The Diamond Select 7-inch Rocketeer figure is getting a re-release and a deco update. The new edition, exclusive to Walmart in the US as part of their Collectors Con, will include the same accessories as the main release with a more retro paint job with a brighter gold helmet, red jacket, and brown trousers. Diamond Select Toys have released the pre-order details for their next release from The Muppet Show, a two pack of Sam The Eagle and Rizzo the Rat. The set is a December 2021 release and includes the Presidential Podium, complete with Sam's seal. There is a live event ongoing this week in Hong Kong with the Animation, Comics, and Games event (ACGHK2021). One of the exhibitors is Storm Collectibles, and they have shared a gallery of their booth via their social media channels so those of us not attending can see what is being shown and teased. We can see an unpainted prototype of the Sol Badguy figure from Guilty Gear, and of Juri from Street Fighter V. From Darkstalkers, we see a new figure of Morrigan. Evil Ryu from Street Fighter is on display as a full-painted figure, joined by the new Zangief, and E. Honda. Other figures visible in the images are Demetri from Darkstalkers, Orochi from King of Fighters, Nakoruru from Samurai Showdown, King from Tekken 7, and Kokita Ohma from Kengan Ashura It was also good to see Ken from Gatchaman (Battle of the Planets). And from Mortal Kombat we can see Reptile, Sub-Zero, and Kintaro. The Golden Axe display is looking impressive, and you can spot a new figure of the Dead Frame at the front of the group. Marking what would have been the week of San Diego Comic-Con 2021, the toy companies are running a number of reveals and online events. Mezco have a 3-day event planned, with new products to show off as well as running competitions and social media activity. Day 1 saw three reveals in the One:12 Collective, starting with The Joker from the Gotham by Gaslight series. The other two were from Dick Tracy and the original comic book series. Both Dick Tracy and Flathead were shown, although it wasn't clarified if these were a 2-pack or not. The other reveal for Day 1 was in the 5Points series and featured a boxset of Ultraman and Alien Metron. McFarlane has confirmed three new figures in their 7-inch line of figures from The Witcher video game. Two are repaints of existing figures with another Geralt of Rivia, now in his Viper Armour, and Ciri who now features her Elder Blood powers. They are joined by the first Deluxe 'Megafig' release for The Witcher, the Ice Giant Myrhyff of Undvik. Hasbro have confirmed we have three new Carbonized figures on their way for the Star Wars Black Series, all based on characters and troopers seen in The Mandalorian on Disney+. Arriving in the Spring of 2022 are figures of the Remnant Scout Trooper, Shoretrooper and Paz Vizla, Heavy Artillery Mandalorian. Each figure is a re-deco of their standard release with premium carbonized metallic paintwork. These 3 new figures also sees the translation of the Carbonized figures into the Phase 4 'Galaxy Collection' slanted side boxes. It is not clear as yet if these will be numbered or part of a wider series - with a connecting montage of side art. In the US the figures are Target exclusives, while elsewhere they will be sold via the Fan Channel to specialist stockists. Hasbro have announced, via Starwars.com, that they will be releasing figures in 2022 based on the Genndy Tartakovsky 2003 Clone Wars animated series. These will be a continuation of the celebration for Lucasfilm's 50th Anniversary. In the Vintage series, we will have figures of a Battle Droid, Aayla Secura, Luminara Unduli, Bariss Offee, the ARC Trooper Captain, and ARC Trooper. They are all packed on a standard Vintage Collection card-back, with artwork from the Tartakovsky series. There are three Black Series figures planned also. These are not pictured, but we can look forward to Mace Windu, General Grievous, and ARC Trooper (the article states Trooper, but the image focuses on the Captain). Like the other 50th Anniversary releases for Lucasfilm, Hasbro intends to pack these into packaging reminiscent of the original 2003 Clone Wars toys. All of the figures are taken from existing releases, with updated decor or tweaked parts. They are Walmart exclusives in the US, and sold via the Fan Channel elsewhere. It is believed pre-orders will commence at 3pm (UK) time on the 22nd July, the same time these go online in Walmart for their Collectors Con. Iron Studios have announced a new set of 1/10 Art Scale statues from The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The set will feature 7 rangers as well as Zordon, with each piece able to display on its own - or all of them can be combined into a brilliant-looking diorama piece. You can also customise the display allowing you to display the original 5 rangers on their own, or add either or both the white and green ranger. The final piece is of course Zordon who features light up LED's to really enhance the overall display. All of the statues are Q2 releases for 2022 and can be pre-ordered now. After an earthquake in Angel Grove city, a group of five young friends found a robot called Alpha 5, which led them to meet the galactic mage Zordon. Chosen by Zordon to face the evil in the form of the sorceress Rita Repulsa, they each received a Power Morpher, an artifact containing a Power Coin engraved with an image of a prehistoric beast, which allows them to transform into a Power Ranger. Jason Lee Scott was one of those chosen, becoming the first Red Ranger of the modern era and leader of the group known as the Power Rangers. His symbol is a T-Rex, depicted in his red and white costume. He presents himself with his sword in hand, ready for combat. Billy Cranston, the Blue Ranger, is considered the brains of the team and responsible for creating devices to solve problems that not even Zordon anticipated. With a Triceratops as his symbol, depicted in his blue and white costume, he poses wielding his spear, ready to face any threat. Zack Taylor, the Black Ranger, the group's second-in-command, is playful and optimistic and is the one who boosts morale and gives the group strength in the most challenging moments. He has as his symbol the Mastodon, depicted in his black and white costume, and presents himself with his ax ready for action. Kimberly Ann Har, the Pink Ranger, is one of the first five people originally chosen by Zordon and one of the group's female representatives. Gifted with great athletic abilities and artistic talents, she has a Pterodactyl as her symbol, depicted in her pink and white costume. The heroine is ready to shoot her bow and arrow. Trini Kwan, the Yellow Ranger, is an Asian-American teenager with both Chinese and Japanese traditions. She is a martial arts expert and one of the other female representatives of the group. With a Sabertooth as her symbol, depicted in her yellow and white costume, the heroine wields her daggers. Thomas "Tommy" Oliver is the Green Ranger. A martial arts expert, he first emerged as an enemy of the group after being brainwashed by the sorceress Rita Repulsa. After the spell was broken, Tommy joined the group and became the sixth member of the Rangers. Having a Dragon as his symbol, represented in his green and white costume, he holds his Dragon Dagger ready to fight. Tommy Oliver is also the first White Ranger. After breaking free from the domain of the sorceress Rita Repulsa, thanks to his bravery and determination, Tommy received from Zordon the powers of the White Ranger, allowing him to remain on the team and later becoming the second leader of the group. With a White Tiger as his symbol represented in the white, black, and gold costume, the hero holds his saber, ready for action. Zordon of Eltar is a wise mage from Planet Lutus, over ten thousand years old, and he has been facing the sorceress Rita Repulsa for centuries. She was his protégé in the past, but she chose the evil side, on a mission to conquer several worlds in the universe. To stop the witch from taking the Earth, Zordon built a base of operations known as the Command Center, in the California desert, and created his defense force through the Power Rangers Mighty Morphin team. Inside a tube of blue plasma in his Force Chamber, Zordon manifests through his grim face.
