“Ko kweep aukauk kee ah ko kos kee em ek vah, moke veet." The Star Wars Black Series Fan Channel Wave releases across 2025 were very much influenced by the Star Wars prequel trilogy, and expanded our characters for display with the likes of Bariss Offee, Shaak Ti, and Sebulba. The first Fan Channel Wave of 2026 continues that focus, with a trio of figures who appeared in Episode 2, Attack of the Clones. The wave featured the first Black Series Kamoinoan, Taun We, as well as a Black Series collection debut for Watto. The third figure, also a first, was the Geonosian Warrior. The Geonosian arrives in the standard matt black box, and using the red highlight colour as assigned to Attack of the Clones. This red tone is used on the front text to confirm the character name and source, and rounds onto the side art showing the Warrior with weaponry in hand, set against a backdrop of the spires of Geonosis. The figure is number 11 in the Attack of the Clones Galaxy collection, and this side artwork connects to the last AOTC release of Jango Fett and onward into the other two figures in the wave: Watto and Taun We. The back of the box uses the same red-hued image and a short background piece that covers some top-line information about the Geonosian anatomy, that they live in Colonies, and that they were responsible for the designs for the Death Star. With the box opened, the Warrior and parts are set into the standard inner tray and against a cardboard backdrop. This backdrop is red to align with the rest of the box and also features an image of the Geonosis skyline and spires of the Geonosian colony. The figure is entirely new, adding a new species to the Black Series. It is cast in a brown base plastic and assembled to match the insectoid anatomy of the Geonosians with a central chest/thorax section leading down to a stubby segmented tail. Arms and legs are muscular and skeletal, representing the exo-skeleton of the Geonosian and ending in splayed three fingered hands and three toed feet. The head extends from the thorax with a muscular neck and features an elongated snout and cranium with eyes set on either side of the head and a mouth at the snout end with visible mandibles protruding outward. The entirety of the Geonosian body is overlaid with a few different colour pallets that darken the base brown tone and give a mottled effect over the texture of the body with sandy hues through to sections of green. Overall, this decor is sufficient, but it misses the mark with the face, which lacks definition around the eyes in particular. The joints are also left in a much lighter brown base plastic, so as the joints are posed, they do stand out with this lighter patch between the more detailed decor of the rest of the body. The Geonosian wears some basic armour with a skirt section in soft plastic that is brown with gold trim and red inset gems. And a high collar in gold with a set red gems in the centre, and three spikes that frame around the head. The figure is finished with the wings, a set of four that plug in around the back. These are translucent plastic with painted veins in a sandy brown alongside red and yellow hues. The Geonosian has 21 points of articulation, all included to match the physiology we see on screen. The legs are segmented with an ankle, lower knee, upper knee, and hip, while the arms are more traditional around the wrist, elbow and shoulder. There is a ball joint at the midsection, while the neck is jointed where it joins the chest, and again at the head. The final four joints are those at the wings with a main ball joint where they plug into the body, then the smaller wings have their own smaller ball joint to move independently again. The other feature Hasbro has included is a flight mode using a new sweeping stand design with a round base and a sweeping shaft that ends in a ball joint. This ball plugs unceremoniously into a hidden ball socket under the Geonosian skirt. The fit isn’t great, and it takes a bit of pressure to lock in place, which can cause stress marks on the stand, so make sure both parts are secured and pushed together. Use some gentle heat to ease it into place. Once engaged, the stand holds the Geonosian Warrior in a flight position, but it won't allow for excessive over-reaching as the base is relatively small and the centre of gravity is easily overbalanced when posing the Warrior. To further support flight posing, a second set of articulated wings is included. These are intended to look blurred, as though flapping rapidly in flight. With this set, the plastic is more opaque than translucent, and the wings themselves are thickened and smoothed to give the impression of blurred movement. These plug into the same sockets as the other wings, and while heavier, there is no issue in support or posing with the same four wings, each able to be posed using its own joint. The final accessory is the Geonosian Sonic Blaster, a large two-handed weapon which is cast in a similar brown to the body of the figure, with the trigger area in grey, and the large flared barrel in a dull green, with the sonic emitter itself a brighter green. The fit into the hands is OK, the right hand has to hold the trigger, hooking from underneath, while the clawed left hand is shaped to cup the barrel. Again, there is sufficient strength in the joints to have the Sonic Blaster out in firing position, either in flight position on the stand, or while standing on the ground. The Geonosian Warrior is a solid alien release, but perhaps not to the usual standard we expect from Hasbro, as seen on other non-humanoid releases like Sebulba or Mowaw Nadon. The sculpt is great and reflective of the Geonosians we see on screen. The issue is probably with the decor, and in particular the mismatch of the joint colouring vs the rest of the body. The body also really needs a darker brown wash and some ‘sheen’ to reflect the slick insect nature of the body. I do, however, find the wings really well done, with both standard and blurred versions working well. The stand just about does its job, but there are issues in how it connects and remains connected. The blaster is great, and the figure presents as an army builder to expand the Clone Wars scenes with the existing Battle Droids and Phase I Clone Troopers. Its inclusion thereore in a more limited Fan Channel Wave is disappointing. I am sure we will see more Geonosians going forward, most likely with parts recycled for Poggle the Lessor at some point. Character Toys has emailed those who signed up for updates on the new Doctor Who figure wave featuring the Yeti 'Collect & Build' figure to confirm the first release of the Dark Water Cyberman 2-Pack will open for ordering at 10 am on the 29th of June. This is a few days ahead of the original July window. There is also a change in the wider wave with the Tom Baker 4th Doctor moving back to the October slot, while the Liz Shaw and Primord move forward into September. This limited-edition Doctor Who Collect & Build “Vortex” set is the first of five launches this year. Each pack includes one or more ‘Vortex’ figures, plus a part of the Collect & Build ‘Yeti’ figure. About the Set The set includes two Cyberman figures, created from an entirely new digital sculpt. These new figures feature multiple articulation points, as well as the now customary higher specification decoration for which this Vortex range is renowned. Intricate in its styling, the Cyberman are articulated with a ball-pivot neck, wrists, chest and ankles, ball-jointed shoulders, and hips, as well as internal pins in the elbows, and knees. They have the slightly darker under armour contrasting with the metallic armour plates of the outer suit, as well as the open white/blue ‘chest light’ that is distinctive to this ‘Dark Waters/ Death in Heaven' Cyberman variant. Each figure comes packed with a standard left and right arm, as well as an alternative replaceable lower right forearm accessory allowing them to be displayed with their Cyber Gun weapons in the ‘deployed’ position. For the first time in 17 years, this pack also comes with the first key part of the ‘Collect & Build’, ‘Abominable Snowman’ (1967) figure: the Yeti’s Head. The Hiya Toys Toho Godzilla line of Exquisite Basic figures continues to grow, with the latest announcement of Biollante joining the line. As seen in Godzilla vs Biollante from 1989, the 20cm (7.8 inch) tall figure will spread up to 40cm (15.7 inches) wide when the vines are extended fully. The vines are jointed where they meet the main body of Biollante, and also include a metal armature that allows them to be posed as you wish, Biollante will be a Quarter 3 release in 2027 (July-September) and available generally, but not in Japan. Now Biollante from Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989) joins in the Hiya Toys EXQUISITE BASIC Series! This is the 17th film in the Godzilla series, and the first to be helmed by director Kazuki Omori. Five years after the great destruction of the Shinjuku subcenter, a fierce struggle unfolds over Godzilla's cells (G-cells)—cells capable of producing an anti-nuclear bacteria that can neutralize nuclear weapons and even tip the world's military balance. Dr. Shiragami, an authority in genetic engineering, had secretly fused the cells of his late daughter with a rose; in an effort to keep her cells alive, he spliced G-cells into the rose's seed—only for it to mutate into a giant monster, giving birth to Biollante. And so begins the battle against Godzilla, newly awakened at Mt. Mihara. The new EXQUISITE BASIC Series Biollante action figure faithfully recreates its iconic appearance from Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989). Standing approximately 20CM tall (from bottom to head), and 40CM wide(when vines spread as shown), features Biollante's signature central maw lined with sharp fangs, with intertwining vines and bark-like hide sculpted throughout the body. At the center of the torso, the core is recreated using a translucent orange-red piece with silver inner paint applications, adding depth and contrast to this distinctive feature. Several root vines extend from the body, with some ending in fanged mouths that faithfully capture Biollante's unique design from the film. The vines feature an internal wire frame covered with soft PVC material, allowing for flexible posing and display from different angles. "Symbolism is tricky. It's a fine line.” "Haven't you heard? I'm a cold-blooded killer." Following his appearance in Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, Muse’s stock is pretty high at the moment, and as a result, his first-ever Marvel Legends figure was announced in February 2026. He would be part of a comic book-based 2-pack, joined by another Daredevil foe in the shape of Bullseye. The set is a Hasbro Pulse Exclusive, and it shipped out to collectors in mid-June. On arrival, the pair are packed into the usual format Marvel Legends 2-pack with a large front window. Rather than the usual plain black, the box uses a deep red comic book panelled artwork, over which is applied the Daredevil comic book logo. The Marvel Legends logo sits in the top left corner, while the Hasbro logo, in white, sits in the bottom left, following on from the character names, which are listed as Marvel’s Muse and Marvel’s Bullseye to avoid copyright issues. Artwork featuring both Muse and Bullseye has been drawn up for use on the box, with the right-hand side panel filled with a split panel of both characters. The same art is used again, in a smaller panel, on the opposite spine, with a full-size version on the back, split into two red-framed panels. There is no background text or details for either character. Inside the box, the figures and the myriad of accessories are all set into an inner plastic tray. This then sits into a cardboard insert that uses the same comic book red-hued panel art as the box. We start with Muse, who is based on the Ron Garney artwork, and features a pair of black coloured ruffled trousers tucked into a pair of motorcycle boots. The three buttons of the trousers' fly are painted in silver as are the three buckles on either side of the boots. The upper torso is cast in white with red blood stains on the hands and forearms, fading as though smeared up the sleeve. There is a further blood splash on the chest, with red and black droplets and spatter. Muse is wearing a pair of braces, black rubberised plastic with painted silver buckles that loop over his shoulders and connect to the belt of his trousers. The back of the figure has the same, but with Muse’s backpack built in. The backpack, also black plastic, has no functionality. It cannot be opened to stow any of Muse’s weapons or accessories. The headsculpt is the same white as the torso, with a hood with the eyes cut out. Black smeared paint is added to the eyes, and where this black smears over the open eye pieces, you can see a red pupil staring back at you. Muse’s ribbed black hat is part of the head sculpt and is not removable. Muse features the standard 21 points of pinless articulation, and without any significant impediments of his costume, he is really extensive in how he can be posed. Muse can kneel and sit, while the arm range is extensive, thanks to the butterfly shoulders, allowing plenty of action-oriented poses with his weapons or spray can. The torso joint also supports ab-crunch, allowing Muse to lean and crouch, ready to pounce on his victims, the braces being flexible and not fixed fully, move with the crunch. Muse has a selection of hands, arriving with a pair of clenched fists. You can swap these out for a selection of four gripping hands, a pair of tight grips, and a second pair of more open grips. Each hand is coloured to match the blood smear on the main body. You are not short of accessories for posing with Muse, and they start with a blue spray can, which fits in one of the wider gripping hands. The weapons start with a bloodied wooden coloured baseball bat, which fits in nearly all of the gripping hands, the wider of the sets allowing Muse to cradle the wider business end of the bat in two-handed poses. The blood design is in keeping with Muse but won’t be to everyone’s taste, and it can look a little light and pink in places. There are two knives, both with silver blades and more applied blood smear, again a tad too pinkish for my liking. Both knives included a silver pommel, with one having a black grip handle and the other a light leather colour. These fit in the tighter of the gripping hands. The bladed weapons then move to a Machete, more blood down the silver blade, and with a black painted handle. The final weapon is a hatchet, with more blood on the gunmetal head, and with a black wrapped grip. As noted, the backpack for Muse might have been a near storage option for some of these weapons, but that functionality has not been included, so other than holding them, there are no holstering or stowing options for Muse, save trying to tuck them into the straps of his bracers. Moving to Bullseye, he is based on his more modern comic book look, which includes a pair of military brown cast combat trousers, with sculpted pockets and ribbed knee pads. These are tucked into a pair of black combat boots with sculpted lace design and a cut tread to the bottom. The torso is black, and a tight-fitting shirt with arms that are cut short just below the elbow. To achieve this, the lower forearm piece is cast in black with the skin between the cuff and the hands painted over in flesh tone. While this looks ‘ok’, there is no sculpted transition and the flesh tone is a bit off in colour with the black visible beneath. Bullseye's hands are cast in black to reflect the gloves he wears, while the only other decor on the torso are the bullseye symbols in white on both shoulders. Over the torso, Bullseye is wearing a combat belt and webbing. These are individual pieces in a softer plastic and coloured a military tan like the trousers. Into these are sculpted throwing knives, painted in silver and with the upper set across the chest featuring open holes in the grip. None of these are removable. The first head sculpt is a full mask, in black, with the white bullseye logo on the forehead. The visible eyes are printed in a realistic style, and you can pick out Bullseye's intense blue eyes and the dark brows above. You do then get a second head option where the mask is open around the nose and mouth. Here, the mask part is still coloured black, with the bullseye logo in white, but now we also have blood spatter across the side of the mask and face. The exposed face is grinning maniacally, and again, facial printing is used to add realism, even though this is a comic book-based figure. Bullseye has 23 points of pinless articulation, two more than Muse, thanks to a boot cut that allows a swivel just under the knee. Again, without any significant armour or bulky clothing, there is a good range of motion that Bullseye can get into, with the arms able to wield any of the included weapons, including the handgun and sniper rifle, as we will see shortly. In the pack, Bullseye appears to be packed with fewer accessories on the right-hand side of the box, but there is an obvious intention for some parts to be shared with Muse. In fact, if you look at Bullseye's combat webbing and belt, there are holstering loops that can hold the Hatchet and either of the knives we saw earlier in Muse's arsenal. Bullseye comes fitted, like Muse, with a pair of clenched fists. For the accessories, you can exchange these with a pair of gripping hands that also include trigger fingers for the guns. There is a fifth hand option by way of an open-handed throwing knives included to simulate Bullseye ready to unleash a barrage of knives at an opponent. The included handgun is simple and cast in black and can be held in either right or left gripping hand, with the trigger finger slipping into place. The larger sniper rifle is more detailed with lots of detail down the barrel and main body of the gun, cast in gun metal, and with the but of the rifle painted in a wooden finish. While not specifically designed to fit that way, you can loop the sights of the rifle into the loop on the back of the figure to have a cross shoulder look, which looks pretty good from the front. The rifle can be held up in firing poses, but there is not quite enough head articulation to get Bullseye looking straight down the scope; you can get close, but it needs a more extensive neck joint or a dual joint neck to have the eye line up with the scope. This two-pack is very much riding on the success of Daredevil: Born Again, yet has been designed and executed as a comic-based release. Whether that means there is more demand in the comic book space despite the Disney+ series apparent popularity, or whether there were insufficient costume design details to develop the figures directly from the show ready for an early(ish) 2026 release. For fans of the MCU, like myself, the Muse figure will be passable as a live-action release considering how close the onscreen costume is to the original comic design. Bullseye two, particularly with the full mask, is very much aligned to the realistic body proportions of the cinematic figures and while the costume is not close to the deep blue sported by Wilson Bethel. You can see in our final image that posing them with Daredevil from Born Again does not leave either of them looking out of place. The set is a Hasbro Pulse Exclusive, and the initial allocation sold out quickly. Let’s hope for a restock for fans and collectors who did miss out when the pre-order started in March, and let’s also hold out for the possibility that parts from this can be repurposed into actual MCU versions in the future, and our Born Again collections can be expanded past Daredevil and Punisher (and the incoming Jessica Jones). The McFarlane DC Super Powers line is now an Entertainment Earth exclusive, and Wave 2 of the 6-inch figure line has now opened for EE pre-orders. Sold only as a case, the set includes Batman Beyond, Starfire, Raven, Wildcat, Doctor Midnight, and Black Adam. The final 'Yo Joe June' G.I. Joe Classified Series Fan Stream saw the usual mix of Render reveals, name-only previews, as well as five new figures fully unveiled and open for pre-order shortly afterwards. Starting with the Render Reveals, we got a look at the new Retro Carded figures of Falcon, Flash, and the Cobra Valkyrie. There is also going to be a crossover with Tomb Raider, with a G.I. Joe Classified figure of Lara Croft. We will see more of her at SDCC 2026 with pre-orders in late July. Named, but not shown, as new releases are the Crimson Snake Arm, Slaughter Marauders releases of both Footloose and Mutt with Junkyyard. There is also a Sergeant Slaughter Triple T Tank vehicle incoming. In terms of the full reveals, with pre-orders almost straight after, we started with number 207 in the line, Clifton 'Iceberg' Nash, who comes with a snowboard accessory along with a sniper rifle, handgun, knife, and removable goggles. Iceberg is joined by a new release of Duke at number 208. Duke will include a combat backpack, rifle, twin hand guns and a knife. The first two McFarlane Helldivers II releases were in the premium Elite Edition line; the third release is now fully revealed as a standard Gaming Edition release featuring the TR-40 Gold Eagle armour. The 7-inch scale TR-40 articulated figure will feature a soft goods motif cape and will be packed with an alternative pair of hands and a Liberator weapon. The usual McFarlane circular display base is also included as is a collector card. The Gaming Editions come in a window box with a large rear image taken from the game's promotional artwork. As the Star Wars Vintage Collection prepares for the arrival of the Clone Wars Clone LAAT Gunship at the back end of the year, two new army builder sets have been revealed. The first features four Phase I Clone Troopers as seen at the Battle of Geonosis, complete with blaster rifles. They are joined by a set of Battle Droids, which includes one Super Battle Droid with alternative weapon arms and effects piece, and three B1 Battle Droids with backpacks and blasters. Each Troop pack is packed in a slimmed-down closed box with front artwork. Both sets are going to be Hasbro Pulse Exclusives. The Clone set will open for pre-orders on the 25th of June 2026.
