McFarlane reveal their new Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft figures

Following on from the Diablo IV reveals, McFarlane are now releasing the details of their other Blizzard Entertainment licence World of Warcraft during BlizzCon 2023.

The World of Warcraft figures will be the same as the Diablo IV releases, 6-inch scaled figurines without any articulation, and posed with a diorama base and cardboard backdrop. The figures will include some alternative parts to vary the look. There is also a 'Mystery Weapon' included with each set.

Like Diablo IV, there are three variants for each figure starting with Common, then Epic, then Rare figures with the latter being more exclusive and sold via the McFarlane Store, Gamestop, and Amazon only. The parts & accessories included with each figure will allow you to display one of two different classes per release. The line will launch with figures of an Orc Warrior/Shaman, Elf Druid/Rogue, Human Paladin/Warrior, and Undead Priest/Warlock.

We also have some McFarlane Dragons scale Warcraft Dragons with a general release 2-pack of a Red Highland Drake and a Black Proto-Drake. A Gold Label Amazon Exclusive will also be released featuring a Blue Highland Drake and a Bronze Proto-Drake.

The World of Warcraft releases are due in December 2023.

Death offered no escape for the scores of humans killed during the Lich King’s campaign to scour the living from Lordaeron. When his grasp over the Scourge faltered after the Third War, a contingent of undead broke free of their master’s iron will. Calling themselves Forsaken, they now struggle to thrive in a world that has come to despise their existence.

The human kingdom of Stormwind forms the backbone of the Alliance. Stormwind's willingness to work with others to find diplomatic solutions stands out as one of its true strengths. Its citizens hold fast to the principles of honor and justice as they defend their settlements, and the Alliance, against any aggressors.

The ancient and reclusive Night elves—also known as kaldorei—have played a pivotal role in shaping Azeroth’s fate. Fighting for the Alliance, many Night elves today still remember events of the War of the Ancients over ten thousand years ago, when they halted the Burning Legion’s first invasion of Azeroth. These ferocious elves will fight tooth and nail to ensure their sacred lands are never again tainted by evil.

The orcs once lived as shamanic clans on the lush world of Draenor. Corrupted by Kil’jaeden, a demon lord of the Burning Legion, they invaded the world of Azeroth. Eventually able to free themselves from demonic influences, the orcs settled on Kalimdor, erecting their great capital Orgrimmar—from where they fight to find their place in the world they once came to conquer.

These Red Highland Drake and Black Proto-Drake dragons are based on the gaming global phenomenon, WORLD OF WARCRAFT.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
