- Mezco One:12 Collective Punisher
Mezco are not stopping with Daredevil from the Netflix Marvel properties, and have confirmed the next figure in the series will be The Punisher. While there are no images as yet, the figure will be based on Jon Bernthal's appearance in his own series (released 17th November) rather than his apperance during Daredevil Season 2. "With such positive reception to the character from the second season of Daredevil, creating The Punisher as a One:12 Figure was a no brainer. However, the figure will be based how the character appears in his own solo series once his identity as The Punisher has been fully assumed after his origin story arc of Daredevil Season two. The figure is still in development so we don’t have any picture of the figure yet, but our One:12 Daredevil figure based on the Netflix series Daredevil has been showcased at previous events."
- Mezco confirm Justice League Aquaman, Flash and Batman for One:12 Collective
The team at Mezco have confirmed a number of new One:12 Collective 6" figures based on the Justice League movie (17th November release). We had seen Aquaman at the New York Toy Fair, but the Mezco blog confirmed he would be joined by Tactical Suit Batman and The Flash. There are no images of Batman or Flash as yet - but they will come with all the usual attention to detail that Mezco lavishes on these One:12 releases alongwith a wealth of accessories. "In true Mezco fashion we’ve taken three of the Justice League members and are in the process of producing them as One:12 Collective figures. Aquaman, Tactical Suit Batman, and The Flash will all have One:12 collective figures based on them, featuring their costumes , gadgets, and weapons from the film with incredible attention to detail. - Store Report : TJ Hughes, Star Wars and DC Collectibles
I must admit, I thought TJ Hughes stores had gone for good from our high streets - but their store in Preston has reopened and is decked out ready for Christmas including a selection of pretty competively priced toys and games. While this is older stock, I found a few gems which were of interest. In the Star Wars section I saw the electronic 12" Kanan for the first time since I saw it at Celebration 2016. He was very keenly priced at £9.99. And for the same price of £9.99 you could get the First Order Snow Transport or Finn's Desert Speeder from The Force Awakens. The surprising find was these DC Collectible 6.75" scale figures. There was a mix of DC Comic Designer and Essentials figures. From the Designer line we had the Greg Capullo Two-Face and the Jae Lee Superman. In the Essentials line we had Green Lantern and Aquaman. There was a £9.99 price tag on these also. The only other item of note was more of the Dark Horse Game of Thrones statues for £12.99 - these are already warming shelves in Home Bargains and The Works for £9.99 so I wish them look.
- McFarlane Stranger Things Lucas 7" scale action figure
Following up from the reveal of Dustin from Stranger Things, McFarlane have now unveiled the first image of Lucas. UK pre-orders are alredy up at our friends Toys in the Attic and Kapow Toys. An integral piece to the strange things that occur in Hawkins, Indiana Lucas is there for his friends. - Funko Legacy 6" returning with Mad Max : Fury Road
It seems Funko's 6" Legacy scale of Action Figures is not as finished as we may have thought? Action Figure Junkies recently interviewed Brian Marriotti, CEO of Funko, who revealed that the Legacy 6" collection isn't dead and that the next licence upcoming in the scale is Mad Max : Fury Road "Legacy isn’t dead..we will see MAD MAX: FURY ROAD soon" - Brian Marriotti (CEO Funko) While the 6" line never set the world on fire with the Game of Thrones and Firefly licences, they did have their fans - even with the suspect quality and paint quality. Mad Max is a licence fiercely guarded over the years and it is interesting that Funko have stolen a march on other companies who have been courting the licence (NECA) and look to be going to market very soon. It is worth noting the specific licence is quoted as the 2015 Fury Road movie - so while its perhaps a step closer, there is no real sign of figures from the original Mel Gibson trilogy. If you want to explore some of Funko's previous Legacy figures - checkout our Game of Thrones archive.

- New Marvel Legends of Spider-Man (fake) and Thor Ragnarok? (contains spoilers for Thor)
Three new Marvel Legends images are doing the rounds on social media. We've been tring to work out if there is any truth in these. Thanks to everyone who has contributed. Be warned the final reveal includes spoilers for Thor : Ragnarok Up first are two black and white images of new Legends 6" figures and are Spider-Man related. These images have been confirmed as fake by Rektangular on YouTube via Hasbro Sources. The other image shows a potential new 2-pack for Thor Ragnarok. And considering the content it would make sense to hold this back until after the movie has been out a while. Hela has a new head sculpt with shorter helmet horns and her eyes are not covered by the mask. Thor looks to have a varying head sculpt, and of course he now comes with Odin's staff. Consiering this it seems odd there is no eye patch on the head sculpt - but maybe that was held back and will be added. A few people have called this image out as a fake, but if we look around the figure it looks to be in a display of some kind with other Hasbro product above (see Obi-Wan Ghost box). We await confirmation that these are either fakes (in which case we will update this post) or that they are genuine and we can await the promotional images that usually follow these types of reveals. If you have any further info on these images, please let us know
- Thor Ragnarok : One:12 Collective Thor figure from Mezco
As Thor Ragnarok hits US cinema's, Mezco have unveiled the full details of their impressive One:12 Collective 6" Thor figure from the movie. While Mezco have done some DC movie figures, this - alongside Hulk and a Homecoming Spider-Man - is their first foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the previous releases being comic book based. As we have come to expect from a Mezco One:12 release, Thor is packed with accessories and alternative parts. For a start off we have three head options - one helmeted, one not and one with the "God of Thunder" eyes. the lack of face paint on the helmeted version in the above contents image appears to be an oversight and you can see the red warpaint in the other promotional images on both gladiatorial heads. Thor will get his dual swords which can be positioned in his hands, with an empty set of sheaths to sit on his back. If you want to stow away the swords, there is a swap out sheath with swords inserted. This will allow Thor to be armed with his Mace and Shield from the arena battle with Hulk. And if he feels like it, there is some lightning effects to use with the figure. All of these can be held or displayed thanks to six interchangeable hand options. Thor can be displayed on the usual One:12 base, complete with Thor Ragnarok movie logo. Thor won't ship until at least May 2018 - possibly as late as July. He can be pre-ordered now in the US via the Mezco website for the RRP of $80. UK collectors can place their pre-order now with our good friends at Kapow Toys for £67.99 + shipping. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk! The One:12 Collective Ragnarok Thor figure captures both the character’s unique physique and his richly detailed costume.
