The final panel of the 2-Day Hasbro Pulse Con 2021 was Marvel, and the Marvel Legends team had plenty of new releases to show us.
It started with a reveal of Knull, the god of darkness, who was shown as a digital sculpt at this stage. More details on him will follow but he will stand around 8-inches tall and come with his giant sword. Writer Donny Cates was part of the discussion and the reveal of Knull and it was confirmed another Donny Cates creation will also be getting a Marvel Legend figure in 2022. There were other early looks at figures in development as digital renders, these included a new fully pinless Vulcan figure from the X-Men. And the villain D'Spayre who is likely to be part of a future Doctor Strange Wave
The next Walgreens Exclusive is a comic book Baron Zemo who will feature his sword and a second pair of hands. The panel featured, as they often do, a tease for another upcoming figure which seems to look like Maggot.
The full solicitations were all for figures coming in Spring 2022, starting with a line of West Coast Avengers on the retro cards and they revealed the first two as Scarlet Witch and the White Vision. Both figures are re-packs of older releases with Wanda coming with wrist and hand magic effect pieces, while Vision has an alternative pair of hands.
We have a proper look now at the 20th Anniversary figures celebrating the original Toybiz Legends line from 2001. The line will launch with Captain America and Iron-Man, both of whom are inspired by the original Toybiz figure. They will be packed alongside a cardboard diorama which has a comic book cover on one side, and a scene backdrop on the other. Cap comes with masked and unmasked head, his Shield, alternative hand and some effect pieces. Iron-Man will feature an Iron-Man and unmasked Tony Stark head and blast effect pieces.
A new line of Marvel Legends figures was revealed based on the 1990's X-Men animated show. We can look forward to Wolverine and Jubilee in the line, packed in special boxes with artwork from the X-Men series. Wolverine has two head sculpts, two pairs of hands - one including claws - and his family photo. Jubilee will include two heads, alternative glasses and effect pieces.
The 3.75-inch retro wave will see a new twin pack of Phoenix and Wolverine and this is a Hasbro Pulse exclusive on special foil cards. The first 2022 wave of the retro line will feature Mr. Fantastic, Falcon, and Venom.
