Another three Star Wars Black Series figures are being issued later this year. This set includes the 2021 Bad Batch figures of Hunter and Crosshair from Season 1, and the 2019 Doctor Aphra. As with the other reissues to date, these are not coming to the UK via Hasbro Pulse or via wholesale, but some retailers are importing stock at a slightly increased RRP. These are listed as August 2024 releases. On a mission gone wrong, Doctor Aphra finds herself at the hands of the formidable Sith Lord, Darth Vader. A rare survivor of such meetings, Aphra is recruited by Vader for her skills in reprogramming droids. This high-end 6-inch-scale Doctor Aphra figure is carefully detailed to look like the character from the Star Wars comics and features premium detail and multiple points of articulation. The Bad Batch, technically known as Clone Force 99, is the result of Kaminoan experiments to create specialist clone commandos. Crosshair is the team sniper who displays superior accuracy. Another trip we took recently was to the 'May the Toys Be With You' exhibition which is currently on show at the Beacon Museum in Whitehaven. The shop celebrates the original Kenner Star Wars Toys of the 70s and 80s as well as featuring a collection of Original Trilogy movie posters. The figures are displayed in acrylic cases giving you a clear look at each figure/ship alongside variants and rarer offerings including the Palitoy Death Star Playset - which I had as a kid - and some of the global variations like the Uzay Blue Star. We took a raft of photos - a selection of which can be found below - or you can view our entire gallery on our YouTube video slideshow. The exhibition remains in situ in Whitehaven until the 13th of July 2024. To manage our storage costs, news article images are archived after 12-months. I found myself in Leicester recently and finally was able to visit the Leicester Vintage and Old Toy Shop on Bond Street. This place does not disappoint for fans of action figures and vintage toys - particularly the 80s and 90s - with a layout that is extensive in content while remaining bright and airy to browse. The team was really lovely. They approached us to see if we were OK and offered to open up any cabinet if we wanted to see any items in more detail. They then left us to browse, and reminisce, in peace and we could have spent hours in there checking out all the goodies. We took a handful of photos and these do not do the place justice. The shop opens Thursday through Sunday so check out their website for full details before you make a special journey. To manage our storage costs, news article images are archived after 12-months. "Does it come in black?" McFarlane's DC Multiverse 7-inch scale release of The Tumbler and Lucious Fox from The Dark Knight Trilogy was first announced at WonderCon 2024. We now have a full look at the release with the full pre-order detaiils ahead of a July 2024 release. The Tumbler itself features an opening cockpit and seating for two DC Multiverse figures. Lucius Fox will include alternative hands, remote control and an equipment case. The Tumbler with Lucius Fox is a McFarlane Store Exclusive and this now includes international shipping to the UK. And yet there is more.... with Amazon carrying a Gold Label Exclusive Camouflage version of the Tumbler. This release does not feature any figures but as well as the paintwork, it also features some variations from the black version with rocket launchers and different front armored screen as seen when Bane took ownership of a trio of these during the Dark Knight Rises. This one is also a late July 2024 release. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham City for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker, who thrusts Gotham City into anarchy and forces The Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante. THE TUMBLER and LUCIUS FOX are based on their appearances in the theatrical smash hit THE DARK KNIGHT. LUCIUS FOX is designed with Ultra Articulation with up to 22 moving parts for full range of posing and play. Tumbler is made to fit two 7" scale figures. Tumbler opens for cockpit access.
