Hasbro have announced their 2nd wave of Disney+ Marvel Legends figures coming later this year. Other than the sole figure of Sylvie from Loki, all the other figures are taken from the upcoming Marvel What If? project that lands in August 2021.
The What If? is an animated show that looks at alternative versions of the MCU we know so well. The animation style is recreated in some of the figures with the T'Challa Star-Lord very similar to the style and proportions used for the Into the Spider-Verse figures. Supreme Doctor Strange is another figure deeply rooted in the animation style. While the figures of Nebula, Spider-Man, and particularly Captain Carter are all closer to the usual MCU styling. The final figure is a Zombie Captain America.
The Build-a-figure for the 7-figure wave is Uatu the Watcher, a key character in the show. And he towers over the main characters standing close to 9-inches tall.
There is a further release for What If? in the Deluxe range. The Hydra Stomper features an articulated rocket backpack with clip-in blast effects. There is a handle and foothold on the rear of the Stomper so you can pose Captain Carter riding the Hydra Stomper to battle as seen in the trailers.
All of the What If? figures are up for pre-order as of the 29th of July with a late 2021 release date.
