As we have seen with most of the other Disney+ Marvel shows, the Disney Store are marking the arrival of Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight series with a new Diamond Select 7-inch release exclusive to Shop Disney. The figure has not been developed based on his appearance from the show like Scarlet Witch or Falcon but instead is a repainted/tweaked version of the 2006 Marvel Select figure. He will feature the same Egyptian Diorama backdrop and will be armed with two of his crescent darts. The Disney Store exclusive Moon Knight is a June 2022 release with pre-orders now live on Shop Disney in the US with more territories to follow, including (we hope) the UK. Following his debut on Disney+ this week, a new Moon Knight Marvel Legends figure has been revealed by Hasbro Pulse. The figure will feature Moon Knight with a set of alternative hands and a crescent dart weapon. Dan Yun from the Marvel Legends team has since confirmed that Moon Knight is part of the Disney+ wave that also contains Hawkeye & Kate Bishop and has Infinity Ultron as the build-a-figure. The Marvel Must Haves page over at the Marvel.com website has given us a look at another Marvel Legends Moon Knight release in the shape of Mr. Knight. While the figure has not been revealed officially, it does feature in the header for the webpage alongside the Moon Knight figure shown off by Hasbro. At this stage, we just don't know if this is an exclusive if it will sit in the Disney+ wave. We do know that the Moon Knight figure - also seen in the image and as revealed this week - is included in the Infinity Ultron BAF wave. We assume all will become clear in the next few weeks. Wong has appeared in a number of Marvel Cinematic projects following his debut in 2016 in the first Doctor Strange movie, but it has taken 6 years for us to finally get a Marvel Legends 6-inch figure of Wong - as seen in the upcoming movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Like the other Multiverse of Madness figures in the wave, we find Wong in the usual Marvel Legends packaging with a red nameplate on the box front under the movie logo and side art depicting the character against a multicoloured backdrop. This same rainbow of colour is applied to the backing card that also features the Sanctum Santorum window design. Wong, in his updated robes, is pictured fully on the back of the box above the Rintrah BAF checklist and to the side of a short piece of background text that follows up on dialogue from Spider-Man: No Way Home and confirms Wong's new role in the MCU. "Wong takes over for The Ancient One as Sorcerer Supreme and leader of Kamar-Taj, teaching a new era of sorcerers to protect our reality from mystical threats." As Wong is a debut character for the Marvel Legends line, the head is a brand new sculpt and features a relatively strong likeness to Benedict Wong and enhanced further with photo-real paint applications focused around the eyes and the facial hair, but also adding some shading around the nose and eyes. While the head is a strong likeness, the figure does feel off when you unpack it and that is perhaps down to proportions with the head looking a little undersized on the body and certainly on quite a long neck which is not how we find Wong on screen with a more squat and compact build. The body is also entirely new and is based on the more colourful robes we will see in Multiverse of Madness. Like both Strange and Mordo, the layers and patterns across the robes are impressive from an ornate relief design on the chest section, to quilted panels on the skirt. As you explore the figure you will also find other details including Wong's sling-ring sculpted and painted as part of his belt, and a left-hand bracer with a winged design in gold and then inlaid with a blue cross design. The colours are all bright and crisp and pop off the figure. The yellow, a notoriously hard colour to apply, is bright. And the applied details like the ring and the pins on his chest are all neatly painted. Like the head the body just feels a bit out of proportion with a squat short torso and wide hips and legs - the costume doesn't help here with a high waistband and very baggy trousers sitting under the skirt piece. Wong comes with a pair of open spell-casting hands fitted including that left hand with the two outstretched forefingers we see Wong gesture with when magical spells. You can then also cast those spells with a second pair of hands complete with spell shield effects attached. These are taken directly from the No Way Home Doctor Strange with the skin tone adjusted for Wong. Like the previous usage, these do look as good as you potentially could get with practical translucent plastic effects and they carry a fair bit of detail within the mystical circle itself. Wong also gets a sword in this release - an item we assume will play a part in Multiverse of Madness. To wield this we have a final alternative right gripping hand. The sword itself is a grey plastic base and has a bright silver blade, white painted hilt, and golden crossguard. This guard is similar to Mordo's crossbow with intricate sculpted detail that gets a bit lost without a secondary wash or paint app to enhance them. Wong has 19 points of articulation and is much improved on Mordo from the same wave in terms of joint execution. Again the legs are restricted behind a skirt piece, so the double joint has been swapped to a single rotating joint instead. The double joint is retained at the elbow allowing for a full range of arm movement - although there is still no butterfly shoulders. The waist joint is tucked away under the central waist and has a good degree of motion to the sides and back and forward. The head is jointed on that slightly long neck at both base and top so the head can move extensively also - although doing so does expose a gap at the base of the neck in certain positions. It is great to finally get a Wong figure in the Marvel Legends line and there is a lot to like about the Multiverse of Madness version including a fantastic level of detail in the sculpting of the robes, bright colours, and a good level of articulation. The figure suffers - in my opinion - with a couple of proportional issues mainly the head size and neck length and minor tweaks on these would have elevated Wong to new heights. I guess I am also not alone in hoping we see a retrospective release of Wong from his early MCU robes. I personally prefer the muted colours we see him wear in Doctor Strange and Endgame and having Wong from these films would see a significant character gap filled. NECA are returning to the Aliens franchise through the latest videogame, Aliens: Firestorm Elite, with these new Xenomorph figures. The Prowler and Runner Alien will measure around 9-inches long and will feature the usual extensive articulation and the poseable tail fitted with a metal armature. These are due for release in June 2022 and will be packed in basic window packaging. Master Mordo is one of the new Marvel Legends MCU figures, released in the Spring of 2022, from the upcoming movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Mordo is part of the Multiverse of Madness wave which also includes Wong, America Chavez, and Doctor Strange from the movie as well as the build-a-figure, Rintrah. There is a subtle rainbow scheme applied to the box colours for the MOM figures with a multicoloured backdrop sitting behind the two side art panels, and also used on the card back within the packaging itself - this also being inset with the window design from the Sanctum Santorum. The rear of the box gives us a clearer look at Master Mordo and a checklist of parts for the Rintrah figure. There is also a brief text overview that gives away a couple of plot points, although nothing we couldn't discern from the end credits of the original movie and what we have seen in trailers. "Mordo has gone rogue since leaving Kamar-Taj, hunting other sorcerers for breaking the laws of reality, and is never far off the trail of Doctor Strange." Master Mordo has had a makeover since his original 2016 appearance and his first Marvel Legends figure. The base colour of his robes remains green, but the costume is now much more layered and complex. The inner tunics seems to include around five differing layers, and over these are placed some golden components that is not quite armour - but not quite part of the costume either. Similar gold armour has been added at the wrists in the form of two shaped bracers. The belt and lower robes are comparable with those worn by Stephen Strange and the belt detail includes a sling-ring sculpted tucked to one side. The outfit ends with a pair of knee-high black boots. Most of the costume is cast in the base colour - green predominantly - but nearly every area has had a level of paint treatment from the gold trim on the robes, to the very intricate pattern on part of the lower skirt that almost looks printed. Where paint is applied, the finish is crisp and neat and one of the better-painted bodies I've seen in a while. The outer robes are an individual piece and look like they would come off with a bit of heat which would provide a second look for Mordo (I wasn't brave enough). Every piece of Master Mordo appears new, although the legs are still pinned indicating they might have had a previous life (let us know if you recognise them) or were developed before the wider use of pinless bodies. Mordo sports a brand new Chiwetel Ejiofor head sculpt and it is a vastly improved likeness to the original 2016 figure as well as coming with a more realistic look thanks to the photo-real paint app technology. This realism and attention to detail extend to the facial scars on Ejiofor's forehead - a result of a tragic accident when he was younger. The hairpiece is cast in black plastic with intricately sculpted braided hair that flows back to a tied section and then down and over the shoulders of the body with a few braids set to come down over the shoulder to the front of the figure. These are flexible enough to move when the head is posed but are shaped to sit in a certain position over the body. Mordo has a pretty decent set of included accessories, certainly on par with both Wong and Doctor Strange. He arrives with a pair of open hands which allow for magic casting poses, and you can swap these out for a second pair of clenched fists. A third pair of gripping hands are then included allowing you to equip Mordo with the included weaponry. This is made up of a mini-crossbow, which is executed as a two-part piece. The wooden main body is very intricate in terms of its pattern, but sadly this is not enhanced with any paint application. Onto this is glued the limb, string, and firing mechanism complete with a loaded bolt. These are cast in grey plastic and this is too dull and would have looked better with a gunmetal finish. The crossbow can fit into both the left and right hands, but it is a little tricky to get the trigger finger included on both hands to sit over the ornate trigger of the crossbow. The final accessory for Mordo is a retracted Staff of the Living Tribune. This is cast in a dark brown, with the central wooden shaft painted over with a lighter brown. The staff can sit in either hand but as it's retracted it does lack presence on display and I would have preferred an extended version - as seen on the original Mordo figure - or even both versions. I would also have liked to have seen the magic effects we see Mordo using on the box art. These are a staple for Doctor Strange figures and exist already and could have been repainted for Mordo and included in the set - the wrist peg is identical. Master Mordo has a relatively low articulation count with 16 points of articulation. The legs are fully articulated including double-jointed knees, but much of the movement is held back by the skirts and cloak that Mordo is wearing. The arms see a single elbow joint with rotation and a standard shoulder joint without any evident butterfly joints within the torso. These are sufficient for Mordo to be posed with either of his accessories or in a number of spell casting positions. The body is a ball joint at the waist which moves quite well but will push out the robes at odd angles if you bend Mordo forward. The head is jointed at the base of the top of the neck only, allowing for the head to be rotated or tilted as much as the hair will facilitate. Master Mordo is certainly a big improvement on his 2016 figure both in terms of character design on screen and also in execution. Comparing the old and new figures does really show clearly the strides made by the Marvel Legends team in the past 6-years with textures, decor, and that all-important photo-real decor for the head. Mordo is well painted, well-sculpted has a great likeness to what we have seen so far on screen, and comes with a pretty decent set of accessories - although the perfectionist in me would have liked to have seen the magic effect hands and an extended Staff of the Living Tribune. A great figure in a pretty strong wave overall and certainly a good foil to sit alongside Strange and Wong. The 2nd Series of the NECA Defenders of the Earth figure line, inspired by the original 1980's cartoon, has been long-awaited - but we now finally have a full gallery of images and a release date for Lothar, Mandrake the Magician and the newer addition to the wave, Garax. This 2nd wave will be a September 2022 release with each figure presented in a window box with retro 1980's inspired design based on the original Galoob figures - it even replaces the usual NECA one with one styled around the Galoob logo. The figures all feature alternative hands, weaponry, and blast effects with Mandrake also coming with a soft goods cape. I am finding keeping track of the Hasbro Fortnite Victory Royale Series quite tricky at the moment, and through In Demand Toys we are informed of another new release in the 6-inch action figure series. The Chaos Double-Agent - who is a repaint of the original Chaos Agent release - will come with two heads, a harvesting tool, the Ooze Unit Back Bling and Drum Gun. He is listed as an April 2022 release by In Demand, but this is for the Imported figure - so we assume a general release is also forthcoming via Hasbro UK and Hasbro Pulse UK in the future. The long-awaited black & white version of NECA's Universal Monsters Wolfman has been released as part of the Haul-a-thon event. The figure is identical to the main release other than the colour pallet used and includes three head options, alternative human hands & feet, a walking cane, wolf trap and a stand.
