SDCC 2026: Hasbro Star Wars panel including reveals for the Black Series & Vintage Collection, with teases for the Retro Collection

The Hasbro Star Wars Panel at SDCC 2026 focused on announcements for both the Star Wars Black Series and Vintage Collection.
The Black Series kicked off with a focus on The Mandalorian and Grogu, and the reveal of a Deluxe release of Rotta the Hutt complete with alternative hands and gladiator weapons.
The Black Series then moved to Maul: Shadowlord and the release of Marrok from the show, in his complete Imperial Inquisitor armour. Boosting Maul's own forces are the releases of the Mandalorian Super Commando Kebris as well as Icarus, complete with mini-gun.
The single reveals then switched to the Clone Wars and releases of Mother Talzin and Gar Saxon
All of the Black Series reveals are live for pre-order as of the 27th of July and are general releases with expected shipping in the Autumn.
In terms of exclusives, the next Clones of the Republic set was unveiled as featuring Ahsoka Tano and ARC Trooper Jesse. This will be a Hasbro Pulse exclusive with stock going into Disney Stores at a later date. This will arrive in the Autumn. ARC Trooper Jesse is also getting a Black Series roleplay helmet release.
The panel closed with the news that the Black Series Galaxy Collection is coming to an end and we will move to new Phase 5 packaging with a 6-figure wave, the first figure of which is confirmed as an Episode I Queen Amidala.
In the Vintage Collection, there were also offerings for The Mandalorian and Grogu with a new INT-4 release as seen in the movie, along with the Imperial Remnant Warlord. The Vintage Collection is also getting a Rotta the Hutt, and like the Black Series version, this comes with extra hands and gladiator weapons.
Continuing the Vintage Collection 'Battle of Geonosis' theme that ties in with the HasLab Gunship, we have new single mainline releases of a Super Battle Droid, B1 Battle Droid Commander, Episode II Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padme Amidala, and Episode II Anakin Skywalker. These are Autumn 2026 releases.
There was no direct Retro Collection news as such, but a graphic did indicate a large volume of Retro figures are incoming. The blacked-out poster showed 28 individual figures plus three larger sets, vehicles, or creatures.
