The Maqio journey began in 2010 when we began selling online. In 2011, we opened our first shop in Buxton, where business flourished, but we knew providing convenient online selling was the most logical way for Maqio to grow. Combining our experience of merchandising our toy shop and selling online, we expanded our sales rapidly on various platforms worldwide. We focused on making our systems more efficient while continuing to provide outstanding customer service, with our ambition to become the leading destination for buying toys.

Within a year our online sales exceeded twenty times the turnover of the shop and so we decided to close that side of the business. We rented warehouse space, with the dream of owning our own location. Multiple moves later,we purchased a 47,000 sq. ft warehouse with plans to expand further

The consistent growth and development of the company didn’t go unnoticed by the industry, and we were nominated at the 2018 Greater Manchester Ward Hadaway 50 Fastest Growing Companies Awards. Maqio Ltd placed in the top three for the Fastest Growing Companies in Greater Manchester Small Business category. Our team works hard to ensure our stock reflects the latest trends and can meet customer demand; we are in constant contact with our suppliers to secure the best possible prices, and pass on the savings to our valued customers
