battling the Imperial Remnant. But he looks just as good posed without any weapons, chatting with Mando or reporting in to Colonel Ward. After first seeing the movie I did preferred the casual gear Zeb wore when he and Mando headed off to Shakari to hunt Commander Coin, but now I have this figure in hand I am very much sold on why Hasbro and Lucasfilm approved this look and while I hope the other version does get a release, having this New Republic era Zeb on display along with Colonel Ward, Mando, and Grogu - with more on the way. Super7 has unveiled its new line of figures from Invincible. The new line will be in their 7-inch Deluxe format, a fully articulated figure but with a reduced number of accessories, or none at all, compared to the Ultimates Series. The first wave includes Angstrom Levy, Allen the Alien, Invincible, and Thragg. Each figure is blister carded and expected to ship in November 2026.
