  • Ghostbusters Select, Series 5 promotional images released by Diamond Select Toys

Promotional images have been released for Diamond Select Ghostbusters, Series 5 This final series, in terms of building the Ghostbusters 1984 rooftop scene, will be made up of the Librarian Ghost, Taxi Driver Ghost and the Terror Dog. Got to love that stack of books with the Librarian. The Terror Dog is a double whammy figure as it is packed with alternative horn options so it can represent Zuul or Vinz Clortho. This will potentially off balance the wave layout with the Terror Dog becoming a chase figure as collectors are likely to want two of this figure vs one only (if at all) of the Taxi Driver and Library ghosts You can pre-order Series 5 of the Ghostbusters Select Figures from our affiliate partner, Forbidden Planet Anybody seen any ghosts? The hit toy line based on the horror-comedy classic movie Ghostbusters is back with a fifth series of action figures, and this series is spectrally delicious! Series 5 unleashes three spirits from the original 1984 movie: the Library Ghost, the Taxi Driver Zombie and a Terror Dog! Each 7-inch scale figure features up to 16 points of articulation, as well as character-specific accessories: the Library Ghost comes with a stack of books, the Taxi Driver comes with a steering wheel and the Terror Dog comes with interchangeable horns so it can be either Zuul or Vinz Clortho! Plus, each figure comes with a piece of the rooftop diorama - these are the last three figures you need to complete the whole shebang! Packaged in the trademark Select display packaging, with side panel artwork for shelf reference.

  • Disney Elite, First Order Stormtrooper Officer is now confirmed and online

We've seen a couple of leaked images, but Disney Store have now officially confirmed the Elite Series First Order Stormtrooper Officer - listing it online and ready for order. It is a straight re-use of the original First Order Trooper, but now with added orange pauldron. It will cost the increased 2016 price of £19.99 - the same as the Rogue One figures. It should be in Disney Stores very soon, if not now. CLICK THROUGH to go directly to the UK product page

  • Underground Toys will re-release the 10th Doctor TARDIS playset in the US

The news Underground Toys had teased us about over the weekend was a little underwhelming for collectors as it turned out to be a re-release of the 10th Doctor TARDIS playset. "Introducing the 10th Doctor Play Set w/ Electronics. Never before released in the US. It's an amazing addition to the US product line."

  • Store Report : Tesco pricing the Star Wars Rogue One U-Wing at £34.95

Anyone interested in the new 3.75" scale Star Wars Rogue One U-Wing Fighter may want to check out Tesco who have the ship priced up at £34.95 - that's nearly £25 off the £59.99 price we are seeing everywhere else. (the picture below is from Tesco, Glasgow Silverburn. The product above had been re-stocked with Tie Strikers, they were out of stock on the U-Wing)

  • Mini-Meph Reviews : Ghostbusters 2016 Marshmallow Man and Rowan by Mattel

This is my review of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Rowan the Destroyer from the New Ghostbusters film. The figures cost about £12 each and have awesome light up features. The figures light up red if you press Rowan’s tie or Stay Puft Marshmallow Man’s scarf. My Dad told me these are made by Mattel and they are for age 4 or older. The details on the figures are EPIC, you can see Rowan’s pointy teeth and Stay Puft has the writing on his hat and very cool eyes and mouth. The figures don’t move that much. You can move the arms and legs and the heads turn. It is sad that there are no actual Ghostbusters to play with them, the only other figure is Mayhem and he doesn’t look like he did in the film so I don’t want him. I play with them lots and love them, I even use them at night in bed. When you press them the light doesn’t stay on if you lift your finger off so that is a bit annoying. I’d like to see them stay lit up. I give them 4 out of 5. Buy StayPuft from Amazon UK Buy Rowan from Amazon UK

  • Action Figure Stand Review : NECA Clear Stand

NECA identified in 2014 that their figures were missing a compatible figure stand, and therefore set about releasing their own version. The NECA perspex stand sits 4 inches across, and works on a peg system with the stand peg fitting one foot hole on the figure. The figure still needs to provide the stability in the waist and hips, but with the foot locked in position it does give the figure a more stable base. Although designed for NECA figures, these do also work really well with the Diamond Select range of figures. Being perspex and clear, these stands are going to blend in with your display shelf or cabinet making them more aesthetically pleasing than say the bulkier waist grip stands from Kaiser. They aren't perfect however with a very defined rim and some TM information stamped under every stand. These stands are available from any NECA retailer in packs of 10. On the current prices, these stands will be setting you back about £2.20 each Buy Now from Amazon UK Buy Now from Amazon US

  • Action Figure Stand Review : Protech Vintage Figure Stand

Protech have been producing Action Figure stands for a number of years now, mainly for the 3.75" Star Wars figures - both Vintage and Modern. Interestingly their Vintage figure stand does have an application in larger scale figures as it works with a selection of Star Wars Black Series 6" figures as well as fitting the peg holes used on the Diamond Select 7" figures. At just 2" across, this clear perspex stand is a little less intrusive than the larger NECA version. The stands work simply enough by using a peg on the stand that fits into one foot of the figure. The figure still needs to provide the stability in the waist and hips, but with the foot locked in position it does give the figure a more stable base. These stands are bought in bulk, with a minimum pack of 20 and up to packs of 100 if you wish. On the current prices, these stands will be setting you back about £0.75 each Buy Now from Amazon UK Buy Now from Amazon US

  • Action Figure Stand Review : Kaiser Doll Stand 2075

Kaiser's range of sprung metal Doll Stands are one of the "go to" models in the US and used by NECA in particular for presentation of some of their figures. Here in the UK it is a bit tougher (and more expensive) to get hold of them, but it can be done. If you are looking for a robust stand for your 7-inch scale figures (NECA, Diamond, Mezco) then this stand is for you (checkout the smaller 1175 model for 5-6" figures). Fitting to the figure will depend on the height, waist and bulk of the figure - so a Diamond Select Hulk for example or perhaps a Cloaked Movie Thor will need an alternative solution. The stand works by having an adjustable metal waist clip which you position around your figure. This then slots into the high gloss base and locks the figure in place. On some figures you will see the waist clip, so it does sacrifice some looks but is hugely effective at keeping figures upright - even under any significant "bumping" your cabinet may get. The 2075 comes in Black, but there is a White version for 6" figures (Kaiser 2001) if you search around. I guess the colour will be driven by the cabinet you are storing these in. Based on our purchase of pack of 12 on import, and these stands will work out around £2.50 each. Here in the UK it is a bit tougher (and more expensive) to get hold of them, but it can be done. If you are looking for a robust stand for the majority of your Star Wars Black Series, Marvel Legends, Doctor Who or any other 5"-6" figure then this stand is for you (checkout the larger 2075 model for 7-8" figures). • New Aliens Accessory Pack from NECA - presenting the United States Marine Corp (USCM) Arsenal

Following on from their Aliens Creature Pack, NECA have revealed they are now working on an Aliens Marine Pack containing the much requested auto guns from the Aliens Special Edition. "What do you think about a USCM arsenal accessory pack? Design in progress shown here. Let's Rock!! #facehuggerfriday" - Randy Falk, NECA It is obvious that this product is in the very early stages of development, and as per the rough layout plan the intention is to ideally include two of the Auto Guns as well as a wealth of other weapons including Pulse Rifle, Flame Unit, Hand Gun, Hicks Shotgun, Knife, Torch and what looks like a flame effect for the Flamer Unit - all of these have of course been packed in other figures to date, but the auto-guns for me will be the big winner for the pack and the other bits will make nice spares or extra pieces for your existing Marines.
