Over the course of April and into the start of May, we presented a shortlist of Star Wars Black Series figures, picking both our favourite figure from each movie or TV series, and two others not yet in the line that we would like to see.
We invited you, our readers, to vote on this shortlist, but also to share with us your own personal favourites and most wanted figures.
To celebrate May the 4th 2026, we present the final results from those votes.

Our shortlist had 27 figures listed, taken from every movie and TV show to date, as well as selections to cover video games and publishing, both new and Legends. From this shortlist, you picked out The Stranger as the number one figure with over 13% of the overall vote. This was perhaps a surprise winner considering the reception for The Acolyte, but the votes were consistent, keeping him at the number one slot from day 1.
Running The Stranger close, and actually tying for 2nd place were the newly released Quinon Vos and last year's SDCC exclusive Duel on Mustafar. They accounted for 11% of the vote each. Third spot was taken by Shaak-Ti with 9% of the overall vote, leaving the entirety of the top 3 taken from the prequel era (or similar, considering the timeline for The Acolyte).
The closest Original Trilogy figure in the vote was Momaw Nadon with 5%, and for the Disney+ era, we had a strong showing from Darth Vader's 'duel's end' from Kenobi.

54 different characters made their way to our shortlist for most wanted figures, and on top of these, we also picked four other wildcards, leaving 58 choices in total. From the start, the vote was dominated in the top spot by both Mother Talzin and Darth Plaguis, and as we closed the vote, they were tied in first place, both securing 11% of the overall vote.
Second place was picked up by Master Yaddle, as seen in Tales of the Jedi, taking 7% of the vote. She just pipped the only OT choice in our shortlist to make the top 3 with the Max Rebo Band from Return of the Jedi, grabbing 6% of the votes.

Moving to the free choice section, the choices became much broader than our shortlist, with numerous characters and figures suggested. In the end, The Stranger still topped the free choice poll, but shared that top spot equally with Savage Opress, who hadn't made our original shortlist.
Second and Third spots were also tied, with second place also mirroring the shortlist vote in terms of the inclusion of the SDCC Duel on the Mustafar set. This time around, that set shared the spot with the Glavis Ringworld Mandalorian. Third place went to the Old Republic, with Darth Malgus and Darth Revan tied in terms of free votes cast.

The final category was the Fan's Choice of Most Wanted figure, and this went broader and deeper still with plenty of interesting suggestions. The impact of Maul: Shadow Lord drove the winner in this section, with the duo of Icarus and Scorn topping the free choice list and nearly exclusively requested as a two-pack.
Most Wanted slot 2 returned to Star Wars Legends and picked Darth Sion, while the final third-place slot was again prequel-focused and the Phantom Menace Queen Amidala of Naboo.
Votes like this will change, evolve, and produce different results whenever they are run, but our little foray over the past month has shown why Hasbro are focusing heavily on the Prequel era, and on the Legends stuff, despite older collectors like myself (children of the 70s and 80s) wanting more Original Trilogy figures.
The only piece on our shortlist to be realised in the month since it was drawn up was the AT-RT, which is heading to SDCC this year as a Clone Wars release (we picked it as a ROTS vehicle) and we can't wait for this one to be added to the collection.
Thanks to everyone who voted. And don't forget you can keep on top of all the Star Wars Black Series news right here, and track all of the figures at our comprehensive collector database.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
