After their announcement on Batman Day 2021, the new McFarlane DC Multiverse figures from Batman: Three Jokers have gone up for pre-order at Walmart in the US. The set features new figures of Batman, Bat Girl, and Red Hood. There are then three new Joker figures - the Criminal and The Clown being general releases - with the final figure, The Comedian, missing from the Walmart listing so likely a retailer exclusive elsewhere? With these listings comes the official images and synopsis for the figures, although there is no specified release date. Batman comes with a grappling gun, while Batgirl has a gun that fires batarangs. Red Hood and the Clown Joker feature crowbars, while The Criminal has his cane. All figures feature the usual display base and art card. As a child, Bruce Wayne watched as his parents were brutally killed in Gotham City’s Crime Alley. Traumatized by their deaths, he devoted his life to becoming the world’s greatest weapon against crime—the Batman! Hasbro's celebration figures for the 50th Anniversary of Lucasfilm is moving to the 1985 animated series Droids. The spin-off cartoon followed C-3PO and R2-D2 and their adventures in a Galaxy Far Far Away, and it included appearances from other Star Wars icons including Boba Fett. The Hasbro Droids figures will kick off with three 3.75-inch Vintage Collection releases of Threepio, R2, and Boba Fett. Each will be packed on a retro-inspired Droids card back and will include replica gold collectors coins - another homage to the original Kenner Droids figures. Black Series 6-inch fans will be treated to a Droids-inspired Boba Fett. He will use the older Boba Fett base rather than the newer improved ROTJ version. He comes in a window box similar to the Publishing Wave rather than a Kenner-inspired card which would have looked awesome alongside the other carded Lucasfilm 50th figures. As yet there is no news or indication that Black Series fans will also get Threepio and R2-D2 in the same format. All of the figures are exclusive to Target in the US but there is no dates included for the pre-order window or the actual release. I will update this news as it comes in. Medicom have revealed the release of a Black Suited Symbiote Spider-Man next year. The July 2022 release will feature the comic book Peter Parker in his black symbiote suit. Two more Ninja Power Ranger figures have been unveiled by Hasbro in the Lightning Collection 6-inch line. Joining the already revealed Blue & Black Ninja's are the Pink Ninja and the White Ninja. The Kimberley Hart Ninja Pink Ranger features an alternative unmasked head, an alternative pair of hands, ninja scarf, and effect accessory. The Tommy Oliver Ninja White Ranger will have three head options include as well as alternative hands, ninja scarf, and effects accessory. Both figures are Target exclusives in the US, and are sold via the Fan Channel elsewhere including Hasbro Pulse in the UK. They are listed as a 24th of April 2022 release and are at the increased price of £31.99 here in the UK. In a surprise announcement, NECA has revealed they have a new licence for everyone's favourite Alien from the planet Melmac, ALF. The ALF Ultimate figure in 7-inch scale will be released in the Spring of 2022 and features a fully articulated ALF along with a wealth of accessories. While the contents are not completely confirmed, we can see many of them in the promo images. These include a bag of slime balls, a bowl of popcorn, a cat sandwich (poor Lucky) and ALF's ham radio and microphone. It is conceivable that NECA will use a model similar to Gremlins with ALF. Repacking the base figure with different soft goods outfits and accessories such as Hippie ALF, Graduation ALF or Christmas ALF. Mezco's One:12 Collective Spider-Man 2099 figure has gone up for pre-order after its reveal earlier this year at the Mezco Summer Con event. The 6-inch scale figure will feature the usual highly articulated One:12 Collective body and a tailored Spider-Suit. There will then be three head options - masked, unmasked, and partially masked - and a good selection of hand options. There is also a number of Spider Web effects, and a clip-on wrist communicator with a Lyla holographic projection that attaches to the communicator. The Mezco Spider-Man 2099 is a Mezco Store Exclusive so can only be ordered from them directly. They will ship globally and will calculate taxes and import fees for you. The figure has a US RRP of $90, and with taxes and shipping, you are looking at £120 for UK collectors. The figure is a fairly swift release by One:12 standards, with the figure expected to be shipped between December 2021 and February 2022. “That'd be me. The Spider-Man of tomorrow, here to save today...” Spider-Man 2099 swings into the One:12 Collective! The One:12 Collective Spider-Man 2099 wears an Unstable Molecules suit, a material created by Sue Storm and Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four. As announced a week or so ago at the Marvel Legends Fan First Panel, we have another two Retro carded Legends figures incoming in Spring 2022. Loki and Falcon are carded and pay homage to the original ToyBiz figures and card backs. Both are repacks of recent releases albeit with tweaks. Loki is repainted and gets a new head sculpt to sit alongside the existing smiling version from the 2019 Smart Hulk wave. Falcon is updated with a new costume paint job vs the 2020 base figure released as part of the Joe Fixit wave. Both figures are open for pre-order now with a 1st of May 2022 release date. We also know from the Fan First event that a Lady Loki is coming in the same format, and the blurb (see below) also talks about Retro figures of Vision and Scarlet Witch - a tangible link to the Disney+ shows. While Vision has a Retro release from 2018, Scarlet Witch has not been released in this format and may be another 2022 release and could be a single carded tweaked version of Wanda from the 3-pack with Magneto and Quicksilver? Diamond Select's Lord of the Rings line will reach Wave 2 soon with the arrival of Frodo Baggins and The Ring Wraith, which will bring us two-thirds of the way to completing the Sauron Build-a-Figure, and to whet our appetite Diamond has shared these new images of the Dark Lord. The 13-inch tall Sauron (as big as the recent Marvel Surtur figure) features a full armoured body, a gauntlet hand wearing the one ring and a soft goods cape. Sadly, it seems from these images he is missing his mace. Wave 2 of Frodo and The Ring Wraith are imminent into stores, with the final BAF wave of Aragorn and the Moria Goblin due in the next few weeks also if all goes to plan. The Bad Batch is the latest of the Star Wars properties and the Black Series figures from the debut Season initially focused on the Clones themselves. The first non-Clone character in the Black Series line is Vice Admiral Rampart who was released in September 2021 in the UK as a Fan Channel exclusive - in the US the figure is exclusive to Walmart. While Rampart is an exclusive release, he remains part of the numbered Galaxy Collection for The Bad Batch and is number 7 in the line. He follows on from the Clone Shock Trooper releases at the same time. The packaging design for Rampart uses the deep red hue as the other Bad Batch releases and an art panel on the slanted spine that lines up with the other releases to make a wider Bad Batch montage (see our Galaxy Collection page for a look at the connecting images). The rear of the box has a short background piece on Rampart and his position in the fledgling Empire. "After the fall of the Republic, Vice Admiral Rampart is assigned to oversee the clone troopers on Kamino by Governor Tarkin. Rampart has eagerly taken to his role in the new Galactic Empire as it aims to instill order in the galaxy" Rampart uses the entirety of the Grand Moff Tarkin figure body from 2018, with a new head sculpt. Like all Bad Batch, Clone Wars and Rebels figures to date, the Rampart head is realised in a real-world setting and it also uses photo-real face printing to enhance the realism of the sculpt. The body from Tarkin makes sense considering the Imperial Uniform is consistent across a number of high-ranking officers. The Rank Badge for Vice Admiral looks right on the figure compared to a lot of online references, but on-screen Rampart is only seen with a single row of rank insignia? Like Tarkin, Rampart does look a little out of proportion with a larger head and oversized hands compared to the rest of the body. Paint apps are also sloppy on our figure with an error on the left knee, and a smear of silver on the black of the belt. Rampart is packed with the small hold-out blaster that has previously been included with other Imperial Offices like Piett and Veers. It is cast in black and is very simplistic in its details. It fits into Rmpart's right hand snugly enough, but Rampart has no holster for stowing the weapon away. Rampart is also packed with an MSE Droid, the same one that has up to now been exclusive to the Disney Parks First Order set. The droid is well scaled and cast with a good level of detail down the main body and across the two rails on the top of the droid. The four wheels all move so you can roll your mouse droid up and down. Paintwork is a dry brush over the base colour. Articulation is standard with 16 points in total. As a slightly older body, you miss out on the newer dual neck articulation, and coupled with the larger head the head movement is more or less restricted to a rotation only. The arms & legs all work well enough and Rampart stands perfectly well. Vice Admiral Rampart was always a prime candidate for an exclusive release considering Hasbro had the parts for the body already in their back catalog - I just wish they had cast the head a touch smaller. The addition of the MSE droid is a good one and brings that piece into wider circulation, although the set still remains exclusive so will not be as accessible as the mainline releases. Hasbro has released details of a new exclusive Doctor Strange heading to Walmart stores in the US for their October Collectors Con. The figure is a classic take on the comic book Stephen Strange and features two standard heads and a third based on the blue mask that Strange wore in a number of classic issues. Also included in the set are a pair of magical effects, a second pair of hands, the Wand of Watoomb, and the Axe of Angarruumus. While the figure is linked to the Walmart Collector Event over the 7th and 8th of October 2021, it will be a Spring 2022 release. It is expected that outside of the US that this is a Fan Channel exclusive. The figure was exclusively unveiled by Boog ACBA on YouTube, so please check out the reveal video also. Super7's sixth series of their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ultimates will include a number of new characters from the original TMNT roster starting with Ace Duck and Sewer Surfer Michelangelo.
