McFarlane DC Collector Edition releases of Mary Shazam, Superman Earth-2, and Star Sapphire + Platinum Chase variants of each figure
As we enter the final couple of months of McFarlane's tenure over the DC Multiverse licence, there are three new DC Collector Edition figures on the way in December.
They include Star Sapphire from the Green Lantern comics, who comes with extra hands and powered effects. From Superman Earth-2 comes Val-Zod Superman, featuring a soft goods cape and extra hands.
The wave is rounded out by Mary Shazam from the Shazam! comics, and she includes a soft goods cape as well as multiple extra hand options and four different lightning effects. All three figures come with a display base and art card, and are presented in a DC Collector Edition window box.
Each of the figures also has a Platinum Edition 'chase' variant which will be packed into cases. They include Sapphire in pink & black outfit, Superman in a more traditional blue Superman costume with red symbol, and Mary Shazam in white and gold suit.
We've added all of these into our extensive McFarlane Collector Database
Carol Ferris had no time for love, despite being torn between affection for test pilot Hal Jordan™ and being attracted to the hero Green Lantern™. This emotional conflict led to mayhem after she was selected by warriors of an extraterrestrial matriarchy to wear the all-powerful Star Sapphire. About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
