Character Toys have unveiled their latest Doctor Who Vortex Edition release with a two-pack of David Tennant's 14th Doctor alongside Beep the Meep as seen in the 2023 Episode, The Star Beast. The Doctor is updated to the prior release, now without his long jacket and in shirt sleeves and waistcoat. The decor will be the new 'Vortex' format and the Doctor comes with his Sonic Screwdriver. Meep makes their debut in the Doctor Who line and comes with both placid and maniacal head sculpts as well as a selection of alternative hands and a blaster. The set is boxed in the Vortex Edition packaging and is available immediately for dispatch exclusive to Character Toys web store . It is the second of five Vortex Edition exclusives for 2025 , joining the Third Doctor set and with three more to be revealed. The Fourteenth Doctor is presented without his signature long jacket, but in shirt sleeves and waistcoat. The head which has been recast from the previous release, is decorated in the new ‘Vortex’ Style and in addition, the figure comes with the Sonic Screwdriver accessory. The second figure is the nefarious Meep. This figure is a first for the Vortex Range with two interchangeable heads, one the ‘placid’ Meep expression and the other the evil maniacal Meep expression. It also has three sets of interchangeable hands: the first set echoes the meek ‘under the chin’ pose; the second is an ‘open handed’ pose; and third one incorporates the Meep’s blaster. It also has waist articulation and ball jointed poseable arms and elbows with internal pins. Hiya Toys have revealed their next Exquisite Basic release from the Toho Godzilla Series. The Battle Damaged King Ghidorah is based on the 1991 movie Godzilla vs King Ghidorah, and it features an alternative 'damaged' neck piece with missing head, and ripped damage to one of Ghidorah's wings. The piece stands an impressive 33cm tall with a 49cm wingspan. It is due for release in Quarter 1 (January - March) of 2026 in all territories, excluding Japan. Following the previous film 《Godzilla vs. Biollante》, this 18th installment in the series is once again directed by Kazuki Ōmori with special effects by Koichi Kawakita. In 1992, a UFO carrying people from the 23rd century appears over Tokyo. They claim that Japan will be devastated in the future due to nuclear contamination caused by Godzilla’s destruction of nuclear power plants. They have come to rewrite history and save the Japanese. In response, the Japanese government launches a time-travel mission to the era before a dinosaur transforms into Godzilla, aiming to erase Godzilla from history. Target's Summer Geek-Out event has reached its 5th year, and the first exclusives out of the traps are a set of new McFarlane DC figures, starting with the 7-inch DC Multiverse Collector Edition release of Kite-Man. McFarlane's next crossover release from The Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong is a deluxe set of Superman vs Godzilla. The set features a 7-inch scale Superman with alternative hands, as well as a smaller minifigure of Superman that scales with the 12-inch tall Godzilla. Hasbro has revealed a SDCC 2025 Marvel Legends Exclusive Gamerverse 3-pack based on the Marvel Snap digital game. The Savage Land set will feature Sauron, Rogue and Shanna the She-Devil. Hasbro's G.I. Joe Classified Series release of Crankcase and the A.W.E. Striker has finally opened for pre-ordering after a number of previews going back to G.I. Joe Day on February the 1st 2025. The A.W.E. Striker features working suspension and has seats for three figures. It also includes two hitch, tool kit, ammo boxes, gas can, coffee mutg, and a sticker sheet for customiseable options. Mezco's latest DC based One:12 Collective release is Batman as seen in Batman: The Animated Series. The six inch super articulated figure comes with a tailored Bat-suit and cape as well as three head options and a selection of hands. Accessories include Batarangs, goggles, gas mask. batmobile remote control, radio, grapple gun, torch cutter, and of course Batman's utility belt The figure is a general release available through Mezco's global store and Mezco stockists. NECA are bringing Chucky to SDCC with this exclusive figure of Surfing Chucky, based on unused concept posters from the 3rd Chucky movie. Announced as a NECA SDCC 2025 Exclusive, the Glow-in-the-Dark version of The Bride of Frankenstein will follow suit with the other retro carded glow-in-the-dark Universal Monster Figures.
