Here are the first promotional images for the new 6 inch Ghostbusters figures from Hasbro. The line will be called the Plasma Collection and will include BAF inclusion, with the first being a Terror Dog. The line will launch with 6 figures - the original Ghostbusters of Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore and Peter Venkman. Each Ghostbuster comes with his proton pack and neutron emitter. Only Winston appears to come with an FX proton stream, which is a shame. Ray comes with his goggles, Peter with a Ghost Trap and Egon with a PKE meter. The other two figures are Dana in her gold dress and Gozer complete with lighting effects. The figures will come in boxed window packaging with a retro design including the figures name plate printed to look like the stitched name plate on the Ghostbusters uniform. The side art of the box carries a stylised head shot of each of the Ghostbusters. The figures are due for release on the 1st June 2020. NECA have released the full details for their 2nd wave of Alien 40th Anniversary action figures. Following on from Ripley, Dallas and the Concept Alien in Wave 1 - the 2nd wave brings us two brand new figures in the shape of Brett and Parker. The wave is rounded out by a bloodied Big Chap Alien. Brett will be packed with a motion tracker, while Parker is armed with a Flame Unit. Both figures look to come with the shock prod accessory. The figures will start to ship in July 2020 and this wave is exclusive only to independent stores. NECA have two new Godzilla 12 inch head to tail action figures on display at New York Toy Fair. First is the 1989 Godzilla from the movie Godzilla vs Biollante. The second is the 2003 Godzilla from Godzilla Tokyo SOS. Both figures will come in the Window Box packaging with packaging based on the original movie poster artwork. The NECA Alien reveals at Toy Fair 2020 have given us two brilliant new additions to the Alien 1979 line of figures celebrating the 40th anniversary. First is Kane in his Spacesuit. This is a re-release, but this time round we do now get an unmasked John Hurt head. The other reveal is brand new - Ash the Android, complete with severed head and pool of synthetics blood. The Predator line has two new figures from the Predators 2018 movie, a Deluxe Assassin Predator and the Light up LED helmet Fugitive Predator teased over Xmas. These figures have TBC next to the release date, so aren't on the schedule as yet. In the classic line NECA are returning to Predator 2 for the 30th anniversary with an Ultimate Lost Tribe Warrior Predator and Ultimate Lost Tribe Scout. In another huge Toy Fair reveal, NECA have confirmed they will be producing 8 inch action figures from Jaws! The two figures on display were Chief Brody (Roy Scheider) and Quint (Robert Shaw), complete with weapons, binoculars, diving air tank and a chum bucket. The labelling of each figure individually on display indicates these will be single releases rather than a 2-pack. The NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 7 inch series of movie action figures will be moving on to the 1991 sequel, Secret of the Ooze. Unveiled at New York Toy Fair 2020 were a number of new figures from the movie including a Super Shredder and the excellent looking Tokka and Rahzar: Figures from the original 1990 movie will also continue with a new 2-pack of Casey Jones and Michelangelo in his trenchcoat and hat disguise. In a move completely out of the blue, NECA will be releasing action figures from the cult 80's cartoon series, Defenders of the Earth. Five figures were on display covering the four main defenders of Flash Gordon, The Phantom, Lothar and Mandrake the Magician. The fifth figure is the series villain, Ming the Merciless. Unveiled at New York Toy Fair, NECA will finally be making Action Figures from Back to the Future. On display were two versions of Marty McFly from the original 1985 movie, badged as a 35th Anniversary collection. First is a standard Marty in his check shirt and gilet, we then have Marty in his Hazard Suit. The first figure has a backpack and skateboard as well as an alternative Michael J. Fox head sculpt in sunglasses. The Hazmat suit figure has a video camera, hair dryer, walkman & headphones and an unmasked Marty McFly head. We are assuming these are 7 inch scale, the ones on display are however pre-production prototypes in a larger scale. It has been announced that McFarlane Toys will be producing action figures based on Games Workshops Warhammer 40k Universe. The first figures will be a Primaris Intercessor Space Marine - painted in the Ultramarine Chapter colours. Uniquely for the action figure arena, but in perfect keeping with the Games Workshop ethos, an unpainted version will also be released so fans can paint their own version. The line will go beyond the Space Marines with more planned, but we will have to wait on more details. Press Release...we’ve got great news for fans of action figures, Space Marines, and anyone else who loves cool toys.* Today, Games Workshop is announcing a new partnership with action-figure masters McFarlane to release a range of Warhammer 40,000 action figures, starting with this Primaris Intercessor. Details are being kept on the down-low right now, but we have a few tidbits we can share. First of all, these fully poseable action figures are planned for release in both painted and unpainted versions (perfect for representing your favourite Chapter). Secondly, this Primaris Intercessor is only the beginning – there are more already in the pipeline, and they’re not all Space Marines… We’ll have more news on just how you can get your hands on these before too long.
