Super7 Ultimates from 2001: A Space Odyssey
Super7 are becoming the go-to-company for classic Movie & TV action figures, and that reputation has taken another huge step forward with the reveal of their 2001: A Space Odyssey figures,
The 7-inch Ultimates will feature Dr. Dave Bowman, Dr. Frank Poole, and Dr. Heywood R. Floyd, all in their Space Suits from the movie. The fourth figure in the wave is Moon Watcher who comes complete with an 11-inch tall Monolith.
All of the Space suited figures will come with alternative heads, variant hand options, removable helmet - with Bowman featuring both Red & Green helmets - and a character appropriate accessory. Bowman will have a HAL computer terminal and a sketch book, Poole has a SAT computer, and Floyd comes with a sandwich. Moon Watcher will also have an alternative head, a selection of hands, and two bones.
The packaging for the 2001 figures sees a variation tot he usual Ultimates boxes with a more rectangular slimline version, complete still with an outer sleeve that is coloured in the same colour as the figure.
Like always, a pre-order window runs from the 24th of September until the 22nd of October allowing you to order direct with Super7, or via a Stockist who will order on your behalf. The figures then go into production with an Autumn 2022 release date.
