NECA will not be making any product for the upcoming Godzilla vs Kong movie. The licence has been given to Playmates, and we now get a look via the Walmart website of what the product looks like. Walmart in the US have listed an 11 inch tall Godzilla and a corresponding 11 inch tall Kong figure. Each looks to have limited articulation and would likely be hollow blown molded. The use of the XL in the title indicates these are the largest of a range which will include smaller figures - and we know there is a re-release by Playmates of a number of other 6 inch Godzilla figures using the older Bandai molds. Hasbro has revealed an Exclusive GI Joe Cobra Commander 6 inch action figure, originally destined for SDCC 2020. The figure features Cobra Commander The Snake Supreme Cobra Commander is black suited, with a soft goods snakeskin effect cloak. He is packed in an ornate display box and will come with various accessories including his Serpent Head staff, blade, handgun and a golden world globe. Hasbro has announced a new line of 3.75 inch Retro G.I. Joe figures. The line will see classic characters packed onto Retro cards, with supporting vehicles and accessories. The line launches in October 2020 with three carded figures - Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes and The Baroness. There will also be two vehicles. A Cobra HISS tank with driver, and the classic A.W.E. Striker with Crankcase. These are exclusive to Walmart in the US and available via the Fan Channel elsewhere. Prices in the UK are coming in (dependent on retailer) at circa £13-£15 per figure and £19-£21 for the vehicle sets. Hasbro has released the details for their Marvel Legends Cable movie figure from Deadpool 2. The figure will include swap put hands and three pieces of weaponry. The box is shaped the same as the X-Men figures and features the same stark back with just a silhouette of the character. But in typical Deadpool style the colour is now deep red, and Deadpool has been at it with his marker pen - updating the name from Nathan Summers to Cable and overwriting the X-Men logo with his own. Pre-orders for Cable are now live, with the figure shipping in early October 2020. Todd McFarlane shared a teaser image via a facebook post with an image of Cy-gor and the words "coming soon" Cy-Gor is a creation of McFarlane's from their Spawn comic and action figures. It was confirmed later in the week via The Voice of Reason that Cy-Gor is part of a new line from McFarlane called Raw10 which features creatures enhance by cybernetic implants. The line is not directly linked to Spawn, and sees much reduced articulation from the usual McFarlane figures. It is indicated however that the figures will scale well and Cy-Gor will dwarf Spawn in a display - as it should be. The other reveal in the article is cyborg dinosaur called Raptar, and there is also mention (but no images) of Battlesnake and Fren-Z. These Raw10 figures will be exclusive to Walmart in the US. There is no details as yet if these will translate to the UK. They do look like a line Asda may carry, or indeed Smyths Toys. Four new Star Wars Black Series figures have been announced by Hasbro on Io9. All four of them are taken from the final series of The Clone Wars and will line up in the new packaging with the side panel images connecting for a wider montage. The 4 figures are all based on the Clone Wars Season 7 Siege of Mandalore. We have Ahsoka Tano in her Season 7 outfit, complete with twin lightsabers. She will be joined by a 332nd Clone Trooper. The Clone Trooper features the orange helmet design of the 332nd and is armed with the DC15A and DC15S blasters. We would assume the figure uses the new Clone Trooper body from the upcoming Kamino Clonetrooper. The box for Ahsoka directly carries on the montage from the Kamino Clone Trooper who is numbered TCW 01, that will make Ahsoka TCW 02 and the 332nd Trooper TCW 03. The Mandalorians are represented by a Mandalorian Loyalist in Blue/Grey armour. And to face off against, there is a Mandalorian Super Commando - complete with red armour highlights and horned helmet. The Mandalorians appear to share a number of parts between them and also use parts from the older Jango Fett figure. Both come with jetpacks and twin blasters that the fit into working holsters on their hips. Following the new numbering system, the Loyalist will be TCW 04 and the Super Commando TCW 05. What is fun on these new montage panels is looking for clues on what the next figure might be. Checkout the side art on the Super Commando... could that be the rumoured Cad Bane's hat brim to the top right? The figures are reported to be exclusive to Walmart in the US and will go up for sale there as of the 17th of July 2020 and we would assume over here in the UK also via the specialist retailers. There are no details of an arrival date, but we would expect Autumn 2020. With the wave being very army builder heavy, Ahsoka aside, this is likely to be in high demand. Storm Collectibles have revealed that a variant of their Mortal Kombat Raiden action figure, in his red "Player 2" outfit was to be an SDCC 2020 Exclusive. With SDCC cancelled, the figure will now be sold via Bluefins website and will go up for sale as the 22nd of July through to the 26th, or while stocks last. Like the general release, Raiden will feature three head options, multiple hands, lightning FX pieces and his Fatality finisher effect. Next is Raiden sporting his red Player 2 outfit!
