Pennywise the clown has been hugely represented over the past few years on the back of the 2017 movie - we've seen various versions of the 2017 clown and the classic 1990 Tim Curry version. NECA will be adding another 1990 Pennywise to their line up with this 8 inch "retro" figure with soft goods outfit. Pennywise will include two heads, alternative claw hands and a swap out right hand that is holding his red balloon. The figure is due to be a November 2019 release. Medicom Toy Exhibition has unveiled a new Spider-Man in the MAFEX 1/12 scale range. This is a re-release of the existing comic book Amazing Spider-Man MAFEX figure, but the paint job has been updated with a brilliant looking "comic shading" design. We await full details on this release.

NECA have confirmed a 2nd release of their 2019 Godzilla King of the Monsters figure, with updated lightning effect decor. Hasbro have confirmed that the 2nd Hyper Real Star Wars Action Figure release will be a Luke Skywalker Bespin. Luke will be released in May 2020 and makes a perfect companion to the Darth Vader that will launch the line. Like Vader, Luke will feature a poseable metal skeleton armature over which a rubber body is sculpted. Luke is then given tailored soft goods and appropriate accessories including his lightsaber and blaster. The figure will come in a deluxe display box and will retail at $79.99 in the US, and around £80 here in the UK. Luke Skywalker rose from humble beginnings to become one of the greatest Jedi the galaxy has ever known. One small snippet from the Diamond Select Toys panel was this upcoming line of exclusive figures based on Avatar : The Last Airbender. They will be exclusive to Walgreens in the US, and other than the graphic of three characters we know very little else at this stage.

Spotted at the NECA booth during SDCC 2019 was this new version of Burning Godzilla from the 2019 King of the Monsters movie. There was no official announcement to confirm the release or when we should expect it, but this type of repaint of the existing sculpt was to be expected.

While there were no reveals for the Star Wars Black Series or Vintage line at SDCC 2019, we did get sight of a brand new line of 5 inch figures based on the Galaxy of Heroes animated shorts. The line launches with 5 inch figures of Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO and Darth Vader. Each figure looks to have around 14 points of basic articulation. They are very similar in design to the current Disney Toy Box line and I am not sure how well the two can/will co-exist. The figures will arrive in the Autumn of 2019 (Force Friday perhaps) and will be $9.99 each in the US, so no doubt around £10 here at retail - a little more if they only hit the independent specialists. There were no specific Black Series reveals in the Hasbro Star Wars Panel at SDCC 2019. This was to be expected as we are heading towards Episode 9 and have Triple Force Friday in October when most Ep9, Fallen Jedi and Mandalorian product will be revealed. One figure we did get an update on was the fans choice Dagobah Luke Skywalker, where this graphic was put on screen showing the sculpt of the figure to date. The best we saw at the panel was a Dagobah Training Like Skywalker prototype. And in the Hyper Real line a Bespin Luke to face off against the Hyper Real Darth Vader.
