UK Star Wars collectors.... the first Rogue One product has been reported on Echo Base as being found at Asda in the UK, - put out and sold well ahead of its 30th Sept street date. The find was a K-2SO figure in Kent. More details may well follow as this story develops, but worth checking Asda shelves if you are out and about.

We have been promised another raft of store exclusives to hit stores for Rogue One, although not all of them in time for Rogue Friday. We do know that the Kmart exclusive Jyn is being found in stores in the US, and now a brand new figure has been found by Jeremy @Jermader at Toys R Us. This exclusive Hover Tank Pilot was the key imperial troop missing so far from the 6" announcements, with releases already lined up for the associated Shore Trooper and the Death Troopers. The fact that this, like the Kmart Jyn, is in hand now seems to indicate it will be ready for purchase at Toys R Us as of the 30th September. And the good news for UK fans is that hopefully Toys R Us will follow last years exclusive Snow Trooper Commander and bring this into UK stores.

DC Comic book fans can start looking forward to 2017 with these new figure solicitations that have gone out to retailers from DC Collectibles, and should then hit stores from April 2017 onwards. In the DC Comic Icons 6" scale we will get Wonder Woman, Swamp Thing and Deathstroke who will all retail for $28 in the US / approx £22-£25 here in the UK. There will then be a more deluxe release of Cyborg who will be $45 / £40 Also in the DC Icons range will be Static, also retailing at the $28 mark. And the DC Bombshells are expanding from statues to this 6.75" scale figure wave, with the first figures to include Poison Ivy, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn and Bat Woman. Finally, there is a comic book inspired 3 pack taken from The New Batman Adventures episode "Legends of the Dark Knight". Retailing at $70 in the US (approx £60 in UK) the set includes Batman, Robin and the Mutant Leader.

Even though it is only 3.75" scale, there has been lots of excitement about Funko's Dark Crystal range of figures. Funko took an exclusive Landstrider & Jen set to SDCC this year, and now NYCC fan's can get their own exclusive. The Garthim and Kira boxed set will be available at the Funko booth during NYCC 2016 which takes place from the 6th to 9th of October. The Garthim looks particularly impressive, while Kira will come with wings - something not included on the planned single release - and Fizzgig. The downside, and where Funko may fall down with this line, is the exclusivity of these larger creatures like the Garthim and the Landstrider. Any fan worth their salt will want a full set on the shelf, so although you can forgive a repainted character or a minor tweak - to hold these two iconic creatures to being US convention exclusives may do some damage to this fledgling line.

Marvel have released details of their 2017 Unlimited Plus membership package which gives the subscriber access to it's entire online catalogue of 17,000+ Marvel comic titles. This year they are including an exclusive 6 inch Marvel Legend Captain Marvel in with the pack. ​ Exclusive limited edition Hasbro Marvel Legends Captain Marvel figure (with alternate head)* not available anywhere else! The figure is a repaint of the recent release and comes with both head options. US collectors will have to pay $99 for the 2017 membership and will then get their figure and the other welcome gifts mailed to them. Sadly, there is no option for any overseas collectors to sign up.

NECA's 10th series of Alien figures will move away from the movie's and be a homage series to the Kenner Aliens of the 1990's - something that NECA are also doing very well with their Predator series. At SDCC we had confirmation that series 10 would contain homage versions of the Gorilla and Mantis Aliens as well as the Queen Facehugger. The other Aliens on display at SDCC were apparently future possibilities. This card back, released by NECA as a FaceHuggerFriday reveal, indicates that the blue Alien warrior is a little closer to being a release possibility than some of the others. This blue Alien will re-use an existing Xenomorph sculpt but in a vibrant blue colouring that matches the 1990's Kenner figure. The card itself follows the same design principles as the Kenner inspired Predator figures with a 1990's computer grid feel and the checklist type card back we were used to in the 80's and 90's

The third installment of the Go Rogue stop motion Rogue One story has been posted on Youtube. The key Rebel characters, and Director Krennic, have reverted to 3.75" scale figures in this sequence, and there is a look at the smaller scale Rebel Commando Pao.

A heads up that Smyths have 6" Black Series at £16.99, this is predominantly Wave 5 - so FN2187, Han Solo, Flametrooper etc. They have also slashed price on the 6" Jakks Warcraft figures (and the other sizes). 3.75" Force Awakens Star Wars, and Marvel Infinite Series figures turning up at TK Maxx stores for £4.99 each The Star Wars figures are the first wave from TFA, so plenty of Zuvio. The Infinite figure I turned up were Sandman and Big Time Spider-Man so wave 1 from 2015. As TK Maxx split down cases and issue 2-3 figures per store then there should be different figures around different stores.

So far the Mezco One:12 Collective collection has concentrated on the key DC heroes including Batman, Superman, Green Arrow etc. But now it's time for the range to go bad... Shipping at some point between March & May 2017, the Joker will be presented in a deluxe window box and will be packed with an iconic 1960's inspired comic base. He will also come with playing card accessory, revolver and a set of chattering teeth. US pre-orders are already open direct from Mezco at $75. The Clown Prince Of Crime has bedeviled Batman since the moment he first appeared in Gotham.
