McFarlane have shared new imagery of their Game of Thrones figures, this time a look at the Arya Stark figure who has previously only been shown as a digital image. Arya is in her Season 7 outfit and comes complete with her sword, Needle. The Catspaw dagger is also included as a second weapon for Arya. The first wave of figures containing Arya, Jon Snow, the Night King and Daenerys Targaryen are due in April 2019.

Here is a first look from NECA for their revised Godzilla packaging. The 1962 Godzilla will move from blister card to a box, similar in design to the Ultimate series figures. The new box opens up more room for stunning artwork as seen on the panels below. "Let’s get this party started! NECA have given us a Preview of the Exclusive Turtle figures heading to Gamestop in the New Year. Sadly the licence is presently for the US only so UK collectors will not be able to buy these direct.

NECA have unveiled the packaging for their Thermal Vision Predator, as seen in the 2018 movie. The figure is exclusive to Target in the US, but should be available from the UK independents.

NECA have teased these accessories for the Ultimate Roy Burns from Friday the 13th : A New Beginning. The set looks to include Roy's flaming torch as well as a clever, shears, machete, knives and even a tent peg. The following image has been shared by Danner on the Toy Run Facebook page. It gives us a look at the 3.75 inch Star Wars Resistance figures carded. As yet we aren't sure if these will hit mainstream UK retail with The Entertainer awash with older product and Smyths having zero shelf space for Star Wars at present.

Welcome to our review of the Marvel Legends First Ten Years Infinity War 3-Pack. The set, part of the celebration of the First Ten Years of the MCU, was released in 2018 and is the 10th set of the series and is themed around Avengers : Infinity War. The set comprises of 6 inch scale action figures of Iron-Man in his Mk50 armour, Thanos and Doctor Strange. In this review we look at Iron-Man. Packaging 4/5 The 10th set of the 10 Years of the MCU releases brings us right up to date with an Infinity War based pack containing the main protagonists of the battle on Titan - Iron-Man, Thanos and Doctor Strange. Like all the 10 Years of MCU packs the usual scooped sided Marvel Legends pack is abandoned in favour of a standard box with the Marvel Studios logo prominent on the top left. A smaller Legends logo sits to the side of this. The characters are visible in a red framed window, and the character names sit within this as Iron-Man Mark L, Thanos and Doctor Strange. A large Avengers "A" then breaks the frame in the centre and the movie logo for Infinity War is then placed bottom right. The top flap of the box features a neat grey Marvel Studios The First Ten Years print, similar to the Black Series shadow text. The Iron-Man does of course include a light up chest feature, and to allow people to test this there is a circular cut out in the front of the box so you can press the button and light that arc reactor. The two side spines carry further images and info. The right spine carries some images from Infinity War in individual panels as well as the movies logo. These line up with the other 10 Years releases to make a full montage of the MCU as seen from 2008 to 2018. The left spine has a bold red panel into which is written a synopsis of Infinity War. We also see the numbering for this box as Legends 10 at the base of this panel. "A THREAT HAS EMERGED FROM THE COSMOS AS THANOS, A RUTHLESS WARRIOR, PLANS TO COLLECT ALL OF THE INFINITY STONES. JOINED BY HIS FORMIDABLE ALLIES, HE WILL BE NEAR-UNSTOPPABLE AT ACHIEVING HIS GOAL. "IRON MAN MARK L After being an integral part of the Avengers team from the start, Tony Stark finds himself divided from Earth's mightiest Heroes. But now, faced with an imminent deadly threat unlike any he has ever encountered, Stark will be forced to call upon some familiar faces and battle alongside some new allies" Paint & Sculpt 2/5 The Mk50 Iron-Man uses, essentially, the same sculpt for the head as the original release in the Thanos BAF line. The head is fairly standard for an Iron with the gold faceplate edged in black lining. The eyes are white, with blue rims and the rest of the head is a cast red helmet. The rest of the body is also cast in the red plastic with the gold and blue elements painted on top. The proportions are good but the red plastic does not look great and even has some stress marks in places. There are even variances in the plastic with the lower legs a completely different shade of red to the upper thigh and torso. There has been some attempt to black line the panels around the stomach, but this fails to extend anywhere else on the body which is pretty disappointing. The torso has been amended to house the light up LED arc reactor. Batteries are accessed via an unsightly panel on the back of the figure, complete with large screw fastening, along with a switch. The feature is accessed via the panel just under the chest section. This is actually nicely disguised. Once pressed the LED lights up for about 8 seconds and then fades away. It does look OK, but with the plastic around it being unpainted and quite thin the light does cause this area to glow also. While I appreciate the LED is Hasbro trying something different, this is not for me a kids play set - particularly when you are paying an RRP of around £70-£80 for three figures. I personally would have liked to see the LED dropped and the figure come with Nanotech weapons that we actually see in the movie. As this figure has the light up feature, there is a multilingual instruction leaflet included to help collectors operate the figure and to change the batteries. Accessories 2/5 Iron-Man is packed with the same FX pieces as have been doing the rounds since the Civil War Iron-Man releases. This time they are cast in light blue translucent plastic and slot into the holes in the out facing hands. While they don't look overly brilliant when Iron-Man is firing them with hand outstretched, they do look pretty cool if you are showing Iron-Man in a launching pose (with aid from a flight stand). It is therefore a pity there isn't a way of getting more of them so the feet can be firing thrusters also. If you aren't using the firing hands there are also a pair of fists which can be swapped in. These are cast in same red plastic with a gold strip across knuckles. These slot into place with a click with no issues. Of course this Iron-Man should be judged on the accessories he doesn't have. There should have been a wealth of options available for this figure considering all the various Nanotech Weapons he uses in the movie. One of two of them in this release would have been much more welcome than the light up feature and some old FX pieces. Articulation 2/5 Iron-Man has 17 points of articulation, losing a couple of joints due to that torso and its battery and light compartments. The head remains ball jointed and has a good range of movement around and up and down. The figure loses both chest and waist articulation. Arms are ball-jointed shoulders with bicep swivel and double jointed elbows. The shoulders do not fold flush to the body so Iron-Man will always present with an arms out by quite a way. The wrist joints depend on the hands being used. The firing hands are not pivoted, hence why they are always stuck out at that angle - these can just rotate. The clenched fists are pivoted so these rotate and pivot. The legs are articulated as normal with hip ball joint, thigh pivot, double jointed knees and ankle rockers. The figure stands perfectly well under a number of stances. Summary Iron-Man is the weakest of the three in the box set. The light up feature, in my opinion, adds little to the figure and the money would have been better served with the inclusion of the Nano weaponry. The light also impact articulation and the look of the figure overall. The plastic on the figure shows signs of stress and varies in colour, and where paint is applied it is not overly neat and areas that would benefit from a wash or darker lining have been left. I am a fan of Iron-Man and he has always had a bit of a raw deal with his MCU releases in the Legends line, and sadly this is the worst to date. I score the Mk50 Iron-Man armour from the Infinity War First Ten Years box set a disappointing 2/5 Read about the other figures in this Infinity War 3-pack. "THANOS The Avengers are brought face to face with the cunning, intelligent, and fierce warlord Thanos, a ruthless cosmic threat consumed with saving the universe from itself. To stop him, the Avengers must join forces to bring down this villain who will stop at nothing to collect the six Infinity stones." Paint & Sculpt 4/5 This is the 2nd version of Thanos released in 2018, and this one arrives with the grimacing head we saw through the film - giving Thanos a real menace in his look. The head sculpt is excellent with definition to the chin and lines of the face with those piercing eyes and growling white teeth. The colour tone of the head is a single colour with a touch of wash to bring out the depth and shadows. The lips and teeth are then painted, as are the eyes. The body remains the same as the BAF from the Avengers wave with brilliant gold trim around the top of the tunic and a meshed textured effect down the rest of the torso to a golden belt. The trousers are a deep brown colour in a matt finish. There is then some more golden trimmed knee armour and knee high black boots. The arms are in the same purple skin tone as the head with lined detail down each side. On Thanos' left hand is the Infinity Gauntlet. This is a deep rich bronze with the various Infinity Gems picked out across the knuckle area. It is sculpted in an open handed pose, almost ready to snap those fingers and bring about the destruction of half the Universe. The big issue with this figure is of course it is a much superior figure to the one released as a Build-a-Figure just a few weeks earlier. Fans will feel this revamp should have been the original BAF - or the choice should have been given by announcing both releases at the start of the Infinity War releases. These images show how stark the contrast is and how improved the 3-Pack version is with a better skin tone, crisper Gold on the armour and a better looking Infinity Gauntlet. In fact the BAF looks like a substandard product next to its slightly newer counterpart. This new Thanos also comes with a 2nd swap out head. This is a more thoughtful looking Thanos, and is sculpted and painted the same way - with the eyes this time looking up to the sky. For those who are interested, the heads are of course transferable between both versions - although the skin tone is far from a match and some repainting will be needed. Accessories N/A Thanos has no accessories to speak of. There are also none that immediately spring to mind other than the Gauntlet which he is already wearing. Articulation 5/5 Like the BAF release, this Thanos has 19 points of articulation and is pretty nimble in his posing considering he stands nearly 8.5 inches tall. The chunky legs have ball jointed hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle rockers. This lets Thanos crouch and even kneel, although Thanos does not kneel for anyone. Being so big and stocky Thanos stands perfectly well. Arms are ball jointed at the shoulder too with a bicep swivel and then a single elbow. Each wrist is pivoted even on the Gauntlet hand. The head is jointed on a ball and socket with a further pivot to let the head look up and down. Thanos has a T-Joint ratchet chest joint as well as rotating waist to allow the upper body to rotate as well as rotating. Summary This is a hugely improved Thanos who looks fantastic posed with any of the Infinity War figures - whether fighting Iron-Man and Star-Lord on Titan or facing down Cap and Vision in Wakanda. Yes, it is a slap in the face for those of us who invested heavily in the first BAF version (circa £125) but we can't really score him on that. If you need a Thanos then I'd aim for this version for your collection. If you have the original then I'd look out for picking this upgrade up at some stage - at the right price of course. I can find very little to fault on this Thanos other than the way he was released, and I score him a 4 out of 5. Read about the other figures in this Infinity War 3-pack. "DOCTOR STRANGE As Doctor Stephen Strange gets accustomed to his new role as a guardian of the Sanctum Sanctorum and sworn protector of the Eye of Agamotto, this Master of the Mystic Arts will soon discover how much further his universe will expand when the cosmos are in jeopardy." Paint & Sculpt 4/5 Stephen Strange, out of the box, is an instantly good looking figure in terms of his head sculpt. Upon closer inspection it utilises the new face print technology - although they have given the Benedict Cumberbatch sculpt a slight smirk with one side of his mouth raised in a part smile. This then gives the figure an odd look from some angles - with the likeness looking brilliant from one angle, and then severely "off" from a few degrees to the side. The overriding feeling is that the head may be a touch too slim. The paint/print apps are very clean with Strange's trademark beard clipped and neat. The hair is well done too with a strand of hair creeping over the forehead. The silver side streaks are also present although quite subtle, as they are on screen. The body is a re-use of the 2016 Doctor Strange, with a new paint job. The cape is a new piece too and is cast in a textured red plastic that hooks over the shoulder and round the head. The cape is removable, and that gives us a better look at the robes underneath. The main robes are a lighter blue with a wash of darker blue to bring out the folds and creases. The arms are a darker colour plastic with light blue wraps around the wrists. The trousers are dark blue almost purple and tucked into black boots. There is an element of the body being out of proportion in places, and the boots do look a bit too big for the rest of the body - although with the cape in place this isn't overly noticeable. I will have to talk about the time stone FX pieces on the right arm now rather than later on in the accessory section. The reason for this is the bizarre decision to fix them to the body. This lower arm is a new piece from the original Dr Strange and the two green translucent rings are fixed in place. The final ring, slotted into an open palm hands fingers, is also fixed. While it looks great, it doesn't allow the collector to amend the look by removing the rings. It shouldn't be beyond the skills of the Hasbro team to have made these accessories to give collectors the option. Articulation 3/5 Our good Doctor has 18 points of articulation, just missing out on a torso joint. The head is maneuverable all round with a ball joint and thanks to the cape design is not restricted by the collar. The other torso joint is at the waist. This is a ball joint so does allow rotation and a touch of forward and backward lean. The arms start with a ball joint shoulder that has full movement up and round. There is then a bicep swivel, double jointed elbow and pivot wrist joint. Te legs are slightly restricted behind the lower robes. They have a ball joint hip and thigh swivel, but can't do much more than extend to the side for a wider stance. The knees are double jointed and there are a robust set of ankle rockers. Dr Strange stands perfectly well, but needs adjustment when the cape is in place as it makes the figure a bit lopsided with the extra weight on the back. Accessories 3/5 So we know the Time Stone FX pieces are not removable. But Doctor Strange does get a few other accessories. The Eye of Agamotto is a separate cast piece in a softer plastic. Ths is cast in black with a gold sculpted pendant piece with touches of green seen beneath the crisscross design. The upper strap is grey and wrapped with the rest plain black. It hangs around the neck quite naturally. The next part is the magical shield piece, another reuse from the original 2016 figure, and to hold it there is a swap out left gripping hand to replace the casting hand fitted to the figure on his arrival. The shield piece is cast in a slightly translucent orange plastic with inscribed designs and runes across it with some flame effects licking off the sides. The original 2016 version did have some white etching this detail, but this has been dropped on the rerelease. It slots into the hand piece tightly and holds in place. Summary abc Doctor Strange is another figure tweaked to improve on the original release. There has been a few years since we saw our only other Cumberbatch Strange figure, so this will be a welcome addition for most collectors - although plenty would argue his role in the movie deserved a single release (maybe for 2019?) The head sculpt in the main is very good, you just need to choose a favourable angle - that smirk can look odd from one side. The costume, which was very good back in 2016, is well painted and the cloak designed to sit well over the shoulders. The choice to fix the Time Stone FX pieces in place is an odd one, and about the only thing that really lets the figure down. I score the 2018 Infinity War Doctor Strange a 4 out of 5. Our visitors numbers and behaviours tell us that our Star Wars Black Series segment is the most popular area of the site, and indeed it is probably our biggest single archive of figure reviews and images. When we launched the website in 2014 we had already missed the early Black Series waves, and the articles for the first year of our tenure were little more than short blog posts with very poor quality images. Like all our sections, we want a good quality archive for visitors and to that end the last 6-months has seen us completely revisit all the original Phase 1 Black Series releases, and with our reviews of Anakin, Bespin Luke and the Clonetrooper the Orange Line figures are now complete. We've also made sure every one of our Star Wars Black Series pages has an image for the figure and a checklist of releases by wave and exclusives. The next stage of our plans is to complete the same exercise through the Blue Phase packaging, revisiting each figure and gallery so that every figure is properly archived and labelled. This will take a while, but once done will give us a much better depth of content. We will then press on through 2015 and 2016 to tidy up those reviews - these will be more tweaks than full rewrites. 2017 and 2018 should already be in a good place There is also a new feature we are working on for Black Series. It's currently being built but I think it will add another dimension to how our archive reviews are presented. Watch this space...
