McFarlane have revealed four new figures for their My Hero Academia action figure line. Arriving in Spring 2020 we have Shoto Todoroki, Ochaco Uraraka and Eijiro Kirishima. Along with the Ghostbusters Plasma Series of 6 inch collector figures, Hasbro are releasing a line of retro Real Ghostbusters figures. The figures look to use or replicate the original 1980's Real Ghostbusters sculpts from Kenner, The six figure line up includes the four Ghostbusters of Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddemore. Each of the Ghostbusters comes with the proton pack, neutrino wand and a mini ghost. Each proton neutrino's wand comes with a proton stream, and like the originals - these look like they can be rotated to create the firing effect. We will also get a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and a Slimer, complete with pizza slices, watermelon and steak. The figures will come on retro cards that will also carry the original Kenner logo. Wickes Cool Toys, a Jazwares company, has unveiled their new Halo toys at New York Toy Fair 2020. Following a similar model to Fortnite, there will be a smaller 4 inch action figure line - complete with vehicles like the Warthog. There will be larger 12 inch figures, and a selection of role play items including a Master Chief helmet. We will then get a 6.5 inch collectors series of action figures called The Spartan Collection. The Spartan Collection will launch with Master Chief. There were also three other figures on display in New York. We have the blue armour Spartan Kat plus a red and white Spartan who's packaging was marked as "Name TBD". The figures will be packed with appropriate weaponry, swap out hands and for Spartan Kat, an unmasked head. The figures are pending licensor approval, so these are probably late 2020 releases and the images available are limited. After their reveal on Day 1 of New York Toy Fair, NECA have now released the full details for their 8 inch Jaws action figures. Chief Martin Brody has a sculpted head on top of a highly articulated 8 inch body. The outfit is soft goods and tailored and Brody also has a pair of removable glasses. The Chief comes with a Revolver, Radio and Handset, Chum Bucket, Binoculars and the diving tank. Brody will be released in September 2020. One of the big selling points of this set, and the Quint figure, is this line in the blurb - which will be impressive if NECA pull this off. "Collectors can expect an in-scale companion piece of the great white shark to arrive later this year." Jaws is considered one of the greatest achievements in film, paving the way for what would become the Summer blockbuster. For the first time in the movie's 45 year history, NECA is happy to announce a brand new 8" Clothed figure featuring the licensed likeness of Roy Schneider as Chief Martin Brody from the 1975 classic. Standing at 8" tall, Brody is equipped with screen accurate accessories and tailored clothing. Collectors can expect an in-scale companion piece of the great white shark to arrive later this year. Accompanying the NECA Chief Brody figure, is an 8 inch action figure of Quint from Jaws. Quint is presented in the 8 inch "retro" style with a sculpted head, articulated body and soft goods tailored clothes. Clint includes his gloves, hat and bandanna. He also comes with a rifle, speargun, hatchet, beer cans and a baseball bat to take out the radio that comes with Chief Brody. As we talked about in the Brody post, one of the most interesting parts of the promo text is the intention by NECA to bring us an appropriately scaled "Bruce" the Great White Shark. Medicom have released images and details for their MAFEX 1/12 scale Spider-Man action figure, in his Stealth (Night Monkey) Suit from Spider-Man : Far from Home. The figure includes masked head with various eye pieces, and an unmasked Tom Holland head with a set of Stark sunglasses. There is also a variety of hands and web shooting pieces. B&M Stores seem to have received a lot of McFarlane Toys Action Figure stock this past week with some great price reductions. The Game of Thrones first wave is in stores at £10 each, although I am yet to find Arya Stark. At the same price are the 2018 Call of Duty figures of Seraph, Ruin and John "Soap" McTavish. The Simon "Ghost" Riley figure is pictured on the reverse and may be sneaking about in some stores. There is a new Walking Dead pack for £19.99 containing four Rick Grimes 5 inch action figures. And also in a 5 inch scale is a Halo pack containing a Spartan figure and a Rocket Launcher - this wasn't priced. Finally there are reductions on some McFarlane Fortnite figures with Ragnarok and A.I.M. down to £15 each It seems you will need to go to a larger B&M Home Store to find these, they do not seem to be ranged at the smaller footprint stores. These figures are also labelled out of a wholesaler in Lancashire and therefore it is worth keeping an eye on other discount retailers who may pick up stock? Took a trip into my local Smyths, and found the latest Jazwares Fortnite wave is now on the shelves - Rustlord, Molten Battle Hound and Raven. There was no Peely, he may have simply sold out - or has not yet arrived. I was also interested to see some brand new weapon accessory packs called Legendary Loadouts. There were two packs available at £9.99 each. The first had a missile launcher, minigun, pump shotgun and light machine gun. The second had the flint-knock pistol, crossbow, double barrelled shotgun and grappler. A Toy Fair 2020 announcement form NECA, the Ultimate Scout Predator action figure from Predator 2 - celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the acclaimed Sequel. The Scout from the Lost Tribe will have a new body upgrade as well as two heads and assorted hand options. He comes with disc weapons and a long raised blaster - there is also a collapsed version of the blaster that fits as a backpack. Release date is August 2020 Predator 2 expanded the universe that the original film touched upon, introducing us to new yautja such as the City Hunter and more importantly, the Lost Tribe that appeared at the end of the film. 30 years after its release, NECA is celebrating Predator 2's anniversary with the return of each Lost Tribe Predator in Ultimate form. The Hasbro Power Rangers Lightning Collection has reached Wave 5 and the four figure line up of the 2020 wave was unveiled at New York Toy Fair 2020. Up first is the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Blue Ranger - taking us to 4 of the original Rangers with just the Black Ranger still to go. We then have the Time Force Red Ranger and the Zeo Gold Ranger. The wave is finished up by the Ranger Slayer - the alternative version of Kimberley Hart, the Pink Ranger.
