An interesting announcement from Hasbro in that they will be releasing a 2-pack of 6" scaled Porg's in Spring 2018. The release is specifically confirmed as Black Series which would be a first in that a smaller figure / accessory will be released to support the range. The US price is $5.99, which will translate to around £6 here in UK - potentially more. Where this does open up possibilities is for further sets of smaller creatures or items to enhance the range. What about some Womp Rats or Mouse MSE Droids or even using this to get us a non-articulated Salacious Crumb?

Sponsored by Review : The Library Ghost Ghostbusters Select (Diamond Select Toys) Wave/Series : Series 5 Released : June 2017 £24.99 Pros : Very good (scary) sculpt. The stack of books accessory is well done Cons : Execution of the stand is awful Series 5 of the Ghostbusters Series was never intended to happen. The original plan was for a 12 figure series, with a 12 piece diorama of the rooftop. Not long after the release of Series 1 (which still quotes "collect all 12 figures") it became clear to Diamond that they needed to add in three more figures to spread the diorama to 15 figures. While the Terror Dog from Series 5 was alway in the pipeline, it seems that the two Ghosts from Series 5 were brought in to fill in the gaps. While this not confirmed by Diamond - they were never originally touted for the line, and appeared shortly after the announcement of moving the range to 15 figures. In this review we take a look at the Library Ghost. The Library Ghost is packed in the now familiar Ghostbusters Select packaging with its transitioning card art from dark through to bright green. The image on the front of the box is taken directly from the film and rather than the Ghostly Librarian, Grey Lady or even Eleanor Twitty - as she is referred to in the movie - the character name is simply "Library Ghost". The left side art is probably the most gruesome to date for the Ghostbusters line with an ethereal look at the Library Ghosts; head floating eerily over the Ghostbusters logo. Round the back we get a full picture of the figure and her short bio to the left which talks about her role as "one of the first spirits encountered by Drs Peter Venkman, Ray Stanz and Egon Spengler" The Also Available box has images of the Taxi Driver Zombie and the Terror Dog - the other figures in Series 5. As we unpack the Library Ghost we find, for the first time, the actual instructions for the rooftop diorama. I guess Diamond didn't need to put it in every box in case fans didn't' last it through to the final series. We also get a stand and a stack of books accessory. The stand is similar to the one we got with Slimer, but this time is is black rather than clear. I think for a Ghost or a flying character clear is always the preference and I don't understand the colour choice. The stand comes out of the pack in three parts - and while there is no instructions how to build this, it is fairly self explanatory. I initially tried the shorter piece in at the base and the longer piece into the rear of the figure. In this configuration the stand struggles to take the weight. .Swap the longer piece to the base and the shorter to the figure and this seems to work a little better. It does however take some time to get the figure balanced. The stand isn't robust enough in the joints or heavy enough in the base to work in any pose and it will take work to balance it properly to make her look like she is floating. Diamond have done a fantastic job on the sculpt which not only tries to capture the look of the ghost from the movie, but also the way she acts in the scene when she flies forward with her hair trailing out behind her. Colour wise the paint is a little too purple, but it is well applied and a darker wash has been used to bring out the sculptural depth. The same applies to the hair which is a grey colouring with a darker wash. The best bit is the mouth which is a deep red with yellowed and uneven teeth. The outfit, for what it is, is essentially rags and this is a slightly darker purple than the skin tone. In the movie we didn't see too much of this robe and I guess there is a bit of licence here to protect the LIbrarian's modesty. Now what we have here is a Ghost with no legs, that means articulation is limited to the torso only. The head is the most articulated I've seen for a while and can look sideways and up and down. It even gets as far as being able to drop the chin onto her own chest and that particular looks is pretty scary. The arms are ball jointed a the shoulder and then there is a jointed elbow that rotates. This allows a good degree of arm positioning and the ethereal rags move with the arms as you pose them. You can finish off your arm up scary pose with pegged wrists which bend or rotate to finish the look. The Library Ghost comes with a very nice accessory in a stack of books. This is representative of the movie where the Ghostbusters find stacks of books just before they encounter the spirit itself. The books here reach the Library Ghost's waist and will reach the same on any 7" figure. This means they are somewhat short of what we see in the film with books stacked up to head height - a niggle, but worth mentioning. What has been done well is the way the books have been sculpted and then coloured. Each book spine is a differing colour from those either side. There is then a clear cover around the other three sides that frame a set of white pages. The Library Ghost comes with two diorama pieces. The first is a pillar piece in the usual hard styrene type plastic and painted in grey and weathered to look like stone. The second piece is a Terror Dog statue - and this is not a direct re-use from the one in the Slimed Peter set, but is a varying sculpt so when you build your rooftop the dogs on either side will be correctly orientated. The Terror Dog is a little glossier than the other diorama pieces, I'd have preferred a slightly stonier look. The inclusion of the Pillar is, like it was in Slimed Peter, a clever move to ensure people had to purchase the figure. Without that the Library Ghost might have been a figure some people missed out as they could use the Terror Dog figure in place of the statue. I do think a good Ghostbusters range needs a good spattering of Ghosts, and outside of Slimer this is one of the most iconic from the movie. I like the way the figure has been sculpted and painted and where articulation is needed the figure has it and can be posed. The issue for me is with the stand which I think should have been clear and needs to be much more robust to support the weight of the figure. Yes you can tighten the nuts on the stand, or even go with an aftermarket version - but I think Diamond would have been better addressing this within the pack. Another new Marvel Legend 6" figure was unveiled at the Hasbro panel at MCM London Comic Con. The Black Knight will be part of a 2018 Avengers wave which we know will also include previously revealed figures King Cobra, Songbird and Taskmaster. The Black Knight is based on his appearance in the 2012 Avengers : Alliance video game. He will re-use a number of the parts we've seen in the Dread Knight release from the 2016 The Raft box-set.

Sponsored by Review : Walter Peck Ghostbusters Select (Diamond Select Toys) Wave/Series : Series 4 Released : January 2017 £23.99 Pros : Great head sculpt. Very articulated for a guy in a suit Cons : zero accessories. The top coat of paint flakes off the suit far too easily Outside of the Ghostbusters themselves, Louis, Janine and Dana - the only other key human character of any note from the 1984 classic is everyone''s favourite Environment Protection Agency Inspector, Walter Peck. Walter arrives in Diamond's' 7" range of Ghostbusters figures as part of Series 4 - alongside Slimed Peter Venkman and Gozer. Peck comes in the usual Select style packaging with the card-back and wrap around side panel that holds an oversized blister in place. The card design is based on an illustrated image of the Ghostbusters crossing the streams and transitions from a dark back at the base up to a bright green. The Ghostbusters logo is positioned sideways across the wrap around with a triangular shoot off from this crossing the base of the blister. Here we see an image of Walter Peck from the movie and the confirmation of the Character Name. Like all Select figures, the whole left spine is given over to an image of Walter Peck. And for good measure there is a Ghostbusters logo placed at the bottom of the image. You can see more of the artwork on the card back with the four Ghostbusters silhouetted on a dark green background. Over the top of this is an image of the actual figure and the usual bio sits to the side of this and talks about Peck's role as a secondary antagonist in the movie. Under here is the Also Available insert showing Peter (Slimed) and Gozer. The rooftop image is floating around Peck's feet and the text to the side confirms the need to collect all 15 figures to build the rooftop. With the blister opened we find Peck strapped by twisty ties into the inner tray. Behind him is a large piece of the rooftop diorama. Peck comes with no accessories or swap out parts. The first thing that struck me as I unpacked Peck was how expressive his facial sculpt was. Usually we only see NECA capture expressions on characters while Diamond and others often stick to neutral head sculpts. With Peck (and Slimed Peter) the Gentle Giant sculptors have move away from the neutrality of a head and in Peck's case have perfectly captured that sneer that he carries through a lot of the movie. The head is a very good likeness all round for William Atherton and a solid paint job supports this. The skin is one tone but with high cheekbones and that sneered mouth, the light helps bring out the likeness. The eyes are neat, and not the usual heavy handed almost cartoon eyes we sometimes see from Diamond. The hair may be a shade too bright - more so as it is a flat strawberry blonde tone. Add in a wash of a darker shade and it would look perfect. I must admit when I saw the suit that Peck was wearing I suspected it may have been a re-use from Diamond's Gotham range - not that reuse is a bad thing if there is an opportunity to do so. Having compared Peck to my suited Gotham figures (Penguin, James Gordon, Mr Zsasz and Alfred) I can confirm that there are no obvious shared parts - Walter Peck is a brand new sculpt from head to toe. The suit is nicely done with decent creases and folds where you would expect them on a three piece suit. The coat is a rubber over piece that is added to the sculpted torso. Beneath this is a hard sculpted waistcoat, shirt and tie. Each is painted neatly with the stripes on the tie particularly neat. There is a hint of paint bleed where the shirt meets the waistcoat, but only on the very edge. The trousers are quite plain, but look and flow like you would expect. We then get a glossy pair of shoes with lace detail sculpted on top and a clearly defined sole. The suit has a nice paint effect where there is a blue colour underneath, washed over with black quite thickly. That gives the suit some definition and depth as a blue / black colour depending what angle you are viewing it and depending on the light. This paint method has one huge flaw sadly and the black top coat is extremely flakey. As you can see in the image above, my Peck came out of the box with a chunk of paint missing on his knee where the twisty tie had rubbed. You get similar issues when the joints are moved - particularly at the knees. An EPA Inspector doesn't need too much articulation - he just needs to stand and look important. Having said that, Diamond have included the usual suit of articulation with Peck - so he can do quite a bit in terms of posing. The ball joint head rotates fully and can look up, and down, and also it can be cocked to the side which further adds to the expressive nature of that head. Arms are ball jointed shoulders with rotating elbows that bend to 90 degrees. The hands then rotate, and all this allows for some nice gesturing reflective of Peck's mannerisms in the film. The only missing thing for me is a pointing hand so he can annoy your Peter Venkman figure by pointing at his chest and demanding access to the containment unit. Would one extra hand accessory have been too much to ask? The legs bend fully at the double jointed knees. So if you want to move outside of the movie and create some scenes where Peck is kneeling then no problem. The legs also include T-jointed hips, a thigh swivel and a nice tight ankle swivel. Peck is therefore one of the few Ghostbusters figures to date that has zero problem standing and staying stood up. With no other accessories or parts to talk about, this moves us onto the diorama pieces packed with Peck. There are two of them and like the others these are a hard styrene type plastic and painted in grey with some washed weathering. Walter Peck was a figure I really didn't want to start with, and he was bought for the sole intention of allowing me to complete the rooftop diorama. With him in hand my opinion has now reversed completely and if anyone is on the fence over this figure then I would say buy him now before he rockets up in price. Not only will he complete your diorama, he will enhance your collection - his promo shots do him no justice. Aside from not having any additional accessories or hand options, the only issue is the paint - so please handle Peck with care. Who knows what court injunction he will bring down on you otherwise.... I score Walter Peck a 4 out of 5. Checkout the Diamond Select figures available at Toys in the Attic

As Stranger Things returns to our screens for a 2nd series, McFarlane have revealed the first image from their 2018 offerings - the impressive Demogorgon. 2018 will see the Demogorgon get a deluxe release, with the figure standing 10" in height. The figure will be boxed rather than carded and will retail at $34.99 in the US - so expect circa £30 here in the UK. The release is scheduled for February 2018, so not too long to wait. From a parallel universe known as the Upsidedown, the monster that was soon nicknamed the Demogorgon by the young group of friends, it travels between two worlds wreaking havoc in it’s own world as well as in the town of Hawkins, Indiana. Sponsored by Review : Slimed Peter Ghostbusters Select (Diamond Select Toys) Wave/Series : Series 4 Released : January 2017 £23.99 Pros : Very expressive new head sculpt and the "slimed" paint job is nicely done Cons : articulation is stiff and unwieldy. Remains difficult to stand. Series 1 and 2 of Diamond Select's Ghostbusters range gave us the main four characters from the film in terms of Ray, Egon, Peter and Winston. With those sculpts under their belt and in order to make the range viable to take us to 15 releases and the final rooftop diorama it was inevitable that some of the Ghostbusters would be churned back out in variant looks. Series 3 got the "Quittin' Time Ray" with unfastened jump-suit and dirty paint job. And here in Series 4 we get the second re-use in the way of "Slimed" Peter Venkman. The packaging for the Ghostbusters series has remained consistent throughout, and here we get the same oversized blister on card back with the right hand side card wrapping round to the blister. The image of Peter seen on the front panel and round on the side spine is not the same as the one used in Series 2. The character name adds the word Slimed ahead of Peter Venkman - putting this release as quite a specific scene related release. The back of the box is headed the Ghostbusters logo and beneath this a full image of the figure. To the left of this is the character bio, and this text will be familiar as it uses the first half of the Series 2 text. Whereas S2 then went on to talk about Peter's interest in Dana Barrett - this version goes on to detail Peter's encounter with Slimer in the Sedgwick Hotel. The also available insert sits under the text and shows torso images of the other Series 4 figures - Gozer The Destructor and Walter Peck. The rooftop diorama is pictured bottom left and confirms the need to collect all 15 figures to give you enough parts for the rooftop. Out of the pack and Peter is laid out in the blister and surrounded by various pieces of equipment and alternative parts. Behind him sits a second tray containing the diorama parts - a Terror Dog statue and a pillar. The figure is a direct re-use of Series 2 Peter and in itself a reuse of the Ghostbusters standard body. Peter of course comes with amended lower legs as he wears his trousers over his boots. The Proton Pack remains as detailed as ever - after all it is the same one used on all the figures. The clip has also been fixed on the pack to hold the Proton Emitter. The belt also remains and looks excellent with its hanging clips and devices and various pockets - I even learned the other day that the one on his left hip will hold a Trap if you give him the one that comes with Winston (don't ask me why we didn't get a trap with each figure). The jumpsuit is nicely coloured and comes with GB logo on the shoulder, applied as a decal, and a nameplate on the chest that is clearly legible as Venkman. Over all of this is a green slimed effect that is glossy and actually looks wet. The application of this is pretty good and there is a degree of accuracy as it is applied to look like it has run down his arms and legs and it appears to go over the decals and items like the belt and proton pack. There is an accuracy question here as we assume the slime is Green because of Slimer - but if you watch the movie it is more translucent. I get the artistic licence here and for me it works, even though purists may argue over the colour. Peter gets a brand new head sculpt for this release, which puts him one better than Quittin' Time Ray. And this is a beauty of a headsculpt, capturing the open mouthed startled look Peter has it the movie after being slimed. I usually associate these expressive faces with NECA, while everyone else generally goes with a more neutral look - so well done Diamond for doing something quite different. The slimed effect is across the head also and carefully painted in lines as though it is running down his face. His actual facial features are clear as though he has wiped his hand across his face - and this is probably a good call as putting the slime effect everywhere would have detracted from the expressive sculpt. Articulation on Select figures, and on the Ghostbuster figures in particular, is not that great. While they carry about 18 points of articulation - the bulky suit arms make the movement restricted Peter has a ball joint head and full range of movement here to look up and down and side to side. Shoulders are a ball joint and rotate fully to go out to the side or above the head. The elbows are where the range of movement starts to reduce, and these bend a small distance only. They are also quite stiff and you will get paint rub on the elbows so the black joint can be seen as the grey paint peels away. This arm movement means a decent two handed Proton Emitter pose is frustratingly difficult to achieve. For this figure you can leave the emitter holstered and just enjoy the slimed effect. The legs are quite clunky with their T-jointed hips. The knees are double jointed and there are thigh swivels and ankle rockers to support the figure standing. Sadly, and like the others, Peter is very overbalanced with the Proton Pack and is prone to falling over - hence why you will see him in our review being supported by a Protech Stand. You will be spoiled for choice with hand options - there are six in total in a skin tone. Four are right hands, and two are left hands - each is posed to hold a particularly piece of equipment. These slot in and out pretty smoothly. Each hand is also "Slimed" with the same paint effect - so we don't get a Slimed Peter with nice clean hands on display. A couple of the slimed paint is positioned a little unfortunately in that it looks like Peter has green nail varnish - but I can live with that. For hands you also get four gloved options - two of each hand. These use a rubber sleeve that can be worn or taken off to give either a long glove or short gloved option. These are also "slimed" but it is less visible. The slime paint here appears to have been more watery or the plastic didn't accept the paint too well and it seems to have pooled in the grooves between each finger. This Walkie Talkie has been a consistent accessory with all GB figures so far. Its cast in plain black plastic and can be held in the hand or slotted into the holster on Peter's belt. If you haven#t read any of my other GB reviews (I mention it in all of them) the hand articulation will not allow you to get a decent "using" the Walkie Talkie position - so stick it in the belt and forget about it. While not screen accurate to the "slimed" scene - as he never fired - Peter also includes the Proton Stream effect that can clip into the nozzle of the Proton Emitter. Like all of them to date they are pretty decent - perhaps a little too pastel in colouring and it may have been better to explore translucent plastic. Slimed Peter Venkman's diorama pieces are a solid Terror Dog statue and a pillar. The Terror Dog is OK, but not as terrifying as we see in the film even when it is in statue form. The eyes in particular are too cartoonish and pronounced. There is no articulation on this piece. This is one of two Terror Dog Statue pieces - the other coming in Series 5 with the Library Ghost. While using the same sculpt could have been an option, am glad Diamond went with two differing statues so they are handed to the side of each Diorama plinth. The inclusion of the pillar is clever as it doesn't give you the option of skipping this figure and using the Series 5 Terror Dog in its place. That pillar has a positon front of the diorama and would be missed if you chose to skip the figure I am well aware of the potential frustration this figure, and Quittin Time Ray, have on collectors of the Ghostbusters series. It is however a fact that most lines of figures do survive on repacks and repaints to fund other figures. While I was a bit disappointed with Quittin Time Ray in the fact it was the same head sculpt, I am impressed with the revised head on this Peter Venkman. I also like the Slimed effect, more so than perhaps the Marshmallow effect that is doing the rounds on some exclusive versions. Compared to the non Ghostbuster figures, Peter is packed with accessories and parts and you will be spoilt for choice on posing and options. For me it has to be with Slimer recreating that Sedgwick Hotel scene. The original Venkman got a 3 out of 5. And I will go one better here as I love that expressive head... 4 out of 5 for Slimed Peter. Checkout the Diamond Select figures available at Toys in the Attic

Hasbro have certainly been doing the Convention rounds this Summer and into Autumn, and have by their own admission ensured some level of reveal at each show. While SDCC, Hascon and NYCC all saw new product, these were in the US and new reveals were expected. Roll forward now to MCM London Comic Con and Hasbro have still got some new product to show the British fans with the announcement of the full Black Panther range of Marvel Legends for early 2018. We had seen a few of these figures in various panels, but we now have a full line up for the range as well as the promotional images. There will be three movie based figures made up of Black Panther, Erik Killmonger and Nakia. A fourth movie figure, Okoye, will be the build a figure. In order to build Okoye you will also need to purchase the comic based figures from the line. These are Black Bolt from Inhumans and Namor the Submariner. There is a 6th figure in the line, the Invincible Iron-Man - bt he is packed without a BAF piece. These figures are tentatively touted for an early 2018 release ahead of the movie release in February. Our friends at Kapow Toys have confirmed they will have a pre-order going up soon.

Sponsored by Review : Marshmallow Winston Zeddemore Ghostbusters (Diamond Select Toys) Wave/Series : Special Release Released : September 2017 £24.99 Pros : The proton stream is fixed, as is the way the emitter clips to the proton pack. The stand is awesome! Cons : lacking a little in articulation around the arms. The wire on the trap is unwieldy UK fans will be familiar with the Ghostbusters Select figures from Diamond Select Toys. What you may not know is that as well as selling the same version in the US, Diamond do a slimmed down version of the figures which are usually sold exclusively in Toys R Us. This basic version comes on a blister card and does not include the diorama piece. As well as the basic range - Diamond have also done some "Specials" in this slimmer packaging, and these are all based on the end of the movie where all the Ghostbusters have been Marshmallowed when the Stay Puft meets his end. Peter Venkman and Ray Stanz (Marshmallow) were both San Diego Comic Con exclusives. The figure we are looking at here, Winston, got a broader release as a comic book store special and is the easiest of the three to track down. So far we've not had a Marshmallow Egon figure. This new packaging does take some inspiration from the larger Select packaging. The card carries the green hued image of the Ghostbusters crossing the streams at the end of the movie - although the details of this illustration is covered by a Diamond Select Brochure taped in the middle of the card behind the blister and tray insert. There is no large Ghostbusters logo, instead the base of the blister carries an insert which is headed up by the Ghostbusters text logo, where the O is the "No Ghost" logo. Under this the character name is laid on top of a yellow hatched design - reminiscent of the top of a Ghost Trap. The character is listed as Winston Zeddemore, with the Marshmallow in smaller letters above the name, T the side, just in case you didn't know, is the confirmation that this is an Action Figure. Round the back of the card we are back to what we would expect to see on a normal Select release. The card back uses the same green with darker hues design and the four silhouetted Ghostbusters can now be seen clearly. Where the streams cross the card explodes with lightning and over this is the larger "No Fraid" logo. An image of the figure takes up most of the right hand side of the card back. And to the left of this is a short bio about Winston. Rather than repeat the one on the Series 1 Select release, this text is more generalised and talks about Winston joining the team and his role in defeating the Stay Puft Marshmallow men. Under the text is the "Also Available" insert, complete with that black & yellow hazard stripe. Here we get head shots of Marshmallow Peter and Marshmallow Ray. This feels a bit naughty considering the two figures were exclusives to SDCC and are now at least double if not triple the price on the secondary market - not quite "available" in the truest sense of being able to pick one up easily. When you unpack Winston the blister pops off the card and allows access to the figure tray. Make sure you don't discard the Ghostbusters mini-brochure that is taped to the card. Inside this is a spare clear clip for your Proton Stream effect. The first, and pretty awesome, difference I came across was that this figure is packed with a stand! And it is a very nice stand too - plenty of weight, nice and glossy and it fits the peg hole on the figure perfectly on either foot. Considering one of my biggest concerns with a lot of the Ghostbusters figures to date has been stability - this thing is awesome and with DST selling these in packs, they've just made a sale providing I can find a UK stockist. The sculpt on Winston utilises the Series 1 Winston figure, so there is nothing here we haven't seen before. The likeness to Ernie Hudson is pretty decent and while most of the Marshmallow effect is done with paint there is some physical additions on the head to demonstrate the bulk of the Marshmallow. The GB uniform is well done and all the details we saw on the standard release have made it to this version. The name plate sits clearly on Winston's chest and is legible. The GB logo sits on the right shoulder and the belt is full of buckles and straps and a couple of cradles which we will get to later. After the head, the rest of the Mashmallow effect is painted in place. This is pretty well done and goes across the boots and belt also for full coverage. The suit is an accurately coloured beige and the paint finish is neat and consistent with no concerns. The Proton pack is a loose piece, but is not easy to remove thanks to the glued straps and the waist strap in particular. From this hangs the Proton Stream Emitter. Issues with the Proton Pack seem to have been fixed on this (and other more recent GB figures) and the once frustrating triangular clip now holds the Proton Emitter perfectly when the weapon is not in Winston's hands. The Proton pack remains a really nicely decorated piece with the various coloured wiring and its silver features. The decals are still there too with various warnings and labels. The bottom two of these are still a bit big for where they've been placed and there is a risk of the peeling off. The Marshmallow paint job has been placed across the Proton Pack too. Articulation is not a strong point on Select figures from Diamond and Winston is no exception and comes with about 17 points of articulation all in all. The head is ball jointed and has a wide range of movement up and down and rotating round as required. The arms are ball jointed at the shoulder, but it is at the elbows that things are a little restrictive as the bulkier arms don't allow a full 90 degree bend. The hands are jointed on the pegs that plug into the sleeves. Upper body articulation is bolstered with a torso joint and there is a waist swivel, but it doesn't move too well. Legs start with the T-Shaped joint used on most Selects. Winston will sit and kneel, but it looks pretty awkward when he does. As you move down the legs we get a thigh swivel ,double jointed knees and an ankle rocker. Even with these, Winston is tough to stand without the assistance of that peg stand. The stability issue appears to be down to the figure being off balanced by the Proton Pack. You aren't short on hand options for WInston starting with 6 different skin toned hands - four right and two left. The reason for the disparity seems to be as the accessories are designed to be held in the right hand - giving need for more options. These all plug in and out easily. With the gripping hand in place, Winston will hold the Proton Emitter securely, but with the limited elbow bend it's tough to get it posed in an action shot. Once you have achieved a two handed pose, and if you like the FX pieces, you can add his proton stream piece. This is a flexible piece of orange plastic, wrapped in a blue plastic. While it does the job of representing a proton stream, it is a little too pastel in colour and might have been better with some translucent pieces. The stream clips to the emitter by means of a small clear plastic widget. One comes with the stream, and as we mentioned there is a spare in with the brochure. Be very careful with your streams - as well as making sure they don't cross, be warned the clip end is fragile and will snap quite easily. Mine went within a few minutes of getting Winston out of the pack and we had to call on the trusty super-glue before we carried on the review. As well as the skin toned hand, Winston gets the black gloves. There are four of these, two left and two right. These slot in just as easily, and can be changed so that you have a long sleeve or short sleeve glove - by removing or adding the rubber cuff. LIke all GB figures released so far, Winston gets a Walkie Talkie. This is a plain black plastic cast piece - but with this being Marshmallow Winston, Diamond have added a splash of white to the corner. This Walkie-Talkie fits into the right hand, but the elbow fails to bend enough to make it look like Winston is talking to anyone. When not in use it slots into the front holster snugly. Winston was the only Select Series Ghostbuster to come with a Trap, and that same trap is packed with Marshmallow WInston. The trap is neatly done with a black and yellow hatched top, silver side with a black frame and some indicator lights. There is a flexible rubber hose going from the trap round to the foot pedal. This too is well painted with some yellow and blue connections and a white light. The hose is a little fussy and it takes a while to stretch it out for a Ghost Catching pose. It looks much better coiled and in Winston's hand.... two in the box ready to go (yes, I realise that is a GB2 reference). One feature I missed on the Series 1 Winston was that the trap has a socket built into the base that corresponds to a plug on Winston's belt. This means the Trap can be hung on the belt when not in use - although the coiled wire is difficult to secure away. This feature is present on other GB figures too, so if you didn't want Winston to have the Trap you can have it worn by one of the others. As a special / exclusive this is a very nice figure and actually fixes some concerns that the original release came with. The Marshmallow paint effects are done pretty well and are spread to accessories and the Proton Pack. The head has even been tweaked to give the Marshmallow volume rather than just sticking with paint. While stability remains a problem, throwing in that gorgeous stand resolves that brilliantly. The only downside to the figure is the articulation - particularly in the arms when trying to pose him with the Proton Emitter. There is also a completist issue here with Peter and Ray in the same decor relatively hard to find at a good price - and a Marshmallow Egon not produced (at point of writing this review). Marshmallow Winston is not perfect, but he isn't far off and with the current price under £25 then I score him a 4 out of 5. Checkout the Diamond Select figures available at Toys in the Attic

Soap Studio's are a new Far East figure company, established in 2014 and based in Hong Kong. It seems they have now picked up a DC licence and are bringing some 1/12 scale figures based on the DC CW Television shows. Arrow and Flash are being released in January 2018 and are priced at $75 at the US online store Toy Ninja. The figures appear to be more aligned to the Mezco offerings than SH Figuarts - these Soap figures include soft goods as well as a wealth of parts and accessories such as weapons, hands, heads and for Flash - lightening effects. We will have to wait to see if any UK retailers bring these to our shores. If, like me, you were a fan of the Galoob Action Fleet range back in the late 1990's, then Disney Stores have quite an exciting new product line for you. The new Ship and Figurine sets pair a plastic, but pretty accurate looking, vehicle with a small pilot figurine that can then be placed in the cockpit. For sale now are Poe Dameron in his X-wing and Kylo Ren in his Tie Silencer and we would hope Disney might have more planned if these two releases do well. While both vehicles include opening cockpits, the X-Wing also appears to have moving X-Foils so you can lock them in attack position.
