SDCC 2019 Hasbro Marvel Legends new figures announced for 2019

As the dust settles on SDCC 2019 let's have a good look at the new Marvel Legends figures announced by Hasbro at their San Diego panel.

As far as the MCU goes we had the full Avengers Endgame 3rd wave revealed at the SDCC Press Breakfast, and a re-pack of the Civil War Giant Man pack confirmed at the panel - click through the links to see both of these.

We have also looked at the future 2020 releases for Marvel Legends. This article focuses on the announced 2019 releases, including the 80th Anniversary releases.

There have been a couple of X-Men sets rumoured and talked about in listings for some time now as part of the Marvel 80th Anniversary celebrations. These are now confirmed, and we start with a 3-pack of arguably the three main X-Men characters of Jean Grey, Cyclops and Wolverine. Wolverine gets a couple of head options and for the first time - bone claws. Jean Grey, teased on the SDCC 2019 X-Men comic book cover posters, gets two head options. As does Cyclops, who also comes with swap out hand so you can pose him with balled fists, or positioning his visor ready to suit. This set is due for an December 2019 release.

Arriving a bit earlier in October is the other X-Men set containing Havok and Polaris. These two do not get as many add on options but do have some bundled magical FX Pieces. Both these sets come in new vibrant blue and yellow packaging to reflect the 1990's era for X-Men comics.

We have some single carded releases too in the 80th Anniversary with the announcement of an X-Force Deathlok, complete with mini-gun and a small arsenal of other weaponry.

Similarly well armed is the new Punisher figure, depicting Frank Castle in his more modern camo combat trousers as well as Punisher Skull face paint. An alternative head with a bandana is also included. Both Punisher and Deathlok are listed as a November 2019 release.
