After a few leaked images, we now have the official listing & images for McFarlane's DC Multiverse 7-inch figure of The Penguin from the upcoming 'The Batman' movie. The Penguin will come with alternative hands and features the usual collectible art card and display base. Also unveiled is the unmasked variant of Catwoman. The figure is the same essentially as the previously announced Catwoman but now features an unmasked Selina Kyle head. She comes with her whip and the collectible card and base. Both The Penguin and the new Catwoman are March 2022 releases. The Penguin, otherwise known as Oswald Cobblepot, is the proprietor of Gotham’s exclusive nightlife hotspot, The Iceberg Lounge. While this shady crook is known for running his mouth, he harbors not-so-secret designs on running the City’s criminal underworld. Two new 12-inch McFarlane Statues from The Batman movie have been listed for pre-order ahead of a March 2022 release. The statues feature The Batman himself posed on a rooftop base, while The Riddler is posed on a wooden floor. Both statues will also be packed with the collectible art card. Hasbro and Disney have announced an extension to the Hasbro Star Wars license as well as confirming a new licensing deal that il return the Indiana Jones franchise to Hasbro for the first time since 2008 and the Crystal Skull movie. There are no details of what product Hasbro has in mind, but Action Figures are surely a given and while the 2008 figures were 3.75-inch, Hasbro's current scale of choice for most lines is the 6-inch collector line which would be quite exciting. Storm Collectibles have announced a Deluxe Version of their Ax Battler from Golden Axe. The Ax Battler is the same figure as originally released and comes with his Red Dragon mount. The Deluxe Set includes two Skeleton Warriors for the Ax Battler to face off against. The set is a Big Bad Toy Store Exclusive and is due for delivery as early as March 2022. Golden Axe is one of the most classic and iconic side-scrolling arcade beat 'em up games released in 1989 by Sega. The game places the player in control of one of three warriors each bent on revenge against the vile dictator, Death Adder. As promised last week, Playmates have unveiled their new Star Trek line as the franchise returns to Playmates after a number of years away. The article on StarTrek.com confirms the new 2022 Star Trek figures will return to the 5-inch (1/14) scale and will be taken from across the Star Trek Universe. This choice of sizing allows the new figures to fit in with the older Playmates Trek releases. And while the figures are getting updated deco, and articulation, they do carry a similar aesthetic as the older figures. The entire Star Trek Universe is open to Playmates and among the first figures are three movie figures from The Wrath of Khan: Captain Kirk, Spock, and Khan. The Next Generation releases will include the trio of Captain Picard, Commander Riker, and Commander Data. Each of the TNG figures will feature the Season 3 Starfleet Uniforms. The figure line is rounded out with Star Trek Discovery figures of Saru and Michael Burnham. The Discovery pair will be in the original Discovery Starfleet Uniforms of the first couple of Seasons - with Saaru in the gold command uniform, and Burnham with the blue-trimmed science officer. The figures will be packed in either retro-styled blister cards, or newer Star Trek Universe cards - depending on the character and property. The Terminator is coming to Medicom's MAFEX line! Arriving in November 2022 is the T-800 from the original movie, as seen in the Police Station Assault with the iconic leather jacket. The figure will be packed with plenty of hardware including two automatic weapons, two handguns, and a shotgun. You also get three head options - one with glasses, one without, and a battle-damaged version showing the Exoskeleton beneath. The set will also feature alternative hands. The next MAFEX release from Batman Hush will be Nightwing, and he is now up for pre-orders at stockists with a November 2022 release date. He is packed with three versions of his Escrima Sticks - one pair as plain batons, a second set joined by a rope, and a third set sculpted into a pair of hands and set as though being twirled. There are also two head sculpts included and further alternative hands. Nightwing will be figure number 175 in the MAFEX line. Based on the Batman: Hush story line, the MAFEX Nightwing is a fully articulated figure with his iconic black and blue suit. As we saw last year for the Batman Beyond Wave, McFarlane have teamed up with Target for a staggered wave of DC Multiverse figures - with one released every couple of months, each containing a build-a-figure part. The Crime Syndicate wave kicks off with the release of Superman of Earth-3, otherwise known as Ultraman. He comes packed with a baby Starro who is made of a softer PVC allowing him to be attached to most DC Multiverse figures at the chest. The other figures in the Crime Syndicate Wave are not yet revealed, but we can look forward to a build-a-figure of adult Starro at the end of the wave. Starro will be constructed with bendable wire armature in the arms. Superman of Earth-3 is listed as 'coming soon' at Target and we would then assume the subsequent figures will follow every couple of months. If the wave follows suit with the previous Target staggered wave then collectors outside the US should be able to buy the full-wave at the end of the Target run. Variations of the figures may also be released in other waves, and we may even get a Starro variant Megafig on its own?
