A new McFarlane DC Multiverse 'versus' 2-Pack has gone up on Amazon US for pre-order. The set features the first Hal Jordan Green Lantern figure. He is facing off against the Earth-32 Dawnbreaker. The set features a translucent green base for displaying the two figures, and the usual circular black bases are also included. Green Lantern has two Lantern Power FX pieces, while Dawnbreaker has one in a dragon shape. The Amazon US listing has the item as a 31st of August 2021 release. It is not clear if this is an Amazon exclusive, or simply been listed first on the Amazon platform. Green Lantern: Hal Jordan’s life was changed twice by crashing aircraft. The first time was when he witnessed the death of his father, pilot Martin Jordan. The second was when, as an adult and trained pilot himself, he was summoned to the crashed wreckage of a spaceship belonging to Abin Sur. As teased earlier in the year, and more so over the last few days, Super7 have now confirmed a new line of SilverHawks Ultimates 7-inch scale figures. The classic 1986 animated series will be resurrected in highly articulated action figure form by Super7, with the first wave confirmed as Quicksilver, Steelheart, Mon*Star, and Buzz-Saw. The Hasbro Fan First 'I am your Father' live stream on the 9th of June revealed that the Star Wars Black Series will get its first-ever HasLab project later this Summer. There were no other details given, other than it would not be a vehicle! That puts it as either a creature release or an environment/diorama of some kind. HasLab projects by their nature have been big-ticket and big-sized releases that Hasbro can't do under their usual retail model. Each project needs a certain number of backers to proceed - meaning the choices of the project have to be popular ones. Considering the announcement of Bib Fortuna and the upcoming anniversary for Return of the Jedi, the Rancor is something that would fit the profile of HasLab - and they have of course done a 6-inch scale one for SDCC 2019's display piece? He could sit alongside a Jabba's Throne and that then opens up the backer tiers for bonus items like Malakili, Klaatu or Nikto Guards and even Oola? We've mocked up some sizing images for a 6-inch Rancor, taking the measurements of the current 3.75-inch figure and scaling him upwards. A 6-inch Rancor would come in somewhere around 450mm high, just under 18-inches tall. - and this doesn't look far off what Hasbro put on display at SDCC 20219. The Rancor height is impressive but is still dwarfed by last year's Marvel Sentinel project which retailed at £349.99 / $349.99. Considering the size difference and the fact the Rancor would not need any light-up FX the price should be quite a bit lower. However, if Hasbro were wanting to get this 2021 project to the £350 price point - they could replicate the 3.75-inch 2015 SDCC Rancor Pit set, but in a 6-inch scale. Couple the Rancor with Jabba's throne and that could be an impressive set with some cool added figures at each backing tier like Malakili or Oola. Hasbro have announced a new set in their Plasma Series Ghostbusters collection from the upcoming Ghostbusters Afterlife movie. The pack is of 3 of the new Mini-Pufts Marshmallow Men, with each standing 3.75-inches tall. This is a 1:1 scale pack in line with what we see on screen. Each 3-pack will feature 6 individual heads, so plenty of options for display and army building your Mini-Puft horde. Alongside the 'complete the crew' Black Series wave, were two new exclusive Rogue One figures. The Hasbro Fan First 'I am your Father' live stream on the 9th of June revealed the next batch of releases for the 3.75-inch Vintage collection, as well as a look ahead to some figures in the pipeline. The reveals kicked off with a new Bo-Katan Kryze figure in the 3.75-inch scale. She features two heads - one with helmet, and one without - and she also has a removable jet-pack and twin blasters with working holsters. Another Mandalorian release is Mythrol, a full new sculpt and featuring his bounty puck, cutting tool, and a blaster (that is borrowed from the K-2S0 Vintage release). And the final Vintage reveal is a new Kuiil figure, complete with a removable backpack and his gun. The final reveal was for a Vintage Collection Rebel Snowtrooper from The Empire Strikes Back, complete with a blaster and removable goggles. All four of these figures are general releases and will be early 2022 releases. The Vintage collection pipeline reveals started with more Original 96 figures, with a new Bib Fortuna and Lobot. The Hasbro Fan First 'I am your Father' live stream on the 9th of June revealed saw a big focus on Rogue One as we reach the film's 5th Anniversary. In a similar treatment to Rebels last year, Rogue One will have a new wave that 'completes the crew' and that includes the long-awaited Bodhi Rook figure in his flight suit and with a removable backpack that unwinds with the cable. Bodhi will be joined by re-releases in the new Galaxy Collection of the main Rogue One characters, all now with photo-real face updates. Jyn Erso is #01 in the Rogue One series and comes with her removable hood/cloak. Cassian Andor will come in the outfit originally included in the 2-pack exclusive and has his three-part rifle. K-2SO will feature a few paint updates to make him more screen accurate, including the eyes. Chirrut Imwe looks great with a photo-real update and is packed with both his staff and his Bo. The wave is finalised with Baze Malbus, again with a photo-real update and his large repeating blaster. Rogue One figures will use a turquoise colour accent on their side art and box trim. The wave will feature Princess Leia Organa from A New Hope, with a tweaked face print. Obi-Wan Kenobi from Revenge of the Sith will get a re-release and a much-needed face print decor update. As teased earlier in the year, and more so over the last few days, Super7 have now confirmed a new line of SilverHawks Ultimates 7-inch scale figures. The classic 1986 animated series will be resurrected in highly articulated action figure form by Super7, with the first wave confirmed as Quicksilver, Steelheart, Mon*Star and Buzz-Saw. The first wave will go up for pre-sale on the 10th June 2021 at which point we should have more images and details for each of the four figures. As per all Super7 Ultimates, these will be open for pre-order for a set period - then move to production based on pre-order commitments. They will be released at some point around Spring 2022.
