There has certainly been plenty of reveals recently for Robocop fans across the likes of JFS Toys, Trick or Treat Studios, and now the full reveal of the Hiya Toys Robocop 2 release. The Exquisite Super 1/12 scale Robocop from Hiya comes with a raft of Robocop 2 themed accessories. They range from his Auto-9 pistols with effect part, a rifle, a wrench, and Cain's brain. The figure itself includes metallic paint and the armour can be changed from clean to a battle-damaged version thanks to swap out helmet and chest parts. There are also two face plates, alternative hands, and a working thigh holster for the Auto-9 pistol. The figure is going to be a Q1 release for 2027 (Jan-March) so there is a bit of a wait. McFarlane has shared a preview of a fourth new DC Direct Page Puncher to sit alongside the recently announced versions of The Flash and the Hal Jordan Green Lantern. This Jessica Cruz Green Lantern includes the same comic book (issue 48) as the Hal Jordan version. She will be a Red Platinum release with exclusivity shared across Walmart, Target and Gamestop in the US. The Gamestop site has her live already with an early February 2026 release. This crippling anxiety led her to be chosen as the unwilling host of the Ring of Volthoom. “I was once little like you. Billions of years ago. A man from another world. Before this relentless, eternal hunger.” In 2025, we finally welcomed the Fantastic Four to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and with the Summer release of the movie came a supporting selection of Marvel Legends figures of the Marvel First Family alongside the new Silver Surfer. That did, however, leave collectors short a main villain for the movie, as Galactus, as seen in the movie, was of such a size that a correctly scaled version of him to display with your Marvel Legends would never fit in most homes  For those who want a Galactus, there are two options at the time of writing. The first is the Hot Toys Jumbo Sofvi release, which will stand at 70cm tall (27.5 inches). This one is the most screen accurate in overall look, and of a size that dwarfs the Legends figures, although it is still nowhere near the actual onscreen scale. The issue with this one is the price, setting you back circa £330 and with stocks not actually due to arrive until late 2026. The other, more affordable and immediately available option is the figure we will look over here, Hasbro’s own Titan Hero Series Galactus. The Titan Hero Galactus is part of Hasbro’s budget line of 12-inch figures. These are often seen in toy stores and supermarkets and are hollow, hard plastic figures with limited articulation aimed at the pocket money market. Usually, the figures are a set size and are not scaled, and the articulation is usually limited to a basic 5 points, which includes the neck, shoulders, and hips. The Titan release of Galactus does, as we will see, break a few of these base principles, although it does arrive in the same open cardboard packaging, strapped onto a basic cardback inserted inside the box. The outer box uses the same aesthetic as used in the Fantastic Four First Steps movie and on all the associated merchandise, including an off white base colour, blue logo and its own unique Marvel Studios label. The front artwork shows off the main team, while the Galactus figure is shown posed in a circular insert. A bigger shot of Galactus from the movie is seen on one side of the box, with the Fantastic Four pictured on the other. Around the back, the colour scheme shifts to use more yellow tone and includes the larger version of the posed figure picture and a short piece of background that details Galactus as “Consumer of Worlds and Destroyer of Planets…” Galactus is simple enough to unpack, and once unstrapped from the packaging, we can start to see and feel the variations in construction and quality in these Titan figures versus the Marvel Legends line. Galactus is cast in a harder plastic, and is relatrively light in hand as there are hollow parts to the figure. The skirt piece is more recognisable as an added softer plastic piece, and the level of detail across the body is to a standard we might expect on a Legends collectors figure with a considerable level of cast detailing including circuit board-esque sections, grids, grilles, connectors and panels.  The body, in the main, is cast in the base plastic and is split between two base colours of a deep burgundy and a purple. Where the purple is part of a wider burgundy piece, such as the chest and the skirt section, it is painted over the top of the base red, and this is neat and tidy. Also painted is the exposed part of the face, which is a simple skin tone but holds a good likeness to actor Ralph Ineson but lacks the lines and dirt we see on Galactus’ face in the movie. The final finishing touch of paint is the glowing blue eyes. Overall, the figure lacks any wider detail we might expect and looks very clean compared to the dusty and ancient Galactus we see it the film. Articulation is not quite as basic as we might expect from a Titans release. There are 11 points of articulation in total. The first of these is at the neck, with the head sat on a ball joint and having the ability to rotate as well as tilt, look up and look down to an extent.  The arms, which would usually rotate on a single axis on other Titans, include an upgraded ball joint shoulder of sorts so the arms can be moved out from the body and rotated. After this, we get a simple elbow bend, and just beyond thi,s the rotation for the wrist and hands is built into the cut of the gauntlets.  Despite looking like there should be, there is no waist joint, and so the final movements are all in the legs. These include a hip joint under the skirt with similar movement to the shoulders. And finally, we have a single joint set of knees. There are no ankle joints, so while Galactus is stable in a neutral position, when the legs are widened or moved forward or back as a walking pose, the stability is reduced as the feet can no longer be flat-planted to the floor.  Despite the lighter-weight plastic and the more basic joints, Galactus is fairly stable once posed and has sufficient strength in the joints to hold up a Marvel Legends figure, giving Mr. Fantastic a stretch, for example.  Height-wise, the Titan Galactus comes in at just a touch under 14 inches (36cm), which makes him a lot smaller than the Hot Toys version and very, very out of scale in terms of the movie. But if we consider the practicalities of super big figures, this 14 inch version is big enough against the Marvel Legends while still small enough for most displays without taking up lots of room. In the comics, Galactus could always vary his size, so who’s to say the MCU Galactus cannot do this as well? Another key benefit is the price at just £14.99 in the UK via Amazon , a tenner cheaper than a Legends figure.  Figure Hack: Simple Repaint There is, of course, a hack to enhance this Galactus further with a repaint. This is not as complex as it sounds, and while more skilled painters will go all in and update the colours and details, you can build onto the purple and burgundy to bring out the detail. This is our Galactus against an unpainted model. He was overpainted on the burgundy with a drybrush of a dark metallic finish. The purple was then given a black wash, and then the figure was finished off with a small application of a dry-brushed brighter silver to pick out the final details. Our Galactus has also had the face and eyes touched up, the eyes, in particular, are not fully painted to match the sculpt from the factory, and you can get a brighter and wider finish with a touch of bright electric blue paint over the eyes. The face was given a base tone and a skin wash to pick out the mouth and nose, but I am not brave enough to tackle the actual face markings.  The paint used on our model was from the Army Painter series and a Vallejo Black Wash. It takes no more than a day or so to do, and that includes letting each coat dry. The effect is impressive, and he does now feel more in line with the more realistic colouring we get on our Marvel Legends figures.  This advice is given in good faith, and we take no responsibility for any damage or deterioration of your own figure. Trick or Treat Studios have recently shared their 2025 product category, and within it preveiwed a number of exciting new action figure properties and releases. They include their 8-inch Scream Greats figures, including Maniac Cop, Leprechaun, Terrifier, The Crow, The Creeper, and a couple of Michael Myers figures. Army of Darkness fans can look forward to a new set of 5 inch scale figures, including Ash. And in the same scale, a set of figures from Trick R Treat. They will be joined by figures from Killer Clowns from Outer Space and Day of the Dead In a 6.75-inch scale, we have new figures of Robocop and Clarence Boddicker from the original 1987 movie. McFarlane's next trio of DC Direct Page Punchers will feature Hal Jordon's Green Lantern, as well as two figures of the Flash - Jay Garrick and Barry Allen. Hal Jordon is as seen in the Green Lantern comics, issue 48, Barry Allen's Flash is taken from The Flash issue 123. Both of these are general releases. The Jay Garrick Flash figure is taken from the same issue of The Flash (123), but this one is a Red Platinum Exclusive available via Gamestop in the US. NECA has revealed a new Jason Voorhees Toony Terrors release with this Retro Jason figure from Friday the 13th: The Game. Jason comes with an axe accessory positioned in his right hand. "I am a Kandyman of my word, but now our bargain is over. It's time to kill you." I've been a massive fan of Doctor Who for as long as I can remember, but was introduced to the Whoniverse initially through the Target novelisations at a time (the 1980s) when there was no access to classic Who apart from rare re-runs. One of the first seasons I can relate to and recal watching as it aired was Season 25 and I have fond memories and has left me with a deep love of the Imperial Daleks, the Silver Nemesis Cybermen, and the wierd and wonderful inhabitants of Terra Alpha. I have also been a collector of the Character Toys Doctor Who series since its launch in 2005, with a love of the Classic Doctors and Monsters. And while I've scratched that Season 25 itch thanks to the Character releases for Remembrance and Silver Nemesis, the more obscure characters are not on the radar... and one of my favourites is further complicated due to a certain sweet company. My son, a fellow collector, growing up would often pass car journeys quizzing me on dream waves or box sets of Doctor Who figures and it became a running joke to include the Kandyman in these conversations. At the back end of 2025, I decided to finally scratch the Kandyman itch through the ever expanding and improving 3D printed market and purchased a solid kit from eBay (user 3DPrints123). In a weird twist of fate, I was also gifted a different Kandyman print after purchasing a Sea Devil kit for my son. This version was a little rougher around the edges and needed much more work, as well as needing to source new hands as his were missing. While I did paint miniatures in my youth, age has not been kind to my hands for painting intricate detail. Ahead of starting work, I spent quit ea bit of time reviewing source material and choosing colours as well as choosing where some of the more complex patterns seen on screen might be pared back. The output, therefore, aims to be moreof a representation of how the Character might release the Kandyman rather than a full and faithful recreation. Both models were given a clean and a flat white spray undercoat before work started. Painting for the two models took close to three months on and off. In the main colours were chosen from the Army Painter system, including their very useful Speed Painting paints, which I used on Kandyman's blue sweet textured head. The more basic model has less sculpted detail, so it was given more flat painted panels, whereas the heavier model included printed icing oozing from the chest and arm panels, as well as stripes and spirals built into panels on the arms and legs. It also helpfully created a relief spiral on the black eyes, making them much easier to pick out in silver paint than the attempt I managed on the flat versions of the more basic model. Hands were sourced from 3D printed Star Wars figures, notably a pair of hands for Boba Fett as these had a similar padding to the Kandyman's actual hands. The hands on both figures were about the most intricate parts to paint with multiple colours across each of the fingers and thumbs. I am happy with how these look, but they are still not overly accurate to the prop where the gloves were much more detailed as well as being asymetrical and therefore different finishes between the right and left hand. The heavier model comes in five parts and is assembled with a slot in motion. While these could be used as articulation, the fit is tight and it needs some sanding to get them connected. Once assembled there is a bit of play in the arms, as well as some ability to rotate the head. The legs are locked. The other model has been designed to have some level of articulation with pinned joints at the elbows and knees. As my free print was so rough at these edges, I made the decision to glue it all into place as a fixed model. As both parts came in parts, this made painting easier and allowed me to focus on one set of parts at a time. Once assembled, the paintwork was sealed with a semi-gloss coat, which then enhanced the painted colours further, giving them both a glossy shine as we saw on the actual costume. Both kits scale well with the Doctor Who figures from Character and look particularly great alongside the 7th Doctor from Season 25. Even without the articulation, they look great on display once you've worked through the pain of painting, and the lack of movement is not an overly noticeable issue. The kit I purchased is now gracing my shelves along with one of the beige-coated 7th Doctors. The other kit was gifted to my son for his display. This was my first 3D-printed Doctor Who figure, and I have certainly caught the bug. While I won't be going overboard, there are some wonderfully talented artists in the market for other characters that we would never see commercially, and I have my eyes on a Foamasi, a Quark, the White Robot and (for my son) a Vervoid. Mezco will be releasing another Batman figure in their One:12 Collective DC series. The Year One Batman will feature the standard highly articulated 6-inch scale base body with tailored Bat Suit. There are four head options, including an unmasked Bruce Wayne. There is a multitude of hands as well as accessories, including a shoe, grenades, recording device, batarangs and a blowgun with dart, and its own effects piece. You can also display Batman with the included spotlight and create dynamic displays with the larger effect pieces replicating grenade throwing, an explosion, and a series of thrown Batarangs. The set concludes with an alternative cape with mask attached. Batman: Year One is a general release and ships between July and September 2026. Straight from the pages of Batman: Year One, comes the Dark Knight at the very beginning of his war on crime. With unstoppable determination, Batman forges his path while refining his use of intimidation, technology and grit to create the mythic legend he is destined to become. Outfitted in a comic-accurate, tailored cloth suit with a wired cape, allowing Batman to strike dramatic, grounded poses straight from the iconic storyline. JFS Toys new line of 7 inch (1/10) scale figures from the original 1987 Robocop movie looks to be expanding past the Villains of Old Detroit with the preview of more new figures. We found out about the Officer Lewis and Robocop 2-pack recently, and it has now been confirmed that JFS will also be releaseing a second two pack which will include a Battle Damaged version of Robocop along with a Toxic Emil figure. The Damaged Robocop will feature two head options, two tins of babyfood, a hand gun, the Cobra Assault Cannon, and alterantive hands including the one fitted with the data spike. Emil, as he is exiting from the Toxic Slime, will come with a TV set and the Nuke 'Em game. We await the full release details on the pair. JFS Toys new line of 7 inch (1/10) scale figures from the original 1987 Robocop movie looks to be expanding past the Villains of Old Detroit with the preview of two new figures. They include Officer Anne Lewis, who will be packed in a set with a 1/10 scale JFS Robocop figure. This is the first figure to directly compete with the NECA line of figures, which had never released any other characters outside of Robocop/Murphy and an ED-209 deluxe figure. Officer Lewis will include an alternative bubble-gum blowing head and a selection of hands, including one with a coffee cup. She will also feature removable riot helmet and vest, a hand gun and a second coffee cup. She is joined by the JFS Robocop figure, this one being the clean version.
