Star Wars Black Series Gaming Greats Zaalbar, Knights of the Old Republic

Fans have speculated for a number of weeks now about a Gaming Greats Wookiee release after spotting some fur on the side artwork for Galaxy Collection Gaming Greats figures already announced for 2021. Hasbro has now confirmed that this is indeed the case, but perhaps not the Wookiee we might have been expecting.


Zaalbar is a character from the Knights of the Old Republic video game, a companion for Revan on his quest for the Star Forge.



The Black Series release of Zaalbar will no doubt re-use elements of the Chewbacca figures already in existence. The head sculpt looks new, as is his backpack piece into which he can secure his Bowcaster. He also includes a sword, which looks to be Bacca's Ceremonial Sword from the game.


Zaalbar will be a Gamestop Exclusive in the US, and will be available via Hasbro Pulse and Fan Channel stockists elsewhere. Zaalbar will be an Autumn 2021 release and can be preordered from the 15th June 2021.
