Mezco have announced a Previews World Exclusive version of their One:12 Hellboy (2019) - the Anung Un Rama edition. The figure uses much of the same sculpt and accessories as the general release, but the set now includes a fully horned Hellboy head, sword and flaming sword, a crown of flames and a BPRD tank top. The gun case and the revolver will not be included in this set. The Exclusive can only be obtained via Previews World. Orders need to be placed with your local store by the 9th of September, with the figure shipping in June 2020. Hellboy, immensely powerful superhero and paranormal investigator, is now a Previews World Exclusive! Hellboy stands at approximately 17 cm tall and features 28 points of articulation. He features 7 interchangeable hands and 2 interchangeable heads. The half-demon is outfitted in a removable B.P.R.D. tanktop, removable duster coat, and cargo pants. His crown hovers seamlessly via a discreet post that plugs directly into his head. The great beast is well-equipped for battle and comes complete with both a standard and flaming version of Excalibur, horseshoe, and a customized handgun that fits neatly in his removable utility belt. NECA have released the full details for their next Ultimate Predator, the Kenner Inspired Lasershot. Lasershot was originally a deluxe figure in the Kenner line of Predators in the early 90's and include a light up LED feature. This re-imagining from NECA includes the same electronic LED feature. The figure also comes with a removable face mask, removable wrist shield, alternative clawed glove and a firing grappling hook that attaches to the shoulder cannon. He is scheduled for a September 2019 release. "Our newest Predator figure is an homage to the classic Kenner Expanded Universe line: Lasershot! Taking inspiration from the 1990s designs, our team has created a modern tribute with extra detail and articulation to bring this Predator into the new millennium. The original figure has electronic elements and this one does too—a LED targeting eye to home in on his prey. Lasershot Clan Leader stands 8.5″ tall, has over 30 points of articulation and comes with removable mask, detachable wrist shield, flexible grappling hook that attaches to his assault cannon, and a swappable clawed left hand with articulation. NECA reveal the packaging for their next Ultimate Predator, the Kenner inspired Lasershot. The box art replicates the original Kenner cardback and even has an illustrated blister, complete with the figure, on the front of the box. It is due to start shipping to retailers in September,

Hasbro have confirmed that the new Sith Trooper, from Rise of Skywalker, will be available in the basic packaging at the Disney D23 Convention. It will then be on Hasbro Pulse and other online retailers from the 4th of September - ahead of Triple Force Friday. The figure will come in Phase 3 packaging and will also be packed in the first wave of Rise of Skywalker figures in October - so looks like no packaging change as yet for the Black Series.

Super7 have announced a new 7 inch scale Thundercat line will launch in 2020. The line looks to take off where Mattel ended, re-releasing the four characters Mattel released in 2016 with updated accessories. This first wave for Spring 2020 includes Lion-O, Panthro, Jackelman and Mumm-Ra (as mummy). They will retail around $45 each - and that will equate to about £45 a figure here in the UK. The line will then kick on from there with Super7 stating - via Tweet from their owner Brian Flynn - that there are 16 Thundercat figures already in development and they intend to release a wave every 3-months with four figures in each wave. They ended by saying "my assumption is that this line can continue for several years (and should)" Thundercats are loose! Super7 is proud to announce the debut of the Ultimate Thundercats! McFarlane have released more images for their next 7 inch scale Call of Duty action figure, Frank Woods. Woods was announced at Toy Fair 2019 and will be released on the 20th September 2019 with pre-orders being taken on Amazon US for Worldwide shipping. McFarlane Toys partners with one of the most popular video game franchises, by bringing call of Duty fans worldwide detailed sculpts of some of the most recognizable characters in the call of Duty franchise spanning over classic game titles. The following image and what it means should be taken, at this stage, with a grain of salt. It was posted by Character Toys Al Dewar on his personal Twitter account. It appears to show a very early sculpt, or cast, of a classic TARDIS console - complete with walls and opening doors. A 5.5 inch Tom Baker figure is stood with it for scale? Al has tried for many years to make a classic TARDIS console into a reality and this image may take us that little bit closer?

I took a trip into Liverpool this week (see separate posts for the specialist stores) and was impressed with some of the product on sale in the high street stores. Menkind is one of those stores I've always associated with gadgets and drinking games, but they seem to be upping their action figure offerings. Like many stores they have gone heavy with McFarlane products including Game of Thrones and the lastest Stranger Things figures. They were also heavily stocked with the McFarlane Fortnite figures, including the new Gliders which I had not seen before. There was also a healthy stack of NECA Ultimate figures - albeit priced at £40 upwards - and a big display case with a lot of the figures unpacked and posed on display (with some that had also fallen over). Disney Store haven't had much recently - with large swathes of the store turned over to Toy Story and The Lion King. It was nice today to see a Star Wars section is back with Wave 20 Black Series and Wave 1 Archive figures for £19.99 each. There were also Legends aplenty with the new Endgame Hulk BAF wave in full attendance, alongside the Spider-Man Far from Home wave (no actual movie figures left) and the older Captain Marvel wave. Entertainer hadn't got a great deal of new products, but they seem to have more stock in of the Black Series Starkiller Centrepiece exclusive - three on sale in Liverpool. They had the Kylo and Throne Room and the Rey on Crait, now adjusted again in price to £19.99 (halfway between the lower £14.99 they started with and the £24.99 they jumped too recently). There was no Han and Mynock as yet - but the Stormtrooper and FX pieces was plentiful at £24.99 (this is also apparently turning up in Matalan of all places for the same price). This visit was the first time I had seen the new basic Hasbro Power Rangers on sale - £10 each. And for Transformers Studio Series fans, they had re-stocked on the Leader Class Grimlock and Blackout - at £49.99 each.

Worlds Apart in Liverpool is part of the Forbidden Planet International family of stores and is considerably larger than the FP.com store a few streets away. It boasts two floors, with the basement more dedicated to comics and manga and anime products. The upper floors are a little cramped, but that is because they are packed full of goodies from a whole aisle of Funko Pops! with display cases to two full sections of Marvel Legends. Marvel Legends included figures up to and including the new Endgame Hulk BAF wave. They also had 80th Anniversary Thor, the Wolverine/Hulk 2-pack, the Korg and Grandmaster pack and the Captain America with Motorcycle. Star Wars Black Series had a full dedicated section where wave 21 was present - although there was only BT-0 and Chopper left. They also had all the Archive Wave 2 figures. There was a good selection of NECA product, Diamond Select and McFarlane - including some good reductions on the Stranger Things Demogorgon and Ghostbusters 4-pack. The Forbidden Planet store on Bold Street is not the biggest in the chain, but is well laid out and bright with some nice statues on display at the entrance. There was a good selection of NECA product including recent releases like the Gamer Gremlin and the new Predators. Marvel Legends included figures up to and including the new Endgame Hulk BAF wave. They also had 80th Anniversary Thor and the Wolverine/Hulk 2-pack. Star Wars was represented well with Vintage Collection, Resistance and the Black Series where wave 21 was present - although there was only Obi-Wan, BT-0 and Chopper left.
